I thought this was well known.

It's always been the reason why he left WWF and Vince has never put him in the Hall of Fame.

With Slim Jim he made both companies money without ever appearing or wrestling.

There is no reason to fire him unless it's personal.
I had never heard of this. But I pay little attention to anything outside of the show.

That Forbidden Door Event is just huge. It could end up being the yearly wrestlemania for more hardcore fans of the sport.
I can see Kenny Omega making a grand return for the PPV.
I saw there's already NJPW/AEW TV matches lined leading up to it - just awesome.
Such a cool time to be a wrestling fan - I feel like this is the golden age of wrestling.

Huh? Its actually happening - its real.
Are you saying they shouldnt even do the event?
There was 20 years of Vince monopoly in the US and now AEW shows up and takes things back to the way Pro Wrestling began - intermixing all the different brands and companies. Its really wild and awesome to see.

I'm kind of torn on the AEW/NJPW event. I'm sure there will be great matches, but damn if anything outside of BCC hasn't been boring as shit feud wise recently. All the champs are just not ratings draws, and we are a month out of DoN, with the only real feud that seems to be building is Punk/Hangman, and honestly they've booked Page so much like a Roman that I just don't care anymore. He's cleanly beaten EVERY single main event performer thrown his way, and some multiple times. His arc should have been winning the title and then losing it almost instantly to show that he was too focused on the one guy (Omega). I'm starting to get to the point while watching I was when I watched WWE, using it as background stuff while I play games. They desperately miss Omega in the picture, and I'm not sure I one of crossover will do anything for gaining interest from anybody outside of their current watchers. I mean, trying to book 3 hours of TV, YT shows, and rebuilding RoH isn't enough already? Rosa has been champ for what? Like a month maybe now and Britt got more promo time last night then Rosa has had since winning the belt, while being saddled with the awful first feud for face champs Nyla to work with. DoN really needs to bring almost all new champions to shake up the current product.

What I'll say for the forbidden door is at least TK is doing something fresh that Vince has always been too afraid to do. I'm excited for it which is more than I can say for more anything the WWE does.

Hangman and Thunder Rosa are champions only in the name. How long is TK going to hold us hostage to to a limited worker with no mic skills. I just cannot understand what they're doing with Hangman.

Last night said everything about Thunder Rosa, you can put her in mexico/texas/chicago..... Britt is still the franchise whether she has the belt or not

Like my post above says, I'm torn. We'll get great matches, and I'm sure the workers are excited....

However, bookers will always be the reason that these things just don't work out long term. Who's top guy isn't going to be allowed to do the job, which company refuses which outcomes. It's all great to fantasy book, but no fan wants to watch their favorite wrestler put on a banger of a match only to lose cause...Creative control?

Like I said, cool idea, but lets not pretend that AEW/ROH don't have enough talent already to put on a supershow every single week and PPV already.

TK has had so many EASY freeway exits to get off this Hangman dreadful titles reign and instead he just keeps speeding up to bash right into a divider. I know he got hard about building up the "AEW Originals" nonsense that the pillars and him are, but for fucks sake, you have BRYAN DANIELSON, Cm Punk, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, Jericho, Miro, and a dozen other guys that at minimum can put out the same product you get with Hangman. This seems like an awful slog to get to him eventually going to far with the violence etc and turning heel so that babyface Kenny can make his hero return. If I don't see Page/Omega in a ring together for the next 3 years I'd be happy, so please listen to your network provider who sees CM Punk as the biggest draw you have and go that route. WIth the WB/Discovery merger finally being done, you don't want to be dragging ass in the ratings and having the face of your product only able to have bloody brawls to tick off your new Discovery overlords.

Rosa was the right person, but it was 6 months too late. Which seems to be a common TK problem, not EVERY story needs to be drawn out for 6 months. Can't wait for the quick belt back to Britt just in time for Jade to turn face and become a megastar there.

no i actually love the idea i was replying to the "Such a cool time to be a wrestling fan - I feel like this is the golden age of wrestling." part of the comment.

Thank god AEW showed up because WWE is just terrible these days , AEW is not perfect but its miles ahead of WWE.

The former Big Cass has been doing great work in Impact as W. Morrisey. The Recent Rebellion ppv was good fun. He teamed up with Jordynne Grace. Seeing Jordynne pick up a huge fucker like Mat Cardona is just really impressive.

Sorry to spam the thread but I'm blown away by AEW not picking up Taya? Seemed like a no-brainer to me. I know she's almost 40 but she can go. I know they can't hire absolutely everyone but the women's division is an obvious weak point.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't hire both her and her husband as a power couple. (Impact doesn't need that since they've already got Chelsea and Matt)

I thought he and the mouthy guy were fun in WWE. Too bad the other guy got derailed by accusations I think he got exonerated for.

Yeah I don't understand them not snatching Taya up, in ring and to help all of these below average females they have. Maybe it's just that there isn't enough spots for as many women in AEW yet with only 3 hours and only 2 of them being meaninful since half the time Rampage is skipable and they had to have had Storm as a must have FA, and likely at some point will snatch up Mia and maybe Athena? I do think unless there is some sort of heat from all the other places they've been that it's silly not to bring in Hennigan and Taya as a couple and let him for the first time in a long time just be himself. I hated everything about his last WWE run, and thought it'd be a quick signing with AEW and a chance to really shine.

Also- Your post about WM earlier and seeing what he's doing now makes me wonder how bad of an idea it was pairing him with Enzo in his WWE run, if that had anything to do with the attitude and work issues he had there. Or if it simply that he hit rock bottom and found a love for wrestling after being let go. Good for him though!

Personally I thought Cass' promo abilities were kind of under-rated because of the Enzo abilities. (Which to be blunt Enzo was good at "Sing-along" promos but mostly didn't get me to care about anything.) Of course I thought it was utter horses**t that Cass got released because he didn't do the segment with the dwarf exactly as it was written. (The only reason that segment had any punch at all was when Cass "called the audible". I guess if you're not important enough you can't get away with that though.)

Sammy nearly killed himself on that flippy ladder spot.
Im assuming he was concussed bigtime - you could see the refs checked on him for like 5 straight minutes during commercial. Kudos for finishing the match I guess but the dude cant get lucky forever pulling crap like that.
Glad Scorpio won it.

Getting tired of MJF going into these longass PPV to PPV challenge feuds. MJF just did this exact thing with Jerico where they brought in all these guest stars. Pretty sure he also did the same challenge crap with Cody. Shit is weak - the outcome too predictable.

I didn't realize something until I read some of those release stories. Have you seen Harland before they got their hands on him? They thought he might have been the next Brock Lesnar. Of course once they were done with him they made absolutely sure there was no chance of that. (I mean he probably wouldn't have been but they did their damnedest to make sure of it. No idea if he's any good though.)
