Expensive? 🤔

You can buy 4-5 super cars just doing the normal SP…. the economy is pretty good…. in fact I feel the game give too much money since last patch.

It is probably the easiest GT game to earn credits.
Meh you get 50 mil just by getting gold on missions. Plus the reward cars from missions cafe and more credits. If they want you to pay for it. They are doing wrong

My guess is that PlayStation got more involved in this matter and Polyphony had to change the economy for this game. No one expected such a drastic change.
Imagine if someone starts this game in a year with god knows how any more champioships, maybe extra Cafe menus, etc...you'll be able to easily buy the best cars honestly.

I wish I could play it more, but life's been busy!
It's a great game, and Polyphony keep impoving it every patch.
Economy is great and you can get about 40m by golding Circuit Experiences, which you should do to learn proper lines. If you are already an ace, then easy money!

GT is phenomenal. There's not a single other racing game with the amount of details this one has, from sounds to the unique cockpits and board computers on each car, I think the industry would be better if every dev had the same attention to detail on their games

It should be a bit hard to lean to first timers to GT games.
These that got Gold in Circuit Experience for GTS will have a easy job in most locations/tracks.

You can still do near 8 million only doing Bronze that doesn't even require skill or leaning at all.

It is a surprisingly good iteration of this series. I’m surprised how it’s replaced Elden Ring so easily for me when I was really enjoying that before GT7 launch.

Somehow they’ve nailed the one more lap feeling in a way I haven’t experienced in other race/car games.

I think it’s the short potted events, so even if you have only a few minutes or not wanting to concentrate for too long, you can still have some fun and when you’ve got more time there’s longer races and stuff.

Most race games and sims don’t have the short form events to do. So with GT7 in particular, dipping in and out each day is doable and rewarding whereas more conventional sims require a longer time commitment.

And then of course there’s the non-racing/driving stuff to do which is also fun.

It’s difficult to imagine playing a different driving sim now. PD have really nailed the gameplay side - as long as they keep the content rolling in this should have good legs.

Probably getting death threads here, but am I the only one who hates these license things?

I hated it back in the first game and I'm surprised they haven't removed it to this day.
I love them, definitely teaches you to be a better driver in the long term and I am just a sucker for trophies so I’m going for all of them. Stuck on IA-5 right now and it’s very tricky.

Good To know OP. It makes me want to buy it. I remember getting HOOKED back in the days, playing GT2 on PlayStation.

Not so much for car collecting. Just give me something to race with. The game right now doesn't justify the full price since it looks identical to GT sport, and has worse physics.

I can't even buy a ps5 at MSRP in any kind of store any where online and in reality.
same on the ps5 front. Before I dabbled a little into gt sport the last gt game I played was the original one on ps1 I believe.

When it drops below ÂŁ30, I will get it. Always online for single player is still annoying as hell

It's a much better game than people give it credit for. The dual sense integration makes all other driving games feel lacking now. The license tests are nice, but it would totally suck if it didn't load so fast.
I know that sounds like marketing speak, but I think the dual sense and lack of loading are a big deal for this game.
I believe you are right or near the truth.
Because what people are praising now is exactly the same content that people blamed in GTS :messenger_sunglasses:

This was the game that made me look at the Dual Sense with a different light. I couldn't imagine playing this on a PS4 with its 40 second loadings and a Dual Shock 4 for sure...

There is a crowd in GAF that doesn't play the game that believe it is heavy focused in microtransactions 🤷‍♂️
If it was not GAF I may not know the game has MTX.
They were never going to play it, they just wanted something to stir up controversy and fake a narrative.

I am still impressed with how the new dual sense haptics give you a better sense of traction somehow. I may be imagining it, but it seriously feels like it's helping me get a feeling for the different ways the cars handle.

It's what won me over. I've never been into driving sims on consoles cause I wouldn't invest in the wheel/pedal/seat, but always liked them in arcades. With the dual sense I'm liking a driving sim at home for the first time without having the wheel setup. Now it's actually making me consider getting the wheel setup at some point. The dual sense makes driving sims a lot more immersive and interesting, when it was just normal rumble, after about an hour or two I'd be like, ok so where's the combat? heh. Normally I just play combat driving games like mariokart or twisted metal or burnout takedown, etc.

I myself really wants to get in sim racing scene but there's just too many others things to buy, like are you using a controller or steering wheel. Is it any fun with the controller ?

I’m using a controller but i would love a good wheel one day. Maybe when the PSVR2 comes out

And yeah, this stands up there with astrobot and returnal as the best dualsense experience.

I had a wheel on PS2 and PS3, but skipped it on PS4 because they never really made me feel immersed even with the hardware feature improvements to them over the years. However if GT7 is playable in PSVR2, they may drag me back in. Would be awesome if there was one that had haptics as convincing as the dual sense.

I believe you are talking about the PC version of AC because on consoles it is not like that :p
Actually i was talking about AC ps4/ps5 version(original AC, not ACC). I never played on PC.

Is there a big difference between PS and PC version vanilla version, without mods? Because PS version feels great.. I read on forums there's no much difference in terms of physics/ffb?

GT7 seems so dour and boring. I would like to see someone who has GT7 and Forza Horizon 5 and compare/contrast the two. GT7 seems more sim but FH5 more arcadey.
I have both,

I vaslty prefere GT7 over FH5. FH5 is nice looking and appeal to casual gamer, and or people not really into cars. I would call it a "superficial" game in the sense that what you play in the firts 2 hours of the game is going to be what you play for the whole game. I find it shallow and repetitive, its like fast food.

GT7 on the other hand has something for everyone, the casuals interested by car games that want a nice looking game, people who want to get a bit more serious with challenging licences/missions, and simracers that invest time in competitive gaming (sport mode), tuning etc... It has several layers of challenge for you to explore. I also think that it's the car game that gets car culture the best, and is commited to cars and celebrating them.

There is differences… it is really bad on consoles imo.
Most people that talk about how good the physics is are PC users… that is why I assumed you were one one.

BTW the actual physics in PC give you faster lap times that can’t be reproduced in consoles… like 5s difference in a 2 minutes lap.

That is using the same well and car setup.

The tire model is different between console and PC too.

I have both games and I can confirm that GT7 is only be boring if all you want to do is drive your car through forests and deserts, whilst chasing aeroplanes, trains or a group of bikers. However, if you love cars and love racing, then GT7 is not boring. Different strokes for different folks.

Dont buy a stand. Buy a Next Level Racing (F)-GT Lite or a Playseat Challenge. You'll thank me later.
I thought about it, trust me, but I'm already full or crap and I'm supposed to move in with my girlfriend in a couple of months and I can't keep buying stuff.

I got a foldable one I can easily hide, once we settle somewhere I can consider getting a proper seat.

The playseat challenge folds away and doesn't take up much more real estate than a standard wheelstand.

Yeah, I agree. It's been years since I've played a GT game, but the last one I played was so boring. I much prefer an arcade type of racer, even though I'm not a racing game fan. But Forza Horizon 5 really grabbed me. I put in probably close to 100 hours. It's a lot of fun. Racing around a circuit in GT sounds boring as hell to someone like me who is not really a fan of racing.

But you really shouldn't be comparing the two games. Wait for the next Forza Motorsports game to come out. That's the real comparison. I might actually give a circuit racer another shot.

True. Forza Motorsport is probably the better comparison Should be coming out this fall.

I've been loving it. Not sure what people complained about, I got the cars I wanted, and my collection is over 50 already. It's been amazing! Been playing this and Elden Ring. Still have Horizon on backlog to finish.

It is extremely addictive. I had to give myself a hard stop after the cafe and the licenses to finish up Elden Ring (which I was playing a bit at the same time....but less and less).

From games are my favorite games ever btw...bt GT7 is in fact awesome.

I have both. I played Forza Horizon 5 for one weekend, after that I dropped the game. I plan to return to it one day, but what turned me off was the arcadey nature of the game, imaginary tracks, rewind, race resetting when you get out of the track, etc...

GT7 was an instant addction for me, progression and the simulator nature of the game suits my taste better.

But both games are good, is more a matter of personal preferences.

I'll explain it to you. GT7 is a racer for car lovers. (People that don't see cars as just appliances). Forza Horizon is geared more toward the arcade racer crowd.

As Lognor said, Forza Horizon 5 is more of an arcade game and GT7 is more sim. Forza Motorsport will probably be more like GT7

I just choose to not buy Elden Ring at all... I would have no time to play it due GT7.

I bought it at launch and it went straight into my backlog. I’ve been overloaded with game releases and after hearing about the mtx controversy ii kind of moved it down my list in favor of some other early march games like Triangle Strategy. I’ve seen picked GT back up and i haven’t played one since Gt4 on PS2.

I’ve basically been playing it non-stop since Saturday morning. I def did not expect this game to grab me like it has but earning cars, customizing, taking photos and the license test have been incredible. I think the license test are my favorite part, it feels like dark souls almost. You try it out fail, and you keep getting better each time. There ahve been some test where I def did not think I would ever pass it and 10 minutes later I just hit it perfectly. Its such a good euphoric feeling, like beating a souls boss.

All in all it feels really good good and the cars look really good. Environments def leave something to be desired though. This might end up being one of my favorite games this year.

I won a little white Miata today and dumped 130k worth of after market parts into it.

FQBcQfTXoAkoCtH

Really been itching to pick this up but, I don't want to play it on PS4 and that's partly because it doesn't support Dualsense. Apparently Dualsense is a really good substitute for a steering wheel.

Comes down to how available (at MSRP) PS5 is around Summer or early Fall. Wouldn't mind too much getting a decent wheel for PS4 by then if that's the only option for playing.

Honestly, mate, just get a bundle that you don't pay more than the package costs and it should be a good deal, even when reaching $800 for example.

What does a typical bundle come with?
