I play around 10-20 games at a time, am I alone in this?

Let's see, right now this is my currrent rotation, I play what I want when I want...

Dying Light 2
Weird West
Horizon: Forbidden West
Ghostwire: Tokyo
Far Cry 6
Stranger of Paradise
Fifa 22
BF 2042
Tiny Tina's Wonderland
Gran Turismo 7
Grid Legends
Teardown
MES5
Shredders

And others I can't think of off the top of my head. Also, MLB 22 is out this week so that'll jump into the list. I cannot and will not commit myself to one game at a time. I've never been able to do it.

For instance, today I've played Weird West, Tiny Tina, Ghostwire, Teardown, Shredders and Fifa. Love it.

I've gotten into a routine where I play a single-player action/adventure, a co-op game, and an RPG in parallel but never more than that.

Well I don't have nearly as many as you, but I've got six going right now:
Tunic
Yakuza 4
Forza Horizon 5
Brothers
Halo Infinite
Plague Tale

Depending on how much time I have to play and my mood I will probably play something different. If I have a good chunk of uninterrupted time then I'm probably playing Yakuza 4, but I also can get burnt out on that game and will hop into FH5, Halo, or Tunic for something different. I also sometimes get halfway through a game, realize I'm not enjoying myself and throw it back into my backlog. Maybe I'll come back to it, maybe I won't. I end up playing more games this way, since there is almost always something to fit my current mood.

For some reason, I can’t play more than one at a time. With SP games, I get weirdly obsessive. I bought Elden Ring on launch but my brain wouldn’t let me play it until I completely finished Sekiro.

Do you skip cutscenes? Can't imagine you can keep track of the stories in all of those.

I jump around maybe 5 games at a time. One or two where I pay attention to the story and the rest are just gameplay, no story.

maybe a few games max depending on my mood which usually rotates between a shooter or exploration/platform or racing I know how to get in the mood if I really want to focus on one game/genre at a time, but I'd rather just go with the flow & play whatever I'd currently be in the mood for on my time off. I still want to beat the games in a decent amount of time so I stick to one game per mood. like i'm not going to switch back & forth between mario games when I'm in the mood to play platform games

I don't see how it's possible to do this, I definitely couldn't. Being able to keep track of all the stories from each games, all their specific gamplay etc, it's too much for me.
The same way I don't really like watching multiple tv shows at the same time, but it's even worse for games with the gameplay added to that.

There's also the fact that when I start a game... Actually this is going to be a bit weird to explain, but I tend to be less interested with time passing, no matter how much I actually play it. For example, let's say I play a game for 10 hours over a week end, if the game is good then I wouldn't be bored of it yet at all, but if you only let me play like one hour per day, I might get less interested in it much faster in term of actual play time. So if I were to mix so many games like you do, I think I would quickly loose track of everything and just give up before finishing them, it really wouldn't be optimal for me at all.

I also struggle to get back into a game if I pause it for a while, because I will feel like I'm not remembering everything perfectly and possibly missing out on some details, so when I play a game I prefer to go all in and focus on that single specific game until I finish it.

I can play multiple games but only if they're quite different, like an rpg and then racing game, stuff like this, but not 2 story heavy games at the same time.

I used to only ever play one game at a time, but lately I'll juggle a handful at a time. It just depends on the type of game(s) I'm playing and how they're structured in terms of a typical and reasonable "session". Sometimes more, sometimes less. And of course if I'm really absorbed by a great game, I won't play much of anything else.

The longer I go not playing it, the less likely I’ll ever pick it up again. Once I hit the 2 week mark, I probably will never return to the game again.

So playing 20-25 games in parallel, realistically that would require a lot of time even if you’re putting in 30 minutes a day for any given game. If you’re cycling through them until you play them all once, then go back to something, it could be a while before you come back to it.

I used to be like this but my backlog completion rate skyrocketed once I implemented a "one game per system at a time" policy.

3 or 4, at most.
I can't image anyone doing more than that unless they have a lot of time available to play.

Ok proven that’s just too many in a rotation at the end of the day it comes down to 2 or 3 games of course every player is different.

I usually have a single player game and a solid online game to play with friends it was Elden ring and Gran turismo but I’ve done elden ring now so I’m on the hunt for a single player game.

I’ve been slogging through my games one at a time to make sure I don’t give up on any of them and move on to something else, gotta get my monies worth.

10-20 would be WAY too many for me. I could never be properly invested in that many at once. I usually play 2-4 games at a time.

I seldom play more than one game at a time. I like to devote my full attention to that one game until completion.

I'm mostly enjoying Horizon Forbidden West, but it is breaking me with how bloated it is.

I oftentimes have even more than that, but I’m big into arcade style games like shmups, racers and fighting or just retro games in general. As for modern triple-aaa stuff or whatever, I try to have at least one per genre like tps, opwenworld, top-down, fps etc

But yeah, it’s the only way to fly!
