Gran Turismo 7 Review Thread

Two mixed reviews.

One says it’s not a game for people who doesn’t love cars and one complains about the menu music being lounge jazz.

Yeez.
COD: "it's not a good game for people who don't love FPS: 6/10"

Now seriously...this for me is the game changer:

A game with licences and lots of "loading tracks", specially at first this was always the worst thing about Gran Turismo for me. I will not get used at these 1 second loadings for sure. Holy shit!

Anyway, an 88 on metacritic means its the best GT since GT4:

GT3: 95
GT4: 89
GT5: 84
GT6: 81
GT Sport: 75
GT7: 88

If this is the best GT game since the PS2 era, sounds great to me. Specially since it's a type of game that's not for everybody...

At some point you guys will learn to ignore the obvious alts. Look at who liked that post ffs, tells you everything you need to know.

It's been a tough few weeks so they are working overtime.

Amazing year. I'm playing 2 games at moment. Horizon and elden soon 3.

Gt7 the greatest game ever made. Sue me

Decent score for a track racer. Sony should also invest in more arcade-y racing games and bring back Driveclub or something.

Not surprising, Sony has had a history of blacklisting outlets that didn't give its games favorable reviews score as well.

His site literally gave Forbidden west a 6/10?

I would black list them too especially if their review score doesn't correlate to what they found "wrong" with the game. It was more of a personal choice that they didn't like it. Not that it had fundamentals that were broken or unplayable. A 6/10 to me says there are issues technically in the game or mechanics that dont always work.

I own the game and QOL improvements can bee seen in first couple hours of the game. I agree with it retreading a lot of ground. And agree its not a perfect game. But the QOL improvements with the added freedom and exploration is something only Breath of the wild has been able to achieve. Well Horizon achieves this as well and its world has a lot more living things in it, that really make you stop to watch.

His plan worked to get traffic on his site. Mission accomplished I guess.

Yep I'm still balls deep in elden ring and HFW. Still have Sifu to finish as well but that's now been relegated to the never ending void that is the backlog if I'm being honest. I'm genuinely considering waiting until I finish at least one of those until I get involved in GT7.

Made a crappy phPBB forum once ... once.
Elder ring is a fucking masterpiece. The problem is putting 100 on a game what have serious performance problems.
Yes mate - not shitting on it - its the same as some of the 10/10s and 5/5s for this too is all I mean.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

All reviews are subjective anyway though ..

Reading the stevior review for HFW I agree with some of it's point as someone whose put in around 12~ hours into the game so far.

Climbing and traversal is not good (bordering outright bad), the weapon selection is almost pointless, the side quests are just fetch quests, and there is a myriad of little glitches almost every encounter like enemies just spinning around in a pivot after dying, Aloy jittering above and below climbable surfaces 20 times in a second and whatnot.

Let's not turn into that "HOW DARE HE REVIEW ZELDA 88" meme, let's leave that behind at GameFAQs.

The reviewer that gave a FW a 6 gave ZD a 9.5

That site just wanted clickbait. They deserve to get blacklisted

I agree with the climbing not being great, but it's not broken. It's managable, and you obviously have not played any of the more intriging side missions. Literally after you get out of the Duant the game starts to really have more meaninful side quests. There's one with a character from previous game DLC, that is a multi arch that takes you literally across the entire map. And a lot of the side stuff later in the game mainly after you get to "your" base open up more in where they take you and what the source material is.

Once you get past the intro part of the game "map" wise side quests change in terms of things they present. Like way more lore, way more missions that are connected to Cauldron's, "The old ones".

Almost most people who spent 30-50 hours talk about how good side missions feel fleshed out. I will agree in beginning portion of map which is kind of the tutorial section "The daunt" it's very fetch quest because they are trying to help you understand all the new gear.

A lot of the early ones are for specific equipment upgrades that make life easier when you move on to middle of the map.

HZD came out 5 years ago to lesser fanfare and honestly had less glitches than what I've seen in FW so far.

And no, an outlet doesn't deserve to get blacklisted just for that lol.

Anyway, this is the GT review topic.

FW is a better game in pretty much every aspect. Funny how the reviewer had no problem with all the weak areas that FW improved on.

Lol yes they do. You send review codes to reviewers. Not worthless clickbait sites

This is a pretty good score. GT isn't a franchise that scores 90+ anymore. Its too dry and too sterile for many nowadays. GT Sport, which is my fave GT ever, hit only 75%. And I didn't mind the lack of single player career.

GT7 is Sport + more, so I should be good.
