Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch

There were some 'speculations' that it is a decision made by the publisher themselves, so that they could release the game in physical format in retail stores, not Sony.

Turned out that's very wrong. It is due to Sony
Neil Broadhead, marketing head at Wired Productions, told IGN that these changes were made due to talks with Sony itself: "The changes in content were made as a result of conversations with PlayStation in the lead up to our launch.

"Although the changes were not planned and the modifications did result in a slight delay in being able to start production on the physical edition, PlayStation fully supported us to help minimise this delay."
Ratings board the ESRB, rated Martha is Dead M for Mature on all platforms. A spokesperson for the board told IGN that it's unusual for companies like PlayStation to take decisions about what's appropriate into their own hands. They clarified that "platforms and retailers always have the option to make choices about the content they want to offer their consumers," though "situations like this are uncommon".

Probably not caring necessarily about the GAME itself, but the precedent this sets for Sony games and or third party games that release for the PlayStation brand.

What's even more confusing is that TLOU2 has some very gruesome scenes that were not censored.

So it probably gets third party developers by surprise when their games are censored, but Playstation's first party titles are not.

Wow, a horror game has grotesque imagery designed to gross out, horrify, and make the player feel dread. Meanwhile other games who do similar things (Mortal Kombat, TLOU2) are free to not be censored by Sony?

If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Nothing in the game is worthy of being censored. It clearly wasn’t a problem for ESRB and it wasn’t a problem for PC/Xbox marketplaces.

Just because you are incredibly overly sensitive and don’t understand what horror is doesn’t mean things should be removed/edited.

Im cool with it. Good luck getting on Apple devices too.

This is the REAL issue.

I can’t believe they are getting away with it.

"On PS4 and PS5, two scenes have been changed so they are no longer interactive. This includes the section featured in the game's demo, where the player character removes a woman's face with a knife, and another where the player cuts open a woman's womb with a pair of scissors."

Well, Sony has to the protect the PS fanbase from extremely graphic visuals like Martha is Dead and DMC bum shots.

Now if third party games really want to release games without graphic violence or sex, they should copy games like God of War and LoU whose scenes are a combo of edgy and tasteful.

New News New thread. The other thread was speculation, this is confirmation.
The other thread was the devs announcement of the cutbacks, it was not speculation!
and it was also pretty clear (even for me that my language is not English), that those cutbacks were forced to them _ so again, no new news _ but of course you would say that, and if it was a ms situation you would say the exact opposite

and accuse the games media and Sony gaf of ms persecution.

Fuck that, every artist should have a right to tell thier story, whether through gaming, movies, books or whatever else.

I would never condone censoring anyone's rights.

The fact that you want to make this a console war, instead of an artist war is very telling.
