Dying Light 2 to Support 120Hz Refresh Rate on Xbox Series Through VRR

It’s a cross gen game so it doesn’t sound that crazy that new-gen consoles can run it at 80-100 FPS or so. Add a pinch of VRR magic and you’re good.

Exactly if they've got a locked 60fps in performance mode then it in fact might run 60-90fps on average but at least 60fps.
Best to let people with a capable TV and console have those extra frames.
Nobody is saying it creates frames or anything, that's a stupid statement.

Most VRR-enabled TVs only use VRR within 45-60 and 90-120 FPS. So if the FPS of the game is within this range, great, if not, then only a very small fraction of the VRR users benefit from it at all.

The vast majority of all gamers have none of it and VRR does not magically generate 120 frames, but only adjusts the Hz of the display to the frame rate so that it is less jerky.

Totally clueless.
VRR doesn't stop working between 60 and 90 FPS at all, show us where this happens on LG sets that most people have, link it.

It's not just LG, I'm pretty sure there is no TV where it stops working between 60 and 90. Vizio TVs and one or two cheapo Samsungs go up to 60 and that's it, and the vast majority of VRR TVs goes up to 120 no problem.

Yeah I've never heard of that, sounds the most ridiculous thing yet and I've seen a few already in this thread where desperate fanboys try to downplay VRR.

HDMI VRR supports LFC, so a 120Hz panel will support VRR across basically the entire range. Even if the TV states 40-120 it will work below 40.

Also, I've never heard of a 90-120 VRR range.

I've never heard of any TV like what you're describing. Neither has Rtings.com.
Some monitors have a baseline VRR refresh rate of 45hz, but only over display port, which wouldn't make any difference for console owners.

Uh no. If FPS stay to 70-80fps VRR won't fix it. But hearing him seem FPS stay close to 120 when you run and jump around. Switch between 70-80 FPS and 120 FPS frankly it's a terrible idea (if it's that the point of such mode). The first Dying Light did something similar on PS4 (it stay between 30 and 60 FPS) and it was really terrible to handle. Hope I have understood wrong.

It's literally impossible have a serious conversation with you, isn't it? The hell is it fun of what I'm saying? You really need of a therapist.
You dont know what VRR is or how it works. Please stop commenting about it like you do.

And which open world are you talking about? It's not to be pedantic or sarcastic , I am genuinely curious because that's not something I've already heard.
Pretty much all of them. If I get 60 out and about, when I go in a building or down an alley, or things like that fps will be around 100. This game is locked 60 outside enjoying the view. I'm quite confident inside a building will be 100

Oh so it is just speculation then... Disapointing
