With the new megaton meteor Earth's life ending news of the day in the gaming industry. And having the Bethesda's precedent. Do you think Activision/Blizzard games (like juggernauts like Call of Duty for example) will be available in Sony's console PlayStation? Or will they be Xbox (and PC) exclusives in the likes of Starfield?

My bet is exclusivity, it makes far too much sense, also consider if for example your World of Warcraft subscription is now a part of Gamepass, and that Call of Duty is now gamepass etc. The value of this cannot he understated, and if all of that is available exclusively on Xbox... that's a huge play.

End game is streaming service only, no boxes anymore. So they will become exclusive eventually, just not short to mid term. I think you'll see at least a good chunk of their IP on competing platforms for at least another 5-10 years.

Current games will get continued support, anything not already done for Playstation will be either Xbox/PC only. We may see the occasional deal with Nintendo still.

This is 90% about COD with everything else as a bonus. Hopefully given time MS can help repair some of self inflicted harm Activision has done in the last several years.

On the contrary, the more studios you have and the more titles you are putting out under your core product, Game Pass, the more it makes sense to offer the products elsewhere.

The reason being that your product is so enticing that it becomes tantamount to an essential product. Being a gamer but not having Game Pass would be like having an internet connection but not watching free porn. And so those who do not switch over are unlikely to ever switch, and thus you will make more money by offering those people your goods at full price.

This is in effect what Sony does with PC titles, and why the delay exists.

Skyrim sold >30 million units and they are willing to keep Elder Scrolls 6 Xbox exclusive, so I'd expect anything smaller than that to be Xbox exclusive barring deals already in place, which probably only leaves CoD. If CoD keeps coming to PS5 there will be massive concessions from Sony, like you'll have to login with a Xbox account, have access to your Xbox friend list, Game Pass on PS etc.

Two possibilities were it to happen:

(1) Sony allows for MS to distribute on their platform but at traditional retail amounts. MS gets the revenue from interested players and can begin making the sales pitch to players that they can have it all for way less on an Xbox device.

(2) Sony allows MS to offer a limited version of GamePass on Sony platforms. What they will not allow, however, is for third parties to bypass licensing and will require them to participate with a Sony equivalent if they want exposure to PS players.

Some will, some won’t. If you think games like call of duty will become exclusive, you’re a fool. With microtransactions and Warzone being the cash cow that it is. There’s no way.

E) They are trying to force Game Pass on PlayStation.
At this point that seems very possible lol.
But why not just outright buy PlayStation if that is what they were trying to do? I think Microsoft really is focusing on Amazon/Google/Apple. But who knows. I don't know.

In my eyes, getting Activision + Blizzard is bigger than getting Bethesda was. Insane but hoping this means good things are coming from Blizzard!

I could actually see them keeping CoD multiplat but making everything else exclusive from now on.

With Warzone being the main attractor when it comes to CoD at the moment, I just can't see them not releasing new CoD games on PlayStation since it seems like they are trying in those new releases with Warzone going forward

Yeah, hard to tell how gaming will be in let's say 10 years.

Am I the only one that thinks this sale can be blocked by supervisors?

Think Nvidia buying ARM, Activision is just too big.
