Right so you are saying that wasnt cad bane? It could be just his "race" I suppose. After re-watching the trailer the character has no trademark bane equipment like the hat or tubes coming out the sides of his cheeks and bane as far as I can tell doesnt noramlly have an eye patch.
But that characer with the hat sittng down looked awful like Embo and then there was the rebel frog guy and the guy from the trade federation...seems a bit closer to clone times to me but we will see???!!? They also showed the guy with sunglasses carrying the critters on a spit branch twice....wasnt he on mandalorian?

Pre Episode 8 I would have been nuts for this kind of announcement.
But the last Trilogy (especially Ep 8/9) just killed my love for Star Wars. I want to check some of the Star Wars games out there but can't find the motivation...

Probably very early in development hence the CG trailer and lack of platforms. Still, could be interesting.
No publisher either. Did Lucasarts ditch EA? don't remember hearing about it. Will probably be the first non-sony published QD game since Fahrenheit and considering what their opinion were on Eidos and Atarigrames i hope they find a good one.

I don't know who is Cad Bane or Embo, I just did a search to see where is placed the High Republic inside the timeline to get an idea if there were going to be characters or stuff from some movie or tv series.
As I remember there aren't movies or tv stuff from there. So I assume they are from some book or comic?

I like QD type game's and a star wars story I think would work really well with their game style.

They are characters from the Star Wars: Clone Wars series. So around the AotC/RotS era. Embo is a guy with a metal hat (and was voiced by Dave Filoni, so although he's a one-off, fans know him,) Cad Bane is a blue guy who usually has hoses in his face and he's pretty prominent in the series (and is rumored to possibly be re-introduced in the live-action Mandalorian/Boba Fett shows.)
It's possible, probable even, that neither character in Eclipse is the same familiar character, just another from their race. (The Cad look-alike does not have his hoses and is wearing an eyepatch, which should make it obvious it's not him but I remember something about a canceled CW storyline where he lost an eye in a Boba Fett fight; in Bad Batch, he gets a metal headplate from probably that same fight.) However, it's weird that these very specific character types get hero shots in the trailer. (It also seemed weird that the droid had no "skin", just like the incomplete 3P0 in Phantom Menace.) The Mon Calamari character looks very different from Admiral Ackbar, for instance, so it's a little confusing that they didn't do more to make other characters clearly distinct from name-brand figures when the ones who look familiar to fans are the few in this trailer to get closeups.

Looks interesting, though it says nothing about the actual game.
I do wish they would get away from this windmilling lightsaber dueling style though. The damned thing has a POINT, there should be a lot more lunging and stabbing versus standing toe to toe spinning the saber like a baton IMHO. There was a little lunge at the end there though so maybe a proper swordsman was involved.

Don’t know the backstory behind David Cage hate and tbh I don’t really care. I care that I loved Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and especially Detroit, which is stunning visual spectacle. Not surprised this looks so good.
