We don't need to hang Sony out to dry over one fuckwit. If something further is uncovered then pitchforks it is, however, for now Sony have acted accordingly. Hopefully more evidence can have a light shined on these sorts of creeps and prevent them such as this YT channel attempts.

I'm positive Sony is doing their due diligence on this, but Senior VP's also don't tend to sit on computers accessing databases, getting into chats, etc. He likely sat in meetings all day. It is not cause for worry in that sense at all.

I'm pretty sure these gaming networks (Steam, Xlive, PSN, etc.) have systems in place to try and detect grooming type behavior in an automated fashion. Hopefully it works well.

He's a senior VP of a network essentially built for children. He absolutely does have access to plenty of stuff that could be abused if he wanted to. You cannot say that "SVPs at tech companies have zero access or ability to do this", that's ridiculous.

I get what you're saying. Feels like we need a different word for this. While this is wrong in every single way, it's a very different class of crime compared to going after babies or toddlers (fucking blows my mind every time I think there are people that are into this).

It took almost 48 hours for some news places to pick up the story …but a trans playtester works an extra couple of hours and has a bitch on Twitter and you have an entire internet army foaming at the mouth
this isn’t a go at the action that Sony took but highlights the double standards that some places or internet sites/social media have and how many of these places block or hide content that doesn’t fit their narrative or political alignment.
