Terra Field was reinstated to her job at Netflix after the company found "no ill-intent" in her decision to attend a closed-door meeting.


A Netflix worker who went viral for bashing the streaming service’s new Dave Chappelle special was reinstated on Tuesday.

Terra Field, who is trans, had been suspended for allegedly attending a quarterly meeting for directors and vice presidents.

“Netflix has reinstated me after finding there was no ill-intent in my attending the (Quarterly Business Review) meeting,” Field tweeted. “I’m going to take a few days off to decompress and try to figure out where I’m at. At the very least, I feel vindicated.”

Field included a screenshot of a statement from the company documenting the reinstatement.

“Our investigation did not find that you joined the QBR meeting with any ill intent and that you genuinely didn’t think there was anything wrong with seeking access to this meeting,” the statement reads. “Additionally when a Director shared the link it further supported that this was a meeting that you could attend.”

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed the reinstatement and told The Post the suspension had nothing to do with Field’s tweets about Chappelle’s “The Closer.”

Two other employees suspended for the same issue have also been reinstated and Netflix “will be distributing broader guidance about meetings and clarifying which are for which people,” the spokesperson said.

The company had denied a day earlier that it suspended anyone for tweeting about the show.

“Our employees are encouraged to disagree openly and we support their right to do so,” the spokesman said.

Field had criticized the Chappelle special in a series of tweets after the special was posted Oct. 5.

“We launched another Chappelle special where he attacks the trans community, and the very validity of transness — all while trying to pit us against other marginalized groups,” Field said.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos stood by the special in an email to employees after the controversy, citing “artistic freedom” and saying the company wouldn’t remove the controversial but popular comedy from its service.

Chappelle responded to the controversy during an appearance at the Hollywood Bowl.

“If this is what being canceled is about, I love it,” he said.

I get by life fine at work and with friends. Some of my best friends I still have I did kindergarten with them! Known them for 40 years!

But if you make yourself look and act like an outcast, most people will stay away. And chances of getting a good job sink down the toilet. Which means someone like this will lash out more struggling with making money.

Sometimes in life, you got to act and look the part. Someone can be a rebel all they want, but nobody says other people have to accept it.
