Cyberpunk is one of the most frustrating releases ive ever seen….

My biggest fear for Cyberpunk is that they see all the comments of "they should just move on" and just never make the next gen version. There will be people like me who will never give them another cent if they pull that (after all the promises of a next gen version), but they've probably seen how Anthem 2.0 got canned and there were never any long term reprocussions for that, so they may do the same.

There's no integrity in gaming these days. I think cd project is testing the waters already to see if they can get away with this based on their recent statements of "we're working on the expansion now" and "next gen may not make it by the end of 2021". I hope I'm wrong.

I hope you're wrong. I think the biggest difference, here, is that it is a high quality game on PC. At the very least, an expansion is warranted then.

A separate thought: Half the reason this went as badly as it did was because of the enormous marketing budget. Eventually, a ROI is needed on a budget like that, and I imagine the decision to release in the state it was, was a decision do-or-die situation that could have ended up folding the entire company into bankruptcy. CDPR has luckily avoided that, for what it's worth. They do make good games, but bad management destroyed any goodwill they had earned.
