** NOTE I'm not asking you to screen shot your top played games, note that the list in this op is not in order of most played, and these are not my most played games!

I'm in a spot o' bother. My girl (temporarily separate from me) is unavailable for our usual all-night phone call, so I can actually get some gaming with volume done! Huzzah! But I cannae find anything I wanna play! Bugger! The games I'm currently chipping away at - Dishonoured 2, a fresh Witcher 3 playthrough, AC: Origins; Fable: Anniversary - just aren't scratching my itch this eve!

SO I've been clicking through yearbook, and I find an empty page, there's a name without a photo, BUT I CAN'T FORGET HIS FACE! TELL ME WHERE DID HE GO, I WANNA KNOW! WHERE DID JOHNNY GOOOO

Sorry I got distracted by a wicked mad tune playin' in my head. Anyway I'm clicking through my games list and marvelling at hours played. And remeniscing. And scratching my head at forgotten playtime (apparently I've played 3x as much PoE as PoE2 which is weird because PoE2 is the one I wrote this epic post about)

So! Anyway! There are a few games here that I'm glad I got into! *not just famous/hugely popular titles...
(disclaimer: by my standards 100 hours signifies a legit gaming romance, you may be far more hardcore than I, all are welcome.)

- Neverwinter Nights 2 - 150 hours. I think I must have been rather bored/lacking new games to play during this period, but shit yeah I played the hell outta this back in '09 or so, and it's amazing how many features went on to Pillars of Eternity!

- Sim City 4 Deluxe - 110.4 Hours. This is one of those games which I can't believe I played so much - I mean, legit, I love this game and I put a ton of time into it, but this much?

-
Counter Strike: Source - 73.8 Hours. This is, of course, a nuanced one, in that for every MINUTE of those 74.8 hours I was a fucking CS;S savant, topping leaderboards from first fight to last. I dunno what to say, I'm just that good at CS. Must have been because fuckers didn't have insta-headshot cheat engines back then. Those days are gone.

- Football Manager 2012 - 705.9 Hours. Yes, I am a MacDaddy of Football Manager. Only it's shit now and I'll never play it again. I also played 2011 for 500 hours and 2013 for 601 hours. So in 3 years I played over 1.5k hours of Football Manager hoooly shit.

- Gnomoria - 17.1 Hours. I don't remember any of this but this indicates that I a) tried, and b) somewhat succeeded to the point of putting more time into it.

- Sengoku - 24.7 Hours. This was a paired down take on a feudal-Japan themed Crusader Kings. I was in love with the soundtrack and enjoyed getting on top of the gameplay to the point where, again, I could somewhat do what I wanted.

- Sid Meier's Railroads! - 47.3 Hours. That's a lot of hours for what is a lightweight sandbox rail management sim, I deem, maybe it isn't but maybe Steam's wrong because this game lives Bright in my memory. Everyone should give it a go. It IS possible to get it to run without crashing on Windows 10 these days.

- Total War: Empire - 55.8 Hours (+100s). This is, in my humble opinion, the best Total War (barring warhammer 2 ofc). It's so huge, so stately, you really feel like you're part of a huge international community of nations, it goes on for ages... This is a misleading hour count because the first time I played this game it was on a CD (remember those?) and that first run was for well, well over 100 hours. To date my most succesful empire was the Maratha Confederacy who I took to the Meditteranean and most of the backcountry of the US :p

- I'm also extremely proud of the hours I've spent playing games like Persona 4 Golden, Lumines: Electronic Symphony, Tearaway on Vita, and The Last Guardian on PS4 Pro, with my wife

... et tu?
edit: anyone know the song without looking?

The only regret is with Dota 2. What an illness of mind and soul that was. The gods had put me under a curse.

TBF the top 2 clickers are idle games so their playtime is heavily skewed. #3 is legit though. I used YNAB4 for years as I was paying off student loans & savings for a house.

>blink< actually gonna look into that lol nice
YNAB4 is not supported anymore. They have a subscription based model now with their web-based YNAB. I personally hate that subscription shit so I switched over to a 1-dev program called Buckets. It's basically a similar version of YNAB4 though, so it's perfect for me.

My account was made in a time when Valve didn't count game time, so the list isn't correct.
I've probably put most of my hours in CS1.6:

So I just looked at my list and the only regret is Avernum Escape from the Pit(108 hrs), I mean it has basically cheat codes in the menu it was so badly broken. I wrote a negative review of course and it really hit a bone with people. No game I have ever reviewed has received so many comments. Sort of like another thread going on right now, if you say somthing negative about a named franchise, no way you can be negative. Bunch of pussies.

If you ever need a good laugh just read reviews of people with 1,000 of hrs in games like Factorio, CSGO, DOTA, etc. good times.

I have around 130 hours in Metal Gear Survive. Yes, Metal Gear fucking Survive.
I'm proud of that. (I genuinely love this game)

I have 240 in GR Phantoms and dont regret a second. Fcking Ubistrash had no clue what they had, but it was right before Siege so understandable, but they had the perfect FTP model shooter in place and as usual threw it away.

I posted this, but then I never actually did what the OP asked.

The games I am most proud of are Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Skyrim (both editions), and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

I love those particular Final Fantasy games. If Tactics ever makes it to Steam, that will also be up there. I also spent hundreds of hours with modded Skyrim. And, of course, who can forget Master Chief? I've gotten most of the ~700 achievements for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, including beating the LASO versions of each campaign. I've also completed most of the playlists for each campaign, including the multi-game playlists.

Elder Scrolls Legends. I got on it like crack. When the game was on peak I was among top legends. Got my gamingid listed on bethesda website on montly basis as top player. The game was good but unhealthy for me. The time must be around 500 hours

I don't know if I'm proud over my playtime, but there are games with three digit numbers (or more) where I believe the time was well spent.

- Terraria - 680h. I've played new characters/worlds, done all the achievements except for the fishing one. If they release another mega update I'll probably sink another 100-200h into it.
- The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - 380h. Only got 49% of achievements on that one, miiiight pick it up again to mop up a few more.
- Stardew Valley - 349h. 100% achievements and multiple playthroughs, like Terraria... More content and I'll have another go.
- Call of Duty: Black ops 2 - 1024h. Best COD on PC along with MW3, rest are kinda cack and no longer on Steam anyway.
- Team Fortress 2 - 698h. Still play it from time to time.
- CS:GO - 347h. Reached Master Guardian Elite and called it quits. One aspect I'm actually proud of, as I have single side deafness and managed to get that high.
- Warframe - 4554h. Good game, stopped playing it so I can play actual games and not just a glorified hamster wheel.
- Hades - 106h. I don't regret a second of those 381600 seconds.
- Oxygen Not Included - 232h. Still playing that, I'll probably double the playtime before I'm done.

Then there's "THAT ONE"
- Crusaders of the Lost Idols - 47,392h. It's a typical clicker game I started playing while I was sick and did not have the strength to play actual games (I'm much better now). At the level I play it now, I just change its diapers and turn some knobs a few times a day and it's on 24/7.

... turning off your computer? Hah, how gauche!

- black desert online, all my progress got deleted, because i didn't knew i needed to transfer it. currently got a lawyer on there ass to refund me the money i spend on it. See how that goes.
- Tree of savior didn't play it for many years, great game until devs killed it.

Both games have insane amounts of hours, reason i never turn my pc off which means they where active 24/7 when i played them. Real gameplay is far lower.

They are billions, best RTS i ever played. Its just godly how good it is i play it every now and then, that's pure gameplay.

Path of exile, great game until they made talent tree's way to big and way to many maps now, so not touching it anymore.

Elder scrolls online, mmo done right. Overworld could use some improvement same for raiding but its a solid effort.

Divinity original sin 2, a favorite of mine i return once in a while to do a impossible hard run and try to beat it.

Age of empire online, reason i distrust microsoft to the core, they shut down one of the greatest online RTS and there game client when there attention moved away from PC gaming without effort to put it in a freezer. luckely some nerds made there own private server and u can still paly to this day. Great game.

Smite, nice filler game.

Valheim, one of the best survival games i ever played. By far the best game this year has delivered. Probably won't score well as goty because no big name studio behind it that sponsors outlets for reviews.

Conan unconquered, the co-op they are billions what was promised, absolute dud of a game. Only reason i got 110 hours in it, i wanted to beat it on the hardest mode and managed to do so.

Wolcen, basically path of exile with far better visuals, sadly gameplay was buggy terrible to the point everybody left. Devs also didn't feel like caring after awhile anymore.

3Dmark, that's just steam, probably 500 more hours before it was on steam. What can i say i benchmark a lot.

Counterstrike probably 1000+ hours as counterstrike was before steam.
