It was available for the series controllers, not the xbox one controllers

no just the new Wireless controllers.

Well, that's a bummer, I remember reading about DLI way back in early 2020, with a promise that older controllers will get a FW update to use the new protocol as well, and I always thought it was already the case since XSX launched. I bought the Elite 2 controller two weeks ago and I was welcomed with a FW update, and I was 100% certain that's exactly what the update was for.

What is the criteria for auto update? Ive had two updates queued for no mans sky and fallout 76 for a few days. I think they are 10gb plus. They dont auto download/install just sit there until I manually trigger them.

Turned xbox on earlier and song of iron started downloading instantly. But fallout and nms are doing nothing. What gives?

Fallout and nms are on external so does it not work on those games. Thats the only point of consistency i can dee

I am trying to pre-order Alan Wake Remaster on my Xbox One S, but it says : "Not Playable on this Device". According to the official site , the game is going to be released to Xbox One too, so i am confused about it.

See an update on ALL borderlands titles on my Series X right now... didn't they already receive enhancements? Or no? Can't remember...

Lately didn’t have an urge to play big games so I’ve been focusing on smaller, indie stuff. Just wanted to share a few thoughts on them:

Song of Iron - already wrote about it, but now I have finished it. For a game made by one person, it is certainly a good looking and occasionally fun game, but it is also super janky when it comes to controls. There is an achievement for finishing the game without dying and I saw that quite a few people managed to do that - I salute them, because it is super easy to die because of controls.

Ender Lillies - A pretty damn solid, Japanese insipired 2D souls-like. I haven’t gotten far, but I really like it so far.

Recompile - I think I already said something about it, but it is a pretty solid Tron inspired 3D metroidvania. Doesn’t hold your hand at all, so it can get a bit frustrating to figure out where to go and what to do, but I kind of enjoy that aspect. Seems like a short game, because I only played it for about 3 hours and I have already gotten most of upgrades.

Myst - Man, I’m getting old, because I could barely figure out a few puzzles and then got permanently stuck.

Breathedge - I kind of like it. A bit like Subnautica in space. It is very jokey and the sense of humour is a terrible mix of low brow and Hitchhikers guide type humour that tries so hard I actually found it somewhat amusing.

Lake - A super relaxed game where you deliver mail in a small Oregon town and talk to people. can be both banal and cringey, but I somehow managed to play it all the way through, but I would never ever recommend it to anyone. Wish they worked on graphics a bit more. Pop-up, shitty shadows don’t help with immersion.

The artful Escape - Not so much a game, but an experience. Pretty damn awesome. One of those games where you can make hundreds of screenshots anytime and post it in the screenshot thread. There are some performance issues here and there with framerate drops. Anyway, I love it.

Is 120hz something I have to enable game by game? I see that there is a setting in the menu of the console, but is it something I have to enable on the TV?

Your TV needs to support 120hz at your selected resolution in the Xbox. For example, my x900e only supports 1080p 120hz and requires me to enabled some other setting in the Xbox settings to get it to show up.

If your TV is HDMI 2.1 it should support 4K120, so check the manual or online if you need to enable some sort of Enhanced HDMI setting or which port is 4K120 capable. Once that is set up, you should just be able to select 4K and 120 HZ in the Xbox video settings as the output. Then, when you launch games that support 120HZ you should be able to find them in the graphics settings in-game.

Yeah but we don’t know if those studios can deliver good games now Xbox own them

Psychonauts 2 88 OpenCritic.
Deathloop 88 OpenCritic.

I’m sure that’ll be the end of that narrative (it won’t).

Gaf’s GOTY Returnal sitting at 86 OC.
And there's still more to come in November and December

It is badly communicated, but the game wants you to run away and dive from the cliff, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance-style.

You have to play those games in last month I believe. Not sure why you can set it up yourself, because this is annoying. Maybe you are waiting for the patch before you dive in, so I don't fully understand the logic by MS put in place.

You go to settings > tv settings and there it is

New Pictures from the guy, who's Xbox Series X Burnt and was harassed on Reddit for trying to get insurance. Jesus, that looks really nasty; as per the article where he gave the statement, it was short-circuited. How could it be this bad?

Because it's a BS troll. That's why the thread was locked here. There's nothing in the system that can catch fire like that. It looks more like his house caught fire and his system burned in that. Most likely his home meth lab blew up or something.
