Anthony Mackie to star as John Doe of the new Twisted Metal TV series that is in development.

Loved the old game series. Hope they get it right with the tone and brutality as those individual storylines were awesome to play through for the multiple endings.

Maybe they'll have a new winner each season?

Was definitely not a fan of his performance in Altered Carbon.

I was trying to think why although he’s not a bad actor (he’s great in Hurt Locker, All The Way, The Hate U Give, etc) I just don’t like him in certain roles. And it’s charisma.

The lack of it was an issue for Altered Carbon and for the various Marvel films as Falcon. It’s also going to be an issue for this TV series and Captain America 4.

Nothing against Anthony, but he's not a very compelling lead man to me. I did watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and that changed my mind a little bit about him, but if it wasn't for Sebastian Stan bringing the buddy cop vibe into the series I wouldn't have cared about it. Also, I watched the first season of Altered Carbon and tuned out the second season mostly because of the middling reviews, but also finding out that Mackie was now Kovaks. Now the series is cancelled.
