I‘m mainly using the Switch on this charging stand, playing with the Pro Controller or SN30 Pro. I really liked the new internal stand on the OLED model, but you still cannot charge it on it‘s internal stand.

Just beat No More Heroes 3. I don't know what the general consensus is but to me it was better than 2 which was better than 1. Combat saw a huge improvement and the gameplay loop was a lot better. Enemy variety was the best yet with plenty of difficult encounters, it was actually pretty tough avoiding taking damage. The boss fights were good with the lead up into the later ones being more creative. FU was a very good villain imo or at least way better than previous games due to actually seeing him quite a few times before the final fight and taking out characters close to Travis and the player (assuming you've played previous games).

The episodic format was an odd choice though. It felt like a pitch to Netflix for a cartoon if anything. Since I played this in two sessions it did get slightly repetitive watching the episode intro and outro every hour and a half or so. The game did seem to want me to play for an hour at a time and I'm sure that's intended but I didn't want to spread it out over a few weeks, I already have enough in my backlog.

I don't know if Suda was teasing No More Heroes 4 with that ending or if it was wacky nonsense. Guess will find out in ten years.

Suda said the series is complete.
I know what thread you're talking about but he also said this earlier:

Again, that hasn’t stopped Suda from thinking about what the fourth mainline installment would be like. “If I were to make No More Heroes 4, it would probably be in about 10 years or so, both in real life and in the game’s time,” he explains. “One of the overarching themes of the series was a sort of Rocky-ish theme. A lot of Travis’ story reflects that of Rocky Balboa. So if Grasshopper were to make a No More Heroes 4, then what I would want to do — not to say this would definitely happen — is basically make the story reflect Rocky IV, where Rocky goes up against Drago. In No More Heroes 4, Travis would go up against a super hardcore enemy.”

Is this rumor another one to take with a grain of salt or less, or might this one be true? I think Wario's Woods was a GB game and that one is on the NES online app for Nintendo Switch

Can't believe this is coming to the switch, i have known about ass detective due to the manga popping up on amazon but it seems there's gonna be a switch game coming too. Think phoenix wright but the main character has an ass for a face  sadly even with furigana over the kanji it's a little beyond my skill level, the chances of this ever getting english is zero there's no way i could see this fly in the west lol.

It's partly based off of a datamine which I find to be more reliable than just taking people's word so I think it probably will.

I wouldn’t be so sure, the localized comic books are hugely successful in my own country.

It would be amazing if it did but it's got so much stacked against it. Some stuff like this is just too weird to escape japan on a wide scale, i'm tempted despite the reading barrier still but it's gonna test my reading skills to the max to be able to solve the case clues thankfully with it been squarely a kids game based on a kids property all the kanji has furigana over them so i should be able to easily read everything. Even if it means i have to look up a load of words.

Still nowhere to preorder yet will guess amazon japan will have it up at some point i did find the box art though

Just wanted to say how amazingly fresh the experience is playing a modern Zelda at a higher difficulty with the 'hero' modes, it feels much more rewarding, and more epic in a way, sounds silly for a hard mode but Zelda has some challenge issues since it jumped to 3D imo

Like, actually fearing i would get killed in Ocarina of Time dungeons :O having to pay attention at enemy attacks, exploring hyrule is cooler when you really need those heart containers and bottles to win.

Made replaying Ocarina , A Link Between Worlds, Twilight and Wind Waker much more enjoyable, some games don't need it but im very happy the easiest Zeldas got one as they are now more awesome🏹🗡️🛡️

im starting to miss the new Super Mario Bros games, its weird because they needed a break, Nintendo got lazy with them, but did they played so well! Mario Maker is even more recycled by design yet nobody complains XD

MM is not a good replacement over the level design of NSMB U imo i hope it comes back better than ever, obviously with a brand new soundtrack, gameplay gimmicks and graphics they made Odyssey and Bowser Fury after all Nintendo is not playing safe anymore.

Guess we’ll wait a bit longer for the next Mario Bros, I do hope they go all in. We had enough New styled games. Especially when there are games like Rayman, Ori etc which show how good a 2D styled plattformer can look like. I was expecting they wait for the Switch 2, so I guess it will not come soon.

How many unannounced games do you think Nintendo has for next year? I just noticed, that Splatoon 3, Breath of the Wild sequel and Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope are scheduled for 2022, all of them had their predecessor released in 2017. Now we only need a new 3D Mario and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 to get a repeat of 2017. If something even close to that would come, it would probably drive sales and likely push Switch's successor even further.

New 3D Mario on the successor. Unlikely to be an Odyssey sequel.
I hope rumors are true and EAD has been working on new Donkey Kong! For Switch, then move to Odyssey 2(its not gonna be a direct sequel but likely the same style of gameplay, combined with Bowser Fury ' open world')

i been thinking what a shame is that Super Mario 64 will never get a proper remake, that game is absolutely fucking classic, but the chance is gone because Nintendo already made it for og DS, they won't put the work on remastering for Switch or any HD console as that will take resources from new games but 3DS was the one system they could upgrade Mario 64 like the Zelda games, with brand new assets now its never happening :'(

64 can stay as it is. When zip look at the PC “remaster” including ray tracing it’s great but the 3D All star version plays as I remember the original. I’d rather get a new entry or Galaxy 2.
Donkey Kong 3D would be a great chance for the anniversary and would aim in the same direction as Metroid Dread in reviving some old IPs. That would give hope for F-Zero or even Wave Race. They need to find a balance between going HD and keeping the Charme.

Quite a few I'd say. A lot of Nintendo teams haven't released a game in a while (Monolith, the Mario Kart team, the Pikmin team, the 3D Mario team, HAL) and we know Intelligent Systems release a new game every year. There's also rumors about new Koei Tecmo collabs involving Nintendo franchises so it should be a pretty busy year, especially if they release the fabled DLSS Switch revision alongside all these games.

I don't think we'll get new hardware until 2023 at the soonest. I guess if Switch sales start to fall off a cliff things could change, but it would be best to hold course until compute manufacturing returns to some form of normalcy.

I hope they do something big next year. I love nintendo. I just haven't had much reason to play my switch anymore. I did play Skyward sword. I need a repeat of 2017 though. I would love a new zelda or 3d mario game soon.

You have little faith, im sure Mercury Steam and Nintendo will deliver with Dread. Retro was a mess before Nintendo came along and put them in shape before making Prime why not MercurySteam? i think they always been talented just need the correct guidance.

So far Dread looks to be delivering what fans want, classic Metroid gameplay at 60fps, with brand new abilities a new story and big explorable world. The involment of MercurySteam is a non issue after Samus Returns, considering they had such a low budget and was a 3ds game

Retro knocked out of the park with Prime. Samus Returns, while not a bad game, isn't at the same level. I hope it is great but my expectations are in check after their initial outing.

Samus Returns is far from my favorite( its probably my least liked 2D Metroid counting Other M) but i give them a pass because its the 3DS and was very decent for what it is a remake of the worst recieved 2D Metroid.

Dread looks fantastic, if it dissapoints i will change on MercurySteam but i don't believe it will.

Part is because it already adresses most of my complains in Samus Returns, the 30fps framerate, lack of an actual plot, visuals, boss/enemy variety.

I'm not so willing to give them a pass when AM2R released around the same time. I had a much better time with it, a fan project, than I did with MecuryStream's effort.

i can't say much about AM2R, but Returns would have been cooler as a 2D game on original DS with similar graphics to Zero Mission🤭

Not much they could done on 3DS, but at least the 3D graphics gives it a new perspective that the sprite Metroids can't have, that will continue with Dread, for example the cool cutscenes and camera views

I think the final character for Smash Bros is gonna be the Chozo guy from the second trailer of Metroid or at least someone Metroid Dread related.

The timing seems to be perfect and I'm getting the same vibes I had before Byleth was revealed. The timing was right and it made too much sense to put him in and tie it to the Fire Emblem DLC and promote the ip and now I feel like we're in a similar situation where it makes perfect sense.

Nintendo is also going in on Metroid Dread, I think they might go all the way.

August for me was getting all Videos unlocked in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Nice flashback to when I was still into skateboarding. Now I’m a bit in the waiting mode for the OLED model and Metroid.
Was even thinking about Wario Ware but then, I the demo wasn’t for me.

Theirs been been quite a lot for me to play, I'm not sure if i'll survive in October with OLED, Metroid Dread, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, Tetris Effect, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and Mario Party Superstars.

I'm gonna be super broke next month.

Super Metroid has masterful design. A game like this was well ahead of its time until Nintendo matched it again or maybe even bested it with Metroid Prime? Either way, this game has stunning design even for someone playing for the first time in 2021

Hidden and missable items during the SNES era were on an entirely different level

Decided to cancel my oled switch preorder and use some of the money to get a second screen for my switch to exclusively use to play all the tate game content i have, as i have a crazy amount of games that use tate mode mostly shmups although there's some nice stuff on the namco museum compilation too. I decided that just buying a oled switch as a potential backup console in case my current one died a bit of a waste.

Been playing Shin Megami Tensei III, It's fun but Im not as into it as I was SMTIV. Plot and characters seem nonexistent and it feels quite easy, although thats probably because early on after being defeated by the Fiend I spent around 5 hours grinding off of the Ginza enemies and I might still be over leveled. I'm kind of hoping things pick up.

Just completed Super Metroid not too long ago. Overall, for its time, going to rate this game easily a 9.6 out of 10
Was not expecting any of that. I’m trying to figure out what took place and why but there’s no story to go by. I’m guessing the game manual and official guide provided by Nintendo back in the day told the background story. But the final escape segment was intense. I reached Samus’ space ship with only 5 seconds to spare before Planet Zebes imploded

This was the first Metroid game I finished. Played Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Super Metroid, and Metroid in that order but Super Metroid is the very first Metroid I set out to finish and man is this game well made. I honestly don’t know how they managed to make such an impressive game and release it in 1994. The map and exploration for its genre is nothing less than 10/10 and I only collected 70% of the total items in the game. I probably saw about 90% of it but some things I left behind to pursue the mission at hand and others were too difficult at the time to reach

If I had bought Super Metroid as a teen and played? I would have probably never finished this game unless I had a guide. And I have no idea how difficult Metroid Dread is going to be, but if it’s anywhere near the difficulty of Super Metroid then I might buy my first amiibo to take advantage of those daily missiles it offers

Just bought Starfox Adventures and Starfox Zero for some reason. Will probably play them sometime during the holidays but I guess I'll look forward to forming an opinion on Zero based off of what I play instead of just seeing it..
