I have the same Seagate 4TB HDD attached since launch day as you for back compatibility games, I have never had the issues you are experiencing, once say every 4-6 weeks’ish when I turn my console on it won’t show up and I have to faff around unplugging, turning the console off and back on etc, it’s maybe worth noting in case it makes a difference, I always keep the Series X in energy saving mode, never instant on.

Thanks for the info. I also have a 2TB HDD hooked to my Series X for game captures - maybe it cant handle both being used at once? Ill have to test.

I was always really drawn to Twisted Pixel's games but usually ended up disliking the way they played, especially with LocoCycle and Comic Jumper.

It is cool to see it get more attention though, I don't remember it getting much press even as a launch game for last gen.

I wouldn't recommend playing it without a mouse though, the gamepad controls are significantly worse imo

It all depends on what type of games you like. Game Pass has something for everyone. When it comes to "hidden gems" I can recommend Frostpunk and Stellaris. Frostpunk is an extremely harsh survival city builder with a good story and choices and Stellaris is a really good 4X strategy game.

Don't know if those games qualify as hidden gems but they were for me and thanks to Game Pass I was able to experience them.

We rebuilt Myst from the ground up to look stunning and perform amazingly on a variety of gaming systems. One of the technical features we’ve used to achieve this is AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. This allows us to crank the graphics quality much higher than we typically would be able to. Thanks to FSR, Myst ican run in 4K at a smooth 60fps on Xbox Series X with the highest graphics setting across the board, and at 1440p at 60fps on Xbox Series S!

With FSR, we effectively decrease the screen percentage of the game down in the background, then allow the super sampling process to sharpen the image. There are some minor differences to how the game looks at native 4K resolution without screen percentage adjustments, but overall, FSR provides a nearly 75% increase in performance on Xbox Series X|S on a 4K display, without sacrificing much visual fidelity at all.

All the time lol. Just forget about them, they will appear in a day or two.

I must say it's one area Sony did improve lots. I remember waiting ages for trophies to pop but the new overhaul makes them instant, both in the notify and the UI.

Doesn't really bother me except when you see 1 achievement 16m and then can't see which one it was.

It is indeed. I mean, I was happy to buy Death’s Door, but pretty much Game Pass is all I need to be an incredibly satisfied gamer. To be honest, I’ll never be able to keep up with my Game Pass backlog. And let my say that I consider this to be one of life’s GOOD problems to have. And now, given the Xbox road map, I think I’m going to be a one console dude this gen. At first, this wasn’t my plan.

Awesome game! Finished both the original and the new one. Def the new one, having Luckeys default position standing is much better IMO. And 120fps on Series is a nice addon.

Anyone have any problems with external HDD disconnecting at random on Series X?
Im using a brand new official Xbox Seagate 4TB HDD for all backwards compatible stuff and its been randomly disconnecting like crazy. It kicks you out of games if youre playing. I even got kicked out of a game that was installed on internal for some reason when the message popped.
I saw a couple posts on reddit about this too. I wonder if microsoft is looking into it.

I tried different ports, full shutdowns, unplugging stuff, tried different wall outlets and even different surge protectors. The only solution I know is just to not use the external HDD.

During plays no,but the popup message "storage ready" sometimes go crazy as hell

Same. I really hope it delivers in a big way. I hope it gets an 88 MC or above, although I know that’s not always the best indicator of quality.

In my opinion, this is the first real indicator of Microsoft’s hands off approach with their acquisitions.

They purchased Double Fine in 2019, obviously the game was already in development but Double Fine were having to scale back their ambition. Post buyout they’ve been able to include everything they want. They’ve had money and time from MS, and now they need to deliver.

Yep they've mentioned how they were able to add in all boss fights (they were gonna be cut), given plenty of time to polish and make the game they wanted. Plus, they had access to a lot of resources regarding mental health professionals via MS to ensure their game remains grounded in empathy/reality while still toeing that line of playfulness and humor on darker subjects.
