PS5 Spiderman Remastered Now Available As $40 Standalone Purchase

You can't argue for something to be "very much worth the price" then use discounts in the very next sentence as a supporting argument lol.
I'm not arguing. 40$ is worth the price and it's a fact. All DLC are included, updated graphics, stable framerate et cetera. They should have made a heavy discount for those who have the original, though.
As for the discounts, just mentioning that the price will go down eventually.

Also I don't see the game on the store, so this seems like it was a mistake. I'm sure they'll sell the game separately at some point but it's too early. Same thing happened with CoD Modern Warfare Remastered.

I bet it will be $20 soon.
Right now they want to entice people who wants to buy Miles Morales but haven't played the first one so they see it is a better deal.

I say, in one month tops, it will be $20.

So, quick question, what is the cheapest way to buy the remastered? i heard that you can just rent morales (or buy then return the day later) and just upgrade to the ultimate edition for 20 euros and that unlock the spiderman remastered that you can download separately and then return morales, is it correct?

Replaying this now (Original play through on PS4) if you ignore all the side content the story and game is really really entertaining, Raimi levels of good.

Graphics are incredible playing on Fidelity mode. Not interested in RT perf mode.

In terms of how to buy it, sorry mate can't help, I got mine with MM at launch but don't see why your method wouldn't work except you need to buy the remaster through the menu of MM and im not sure you can get a refund that way.

Well, if i just borrow or rent morales for a day or less i can do that and return morales with almost zero money loss, my question was more if it's true that buying the upgrade for morales really unlock the remastered as a standalone game that you can play without the morales disc, on reee many people said that it is possible, but i trust gaffers more.

Yeah I think its possible, they remaster exists as its own game completely separate from MM, I have it digitally, but you don't need the disc to play the remaster.

But boss fights really sucked, too easy. If i remember correctly side missions at least gave you 1 or 2 interesting/challenging bosses. So don't miss them out, although the missions itself are no masterpiece.

I have the ps4 version that I'm yet to actually play and due to not being able to upgrade it to the ps5 version, I probably won't ever get round to it.

The playstation way of doing things is stupid!

Fantastic package. The DLC is great. It's broken into 3 parts but it's really just one story and all together is probably longer than Miles Morales.

Never played the dlc, how is the story? do they gave you some new combat ability or cool suit?

That is correct and exactly what I would do. Fuck paying Sony $40 for this remaster, especially after they dicked around and waited ten months to allow you to purchase it separately.

Didn't they say there won't be a separate release?

Well, good that they made the 180° on this but $40 is a bit to much as most PS5 owners might already have the PS4 version which is not that old to rebuy it.

Well unfortunately the gs doesn't have a return policy for new games and the used copy of morales is only 1 euro cheaper than boxed new, i don't know how these guys are still open...

The game is great, but there's no reason to skip Miles Morales, especially at this price. Get both for a little more and have fun!

You're in for a TREAT. Played the Remaster on PS5 and was a joy. A TRULY joy to play.

Sweeeeet. I had a PS4 and grabbed a One X then Series X and never upgraded to a PS4 pro so I have a heap of games on the PS5 I am geeking out on right now. 😂

My little bloke loves Spider-Man too so looking forward to playing it with him.

So this is why I never saw the option to get the native PS5 version. I thought I was tripping about them releasing the game separately from Miles but this thread bump lets me know I wasn't going crazy. This is asinine.

Not sure if it's still available, but how much does/did the PS5 version of Miles Morales cost that included Spider-Man Remastered?
$40 seems pretty high.

Anyone else not able to purchase this on the ps5? I have the original game on ps4 and bought the reg edition of miles morales on ps5. I have not been able to purchase this remaster. Have tried many times on the store

The story is pretty good with Hammerhead as the main villain and sets up major character development for Yuri Watanabe, possibly to tie in to the story of Spider-man 2. There's new suits yeah; there might be some new gadgets too but there might not, I don't remember.

I brought a key for it online a few months ago and it was around £25.

I hadn’t played the game on PS4 so it was worth it for me.

However I cannot justify paying $40 for it. It’s also cringe seeing fanboys defend the profiteering shenanigans of multi-billion dollar corporations.

A key??

This is good news, not because I plan on rebuying it any time soon, but because having it listed as a separate SKU probably means it will eventually be a PS+ PS5 title.

It was a PSN store key from Eneba. You just renew the code on the PSN store and you can then purchase.

Whole thing looked suspicious but worked lol
Yeah i saw that key from eneba but i didn't trusted...is it legal or they can fuck up your sony account?!
