Scarlet Nexus debuts at No.8, with 58% of sales on PS5, 21% on PS4 and 20% on Xbox consoles.

Interesting that the PS5 version sold the most and the PS platform share is around 80% even with Microsoft marketing the game.

Every is waiting for it to drop on GP. I won't buy any games on XBox as long as I'm paying for GP, I'll just wait for them to be free
I think in the long term that will be why GP will hurt Microsoft if gamers just have that attitude. If enough GP buyers say " I won't buy that game, I'll just wait till it's on GP. "We will have to see if that comes to fruition, by end of this gen.

Majority of people who are fan of Japanese games mostly likely own Playstation and Switch, which why most Japanese games will sell more on those systems rather than Xbox.

I ask this before Scarlet Nexus got released, what was the point of Microsoft paying for marketing rights for this game? They should have known the game mostly going sell on Playstation rather than Xbox.

I would say there's a much smaller market for this kind of game on the western leaning Xbox, I admit it, when I see a game like that, it's like it activates Predator stealth to me, might as well not exist. Thankfully not all Japanese games look so blatantly anime to me, it's an immediate turn off.

I say that as someone that grew up collecting Manga (the distribution company) VHS' as a kid (Guyver, Akira, Fist of the North Star etc), something about a lot of modern manga and anime that really puts me off...it's like most settled on the same style and it looks really glossy and overproduced, there used to be more variety of anime styles from my perspective.

A good comparison is the original Thunder Cats, yes the newer version has better animation, but the originals style is less cutesy, more gritty I guess. Also, the original intro can never be beaten!

I agree with you, although I feel like the real badie here is this GP I think. It does feels like people just wait those games to came on it(maybe people find a new way to avoid "anime" games, who knows), dunno what they were expecting with an approach like that.
