Sony seems to be providing more depth and variety, and upgrades like FF7 Remake Intergrade are a very welcome addition.

Halo, Forza Horizon, and Flight Sim are all bigger titles than anything releasing on PS5 this year. The last Horizon game as of Nov 2020 had been played by 24 million people. Flight Sim and Halo will still be played by millions several years after their release.

This isn’t really a stick you can use to beat Xbox with but not PlayStation any more.

PlayStation are just as dependant on sequels. Ratchet, Uncharted, TLoU, Gran Turismo, God of War. Going nowhere, and I’m not complaining.

If we’re talking variety, MS has released and continues to release a flight sim, a racing sim and an arcade racer, a host of first person shooters and a third person shooter, games like Grounded and Minecraft Dungeons and a 2D platformer in Ori. Going big on WRPGs moving forward.

If you mean, being disturbed by cinematic scenes in the middle of the gameplay a great game, then I don't know what a great game is.

I am playing spiderman, and I am at 45% in term of story, and every time I do tiny bit progress, I get cinematic scene every time. I was chasing this doctor guy in the festival mission. And everytime I beat these guys, I get a cinematic scene played at. That is a shit way to a rune a gameplay. Like cant you shit do it as gameplay voice, instead of actually showing these useless cinematic moments.

And honestly, I hate these kinda of shit. Ruins the gameplay for me. I am here to beat up bad guys, not being forced to watch shitty cinematic scene every time I do something.

The core mechanics is great. I enjoyed the stranger scene in the god of war, and its my favorite moments. But cant say about the rest of it.

When I play a game, there are 2 things I love about it. Music, and the gameplay. I like to enjoy the pace, and give me more freedom playing those characters.

The problem is they are making different games. Those games are targeted to a different audience. While Sony targets other audience.

There are people who only like turn based rpg, just like how there are other people who enjoy shooter games/rpg gamea/racing/sports. They don't like other genre games. That is what Microsoft is targeting. And by doing that, people will compare them to Sony.

I haven't seen anyone talking about why Sony doesn't make halo like games, or sea of thieves.

Both companies just went to their different targets. Sony will continue to produce their games, same as how xbox will continue to do weird games. Both companies attract different customers.

Each console has its advantages and disadvantages. Sony needs 3rd party games for multi-player side, while xbox needs 3rd party games cover for story driven games.

Without those 3rd party games, both consoles would useless, and people will get tired from it.

It’s a fact, and if Sony single player games were as low on the pecking order of single player games as Halo and Gears are as multiplayer games, then I would say the same thing. What’s the point of these first party exclusives being just another option in the pile? What makes Forza Horizon so good is that it’s best in class. That’s what I want, whereas as far as Halo or Gears go? Would be a list before their names popped up.
