Anyone considering an XSX instead of a PS5 after the E3 conference?

No, more like skipping both of them for now. Pretty underwhelming E3 if you ask me.
Elden Ring looks amazing but Souls-like games are not my cup of tea.

To be fair, both console should do just fine like they always do. This year, Playstation might only need a little more patience.

And in any way, consider yourself lucky if you own a PS5 .

I remember the first Switch year, the draught was something else.

Nope never fuck MS and Xbox why would I become apart of that ecosystem?

As for you why not just build a PC or use a mobile phone to stream their games? They’ve made it clear time and time they don’t need you to buy an Xbox.

95+% games are the same...but Xbox have gamepass.and is a little bit more powerful ....PS5 is not an option this gen. I'll probably take a second hand revision hw, that isn't so immensely big at the end of gen to play the few exclsuives that interest me

Not instead of. In addition to.
I went from going into this gen with the perspective of only needing a PS5 and switch/switch pro to realizing that I would really like an XSX and gamepass.
I would sub to gamepass and use that for any game that came out that I wanted and PS5 would be for exclusives and anything that wasn't on gamepass.

Now what is funny about this is because of how hard it is to score a PS5, I'll prob end up with an XSX first this gen. Once set up with that, I might as well wait for a hw revision of the PS5.

I will maybe consider buying a Series X at some point when they’ve released more of their 1st party titles (and if they are good) but right now the only things that even remotely interest me are the Forza series

I'm considering one, yeah.
But I am not buying another Xbox until 2023 at the very earliest, I need to see quality games actually being released before making my purchase.

Because I need $3000 to have a beefed up PC? I dont care about PC gaming and never will, console gamer since 2000. Those that do have a PC, sure why woudl you buy an xbox? But rest of us we only care about consoles.

You'd give up Ratchet & Clank, Horizon 2, God of War 2, new games from Naughty Dog and the inevitable Spider-Man 2 for what MS showed at E3?

No. I'm quite familiar with Sony's offerings, and I'd like to continue with the next installments in those franchises. I don't have time for multiple consoles, nor have I ever owned more than one console at a time. Just waiting to get a PS5.

Kinda wishing I did earlier since their BC seems to be near flawless and will be carried forward on every system. It's an objectively better investment for any third party games that run similarly. Sony at the moment doesn't let you play your PS1, 2 or 3 games easily. Those investments just vanish.

Maybe at the end of the generation, when it'll be cheaper, and when (probably) all first party games announced will be on gamepass, them I'll get some months of it to play them.
Them I'll get some months now and them to play something that catch my interest.
But the PS5 will be my main console through the generation.

Have a Switch, XsX, PS5 and two gaming PCs all serve their purpose. The conference did make me change my stance on Game Pass but not the system. SMH, Yea I bought into it. I know.... I know.
It's a no brainer at it's current cost. We'll see later when MS ups the price. Just buy 3 years of live gold cheap and convert to UGP for £3.

You'll also be able to play it on Xbox One via cloud streaming. What with Cloud, Xbox and PC support, you can play it almost anywhere and everywhere! Great for (nearly) all the gamers! :)
Streaming is rubbish. I'd rather play it locally every time. Judging by some of the xbox fans they must all have exclusive access to Starfield gameplay especially they way it's hyped from 30 secs in engine cinematic...

Microsoft doesn't have complete bc. 50-60 title of the first xbox is just a pr move. Sure Microsoft is way better than sony in bc.

I'm a switch only owner, but I'm considering a series X now; flight simulator and stalker 2 really impressed me, and I'm afraid that BOTW is going to be a little bit too incremental for my liking, even in terms of map. And in tired of Nintendo being so stingy when it comes to the budget of their games, besides a few exceptions like Zelda or 3d Mario.

Dude did you read my post lol? This is not about which console has better exclusives. Obviously i still want my GT7, new GoW and Horizon but my consoles I also play a shit ton of third parties on. I have over 90 games on my PS4 and maybe 20 of them are exclusives. I dont buy a $500 console just to play 20 games on it. So the whole point was, hey I can either continue to keep paying $60-$70 even for all the third parties or I just realized, holy shit I can pay $100 a year and have access to all those, most DAY ONE.

SONY can announce Silent Hill, MGS 27 or whatever else, thast not the point. The point is, watching the E3 conference, a brand new title is part of the gamepass. You dont wait 3 months or more, a day one game is literally free for you if you have a gamepass. And considering I also play a ton of third parties, this sparked my interest. Stalker 2, Forza Horizon 5, Starfield and Flight Simulator....I just wake up and download them with my $100 subscription a year.
12 months of GP Ultimate is $180....Why pay for the whole year though? Why not do it for the month whenever the game that interest you releases?

Neither console really have a compelling reason for me to purchase one at the moment. That said, if I didn't have a single console I'd be much more keen to buying one as it's a great time to jump into the Xbox ecosystem if you have never been in it or been away for a few generations. Having access to a ton of BC games across all the consoles and access to newer things via gamepass is a very compelling reason to a new guy jumping into console gaming.

No, I'm too invested in the PlayStation ecosystem. I have 3 years of plus stacked, a 300+ games digital library, headphones, I like the controller. Xbox lost me.
I loved my 360, but the PS4 grabbed me and I'm here to stay...unless Sony royally fucks it up.

Nothing that has happened over the years has made me re-think being PC/Sony/Nintendo. That's the sweet spot for me in terms of being able to play what I want. I had an original X-box, but nothing from MS since.

Gamepass *is* a great value no doubt, but I'd still just rather play on PC and "own" what I want to play. (I know you can buy via Gamepass as well.)

I'm also not a fan of big companies becoming too big which is a danger I see with MS buying everything. I won't support that inasmuch as I'm able to avoid it.

I got both consoles, Series X is basically PC for me. But I wouldn't buy PS5 now since games are expensive and Sony is doing the same sequels I have already experienced on PS4. Getting Sackboy instead of Ratchet seems a better investment to me.

Now sir you know for certain you don’t need 3000gil for a gaming PC suitable for your gaming needs

Not really, in fact after E3 im more inclined to get a PS5, but thats more personal taste Sony is showing more support from japanese developers + their solid first party studios and what Microsoft showed (or didn't) first party wise doesn't grab my attention.

However i still think the PS5 is an ugly beast i don't want that thing in my house waiting for the Slim model 🤣

Sony fans aren't insane for wanting to stay on Playstation. It's just the contrast Gamepass presents that makes them look insane for not considering playing on Xbox's platform even if it's on PC. I know that sounds like a backhanded compliment but let me explain.

Paying full price for games is the NORM. Gamepass is what is insane right now.

It's kinda like somebody offering you a fantastic deal on a car you never really wanted. It sounds great but it's just not your thing. Nothing wrong with that.

Some people will get that car just because of the insane value, while others will say...I'd rather pay for the car I always wanted. There's something to be said about PS+ offerings and PS Collection as well. Maybe that's enough for some folks. Also PSNow is gaining a little traction so maybe there will be something comparable to gamepass in the future.

On the other hand, and honestly the best scenario, is when Xbox is selling the car you want with the same deal. If you love Forza, Halo, Gears and are hyped for Starfield along with the other games and hidden gems Microsoft n friends are dropping, then Xbox Series consoles and PC is utopia right now.

The reality is the future is bright for gaming on Xbox. PlayStation, well Sony, are great at what they do, but it does seem there is an end of the road for them.... Unless they pull out all the stops. Granted, it still comes down to exclusives because 90% (something around there) of third party content is on both. But the value proposition heavily favors Xbox.

I can not wait for sales numbers at the end of this year, and the year after it, and the subsequent one...Revisiting dumb opinions is part of the fun.

You must have incredibly narrow genre preference because their show hit on almost every genre out there.
I like Japanese games and JRPGs and Xbox severely lacks in that front and the Japanese games they do get like Scarlet Nexus, I can already play it on my PS5, there is not much reason for me get Xbox.

So yes... you have a narrow genre preference (JRPG). You are correct that as of now XBox doesn't have much for you. But you are also more of the exception than the rule.
