Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade - PS5 4K HDR Gameplay (Quality Mode)

Game is live on the PS5 in NZ and Australian PSN. Yuffie DLC is still not there or has some issue in it, so Square done goofed there lol. Game has two modes. 4K 30 fps called Quality mode, and 1440p 60 fps mode called Performance mode. To me the differences in 4K to 1440p are hardly noticeable unless i play on the big big screen. The 60 FPS is amazing imo. There's no going back to 30 once you experience it. Also HDR is implemented in the game.




Just waiting on that Yuffie DLC.... and I'll edit the thread with Performance Mode video once it's ready. Cheers

One of my favourite games of last year, cant wait to platinum it again, I always said after playing it on PS4 Pro that this game was MADE for next gen, looks amazing

I purchased back in the day the original digital deluxe edition... do I have the Yuffie DLC free?

I'm not able to purchase or preload any of the Intergrade versions from the EU store

No Yuffie is PS5 exclusive apparently. You'll have to fork over more money. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

nope, Yuffie is it’s own DLC exclusive to the ps5. There is no pre-load or easy purchasing.

The video is not in HDR (yet). Maybe YouTube is processing the HDR version, but at this moment is only SDR. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah Perf mode is far superior as I thought. Looks identical on my M1 but the framerate is absolutely making it better.

Yes, I hear some people are experiencing that issue, HDR videos take a full day to process (which sucks). At leeast the ones in 4K. I'll check in a few hours, I really look forward to seeing how it look in HDR and 60 fps on PS5.

This game messes with me. I get triggered by the ojisans who made all the decisions for designing that game trying to get me hard with tifa's cleavage. If i wanted a Japanese grandpa to rub one out of me I'd take the train and sit next to the one with a 1L can of
Keirin.

Better cleavage graphics won't help me here.

I still don't know if I enjoyed this game or not - there was a ton of filler quests but many that had actual good rewards so I did them all and felt dirty afterwards.

It's one of the few games I bought on disk last gen and I gave it to charity once I was done so would have to buy it again for 60fps (or 4k which I wouldn't use) which doesn't seem like something I should do but will I? Who knows..

I'm in the same boat. The battle system was fun, the character designs were off the charts... but the level design was absolute shit, I never really felt like I was in Midgar as it was just a JPG background image most of the time and the story took too much of a Kingdom Hearts turn for me to give a shit about it.

Sounds like a good time to move completely to digital with the Digital Deluxe ps5 version so you get the Yuffie content.

from some of the capture I watched there were some pretty hard drops in framerate at 60 fps mode at certain points in cutscenes...like when explosions happened in front of the camera or transparencies, when sephiroth first appears in front of the fire there were hard drops. thankfully while in game it looked really solid. There are some nice improvements over the ps4 version. The DF comparison will be interesting.

I'd like to know if the HDR has changed, I think the HDR-enthusiast concensus was that it looked good in isolation + highlights are good, but turn it off if you want the original vision because it messes with the black level and other parts of the image too much.

I do have to agree with that. It also sometimes messes up bright spots on my TV. I turned it off after capturing this video.

Why just 1440p? Surely the ps5 is more capable of that with 60 frames. Outside of character models, nothing in this game seemed particularly taxing on ps4

Of course, but everything else looks maybe a little better...? I dunno I can’t tell but I’m not a graphics person anyway, I just don’t care about that latest and greatest lighting or whatever, so naturally I’m not looking for and noticing those kind of things. 🤷‍♂️ However side by side you can clearly see this looks better than the original, and not just the door texture... should have never shipped that way to begin with 🤦‍♂️

Anyway, I hope this is a good dlc tho, I’m looking forward to playing it one day. Don’t have a ps5 but I’ll probably get one when ffvii remake part 2 releases in 2027

LOL at 4k/30fps. The game does not have RT and it's not even that great looking to justify it. They should have taken some lessons from Insomniac devs on how to make 4k/60fps a thing.

I really doubt the Yuffie DLC will stay exclusive to PS5 for long. How many FF7R players are there on PS4? 5+ million? And that is excluding PS+ players.

I don't care about graphical improvements on PS5, and I wish i could replay it on PS4 Pro with Classic Mode set on normal or hard difficulty. I think the best way to play FF7R is on Classic Mode. The action part was kinda off for me, especially in later fights when things in battle start to get frantic, and AI not cooperating and switching from action to command select each time just gave me headaches.

I didn’t find anything on the terrible PS store.
