Overwatch, Crossfire, Valorant, Doom (doom has clamber tho... which I am not a fan of), Counter Strike GO... so basically all the successful ones except CoD have no sprint, no ADS and no clamber (except Doom) as a standard ability.
Overwatch has Solider 76 which has a dedicated sprint ability but no other character has... and some have rifles with ADS but that ADS is comparable to classic Halo ADS

edit: Paladins... does paladins have Sprint and clamber? I don't think it does... some characters have ADS tho
I was just playing doom eternal and thought it was fantastic - I love the dash mechanic and stuff if they had that in where it was super fast like that I think it’d be all right. Going back to old halos tho feels really slow, I’m just thinking of the shooters that felt the best to me - I think recently Wolfenstein, titanfall, cod, doom eternal

Don't care about the campaign really but is the multiplayer free to play ? ... If so Im there, I've never gotten into a halo multiplayer before I hope it plays somewhat like destiny 2 I'm looking forward to it .

I think that no matter how mediocre it looks, some people will say it's magnificent.

I think that no matter how great it looks, some people will call it a pile of shit.

Halo Reach in ranked is played at 120% speed. play that, the movement speed in that is faster than Sprint in Halo 4 or 5.

the thing is Sprint is literally only making Halo worse and has ZERO benefits. all they have to do to make it 100% obsolete is increase base movement speed so it is like the 120% setting in Reach (which again is faster than Sprint in Halo 5)
also FOV has a lot of influence on how fast a game feels. Play Halo Reach in the MasterChief Collection in ranked and set the FOV to 120... it's about as fast as Doom Eternal

yes it is F2P. No XBLG needed anymore on console too, but it's F2P on PC anyway

It has to impress especially after the flak the reveal received. The thing is, there are going to be people going in hating no matter what the result is. I'm just hoping the result is immensely positive for everyone on that team's sake.

I'm sure many people will watch the presentation with pre-determined mindset. What they'll show will be used to justify their pre-set minds.

I have no hope for this game.

343 failed to understand halo players by adding loadouts in halo 4 (cod).

343 killed MCC on release 2014-18 (killed classic fan's interest for 4 years). Probably the worst launch for a video game ever - maybe 2nd now to Cyberpunk - so possibly worst mp game launch

343 added micro-transactions in halo 5 (full-priced game). (plus the campaign and multiplayer was terrible and overall not well received - missing content at launch added later as 'free' DLC when it should have been at launch). Multiplayer lacking player-favorite playlists also did not help. Additionally, never forget 'Hunt the Truth'.

-essentially 343 has already fooled me 3 times and more.

It think naturally fans of the series will more than likely be happy and excited about it...

However I don't believe it will sway many who wasn't interested before without some type a beta to go along with it's E3 presentation

If a grappling hook is the most groundbreaking innovation they have in store, then it's going to be a huge disappointment.

1) 343 was a bit obligated to carry on what Bungie started with Halo Reach. You can blame Bungie for that.

2) Who cares if TMCC didn't arrive in perfect shape. The game is awesome now and worth the wait. It's a Halo fan's cocaine. You can't be helped if you're still upset about the game's initial release.

3) Micro-transactions that only impacted warzone... 🙄 Everything else was purely cosmetic. Warzone was a new game mode and kudos for 343 limiting Micro-transactions to that one mode only. Not to mention the Micro-transactions contributed to numerous tournaments that kept the competitive scene alive. I'll take that over what most games do with Micro-transactions.

Unrelated I dislike the poll. It's another loaded question poll where you can only agree or disagree with the OP's loaded question. It should have an option to say it will simply be a good game and fans will be happy. Regardless, I think the game will impress. It's crazy we have everyone basing their opinion on a small demo of one small part of the entire game. Forge, theater, multiplayer, warzone, firefight , and who knows what else, but we haven't seen anything of the game yet.

I mean all they gotta do is make the gameplay similar enough to H2/3 and Reach. The art style seems less like 4/5 and more like the older games so that’s cool. This is 343’s last chance to get it right, I wouldn’t trust them with anything else if they fuck up infinite when they had a year to polish the game up. We gon see very soon though.

id would impress if they were developing Halo. DOOM 2016 is a top tier fps, even today Halo Infinite looks average next to it.

The base line is 1.3tf outdated Xbox 1 graphically I can’t see it being that impressive.

People seem to forget gameplay is king and if it can half decent graphics showing some great fun gameplay then all that should matter.

Last year the gameplay looked no different than halo ce.
Don’t worry, unlike cyberpunk it doesn’t have to run on PS4 so it won’t be held back.

I hope it'll impress me, but I feel like the reception will probably be lukewarm.

I don't think it'll be disappointing at least.

I think this games failures is what prompted MS to buy Bethesda IMO! With that being said, I don’t think this game is gonna live up to the hype what’s it been known for! You’ll hear praise fir about a month then it will fall off the cliff like gears

Gameplay wise I think it will be very well done, no worries there. Graphically it will be just fine, just not so impressive for a next gen game.

If nothing else this will be a very entertaining E3 when we get to see all the reactions one way or another.
Truly. E3 really IS the Gamer's Christmas. Like children who are satisfied with what they got UNTIL they see what other kids got instead.

People will be happy with what 343 did with Halo Infinite until someone else comes along and tells them why shouldn't.

Can’t see any big changes happen in a year so it’ll be more polished but still disappointing compared to the 2018 engine demo.

Exactly. There's not much they can do in only a year, it would have taken a couple of years to fully overhaul the graphics. It will be better graphically but I'm not expecting anything amazing.

Best case scenario is it looks pretty good, plays excellent and 343 MCCs the hell out of it fixing it up so eventually they roll out proper graphics for the XSX with RT.

Same. I am not really good in Destiny PvP but it does holds my attention. I am eager to try Halo MP if its free.

To add some positiveness I think it’ll have a superb image quality, polished to the max and they’ll probably reach close to 4K resolution. Maybe we’ll even see a performance mode reach 120fps as well, won’t impress in gifs and trailers but should look nuts when you’re gaming.

Framerates have nothing to do with visuals, and even then Ratchet and Horizon with their performance modes will look better still than Halo.
Having to render a game at 60fps definitely affects visuals. That's why games like the upcoming Ratchet and Clank and Horizon 2 will have separate 60fps modes instead of being 60fps by default.

Gameplay will be fantastic.
Visual I believe will recieve a huge improvement, but it won't be anything mind blowing. This is a cross gen after all. I would keep expectations in check. However, I am expecting the delay to be very beneficially.

Can anyone speak to 343 having the talent of a rockstar or a Guerilla? Fill me in? Halo fans don't seem to think so... Anything like the folks at Santa monica studio or naughty Dog? The exclusives bar has been lifted really high by the ps4, and one does not simply create something that lives up to that standard. Look at cyberpunk, very talented indeed and yet, still, probably a bit naive...

the lord of the rings orcs GIF

I hope they can bring something legitimate to the table, but I'm really not sure. Latest screens seem to indicate that they persist in their uninspired decision to make most of the cliffs look like the Giant's Causeway as rendered in N64.. okay it's a Halo under construction but is halo really built by the same rules as Minecraft? Some ancient technology~

But i digress, a game is much more than graphics. I'm sure this game will be really fun. I'm just not sure it'll drag much grudging praise from outside it's fanbase.

I doubt halo can ever return to "throw money at the screen" level.

Truth might be that 343 has hit their skill cap. 2 Entries already and we are still riding on the hope that this one...this one will be the one.
I would still play it because I like lengthy single player campaign.

I'm looking forward to it Didn't have an issue with last years gameplay reveal. It looked to be the most Halo game made in years in terms of visuals (insert its looks like a OG Xbox game joke here) sound and gameplay
Anything better is just going to be a Brucie Bonus

I am sure that if they present it they will be going all in after that disastrous reveal.
They already had it front and center, green lit by the top to be good enough that it could be their only launch game. I’m not sure they understand what the market was expecting going into this generation.

Key features I want but likely won’t get:
Ground/mud/sand deformation from vehicles
Vegetation physics when enemies walk in grass
Big explosions with lots of smoke and debris
Look down to see your body
Watch the water ripple and show your reflection as you walk through water
Fog, rain, storms, flying leaves
Foot prints

Is that too much? Maybe. But that’s where we need to go this generation in my opinion instead of just increasing the resolution.

But I think they said that they’ll go for a clean look, because that’s what Halo has always been. So I expect a high res, shiny, polished and static world, anything else is a bonus.

I think now that we've seen how good Horizon looks (as a cross-gen game, that is), anything less than "looks really nice" is going to be a failure in the eyes of anyone who isn't already super into Halo (and already thinks it looks fine).

In other words, I don't think they are going to change any minds. People made their minds up like a year ago.

The internal meltdown I personally will have if 343 doesn’t blow it out the water this time around...🤣
