So I’m going to trade in my OG Switch for a Series S, GAME has an unmissable trade in deal at the mo that I just can’t resist!

So my question is, when I eventually rebuy a Switch when the Pro comes out, how easy will it be to just pick up where I left off? I have online so my saves are backed up, so I assume I’ll just be able to log in to my account on a new switch and pick up right where I left off?

Anything I should know?

I haven’t really thought about it. On the top of my head: Factory reset the machine is the last step and take out your micro SD card if you got one. Cloud back ups are great.

I don't think you should have any problems for the most part. Just be aware of some games not having the ability to backup/transfer like Pokemon.

Yup, I’ve left the card in and account open for now to make it easier to test but I’ll be sure to take it out and make sure it’s reset before I leave the shop.

Yeah, checked that too. Dark Souls doesn’t back up but meh.
