CD Projekt says it’s still waiting for Sony’s approval to bring Cyberpunk 2077 back to the PlayStation Store

During a shareholder meeting on Tuesday, CD Projekt management was asked to provide an update on the progress of its discussions with Sony and when these talks might conclude. The topic was not on the agenda for the meeting, but president and joint CEO Adam Kiciński chose to answer the question.

“Unfortunately, I have no new information in this regard,” he said through a translator. “We are still in discussions and with every patch the game gets better and there is a visible progress, but as we said the decision is an exclusive decision of Sony, so we are waiting for the information about the fact that they took the decision to bring back this game. Until then I am not able to tell you anything more.”

They have to test it in full, since the devs didn't.
This will take a lot of time.
bullshit. Sony is still pissed off at them for releasing it at all and offering refunds. Don't expect Sony to change stance on this. I wouldn't be suprised if SCEE is going to challenge the court decision that blocked them from disallowing whatever game they wanted to no be released in Europe. This would be ammo for their argument to have full control over what is and isn't released.

I can see it as retaliation but I don't think they're gonna go down this path much longer, it's not good for business.
I totally agree they still didn't greenlight it as a punishment (and to avoid additional drama), but that's a dangerous game to play in the eyes of all other partners.

I expect the game to come out once the next-gen patch will go out. If that'll ever happen, of course.

I don't care what's the real reason behind the Sony decision but they did right. I seen a walkthrough on pc in a famous YouTube channel in my country and this game is still in an embarrassing state. The two guys of the channel seem devastated from the laugh and it's practically a parody walkthrough. I don't know how CDpr can fix this disaster.

All I see is The Witcher 4 timed exclusive for a year on xbox.

You can't afford not to bend over for the market leader that sells the biggest chunk of multiplats, CDPR needs money.

Fuck CD Project Red. Fuck Cyberpunk 2077 and Fuck the delusional sheep that bought into the hype. So happy I stayed away from this trash, saw it miles away. What a fucking embarrassment of a company they have become.

Will play it when it's for free on PS Plus.

That refund drama is what is holding things up for Cyberpunk. If not for that the game would have already been back on playstation. The issue I can see for Sony is at what point do they view this game as something they don't need to refund but considering bugs and cdprojekt red goes together this may take awhile. I really hope this makes them pause to think about what state the witcher 4 will be released.

I have more too:

I wonder why Sony's 'quality control' applies to one but not the other 🤔

Yup it had glitches on release, and got its deserved negativity but it was just like most games.

The CyberPunk 2077 is still in a worst situation than a day one Days Gone after 6+ months of patches. It's not even comparable!

CyberPunk 2077 is the worst game ever released. It is beyond broken with its laughable traffic and cheap police design. Glitches are only part of the problem for this overhyped crap.

I'm pretty sure Sony will be happy to approve it. But they won't do it unless they properly fix the game.

We talking about days gone release?

Days Gone had a some bugs and glitches at launch, like basically any other big ass open world game. Most of them were fixed pretty fast after launch or with the day one patch. But at launch it was a good, fun, that even if had some small performance issues in a few specific spots of the game it looked great on a base PS4 and was perfectly playable. Compared to what Cyberpunk is today in a base PS4, Days Gone was the best game ever in gaming history.

This game is literally an insult to gaming and gamers, worst of the worst and should always be remembered as the worst example of greed and misleading marketing.
The game should’ve been canceled on current gen consoles. The moment I saw the minimum requirements were similar to that of a X1X/PS4 Pro I knew the games scope was getting out of hand but CDPR decided to say fuck it and sell it anyway.

Can you find bugs for every game that's ever released? Yes.

Are the number of bugs in some games worse than others? Yes.

Is there a high profile game in recent memory that has been worse than Cyberpunk 2077 in terms of bugs? No.

You can stop being a disingenuous fuck now.
Eh, Anthem and Fallout 76 come to mind. Neither got removed from PSN either.

No need to get salty, mate. Glitches and bugs exist in nearly every game.

But CDPR took it to a whole another level with CP2077 due to their greed.
Not really salty, just amazed at the double standards of some people.
Lets all jump on the hate bandwagon for CP2077, but Its ok when sony does it
