I like the look of the game, will definitely give it a shot. Hopefully I can get Monster Hunter Rise done before then.

True, but they try to make us care, monster hunter 4 was decent in that regard.
Oh don't get me wrong, as an absolute monster\creatures lover i enjoy every cinematic or cutscene in MH, but this one looks a bit too much dweeb\manga and i like the realistic style of worlds far more, i don't care for a rathalos puppy story...

And still no fucking gameplay whatsoever...

Do you mean just the trailers?

They have gone pretty indepeth with the battle system explanations at least, still very little details on the open field exploration or nests, I'm just going to assume its like the first game.

Never saw this trailer.

Wait, it is turn based?

I like turn based combat but not in monster hunter game, hype completely deflated.

Yeah stories was a full turn based JRPG for the 3DS (and now mobile). Honestly its one of the most fun ones I played in a long time. Its essentially pokemon with Monster Hunter Monsters and the trainer dousent sit back either and engages in combat.

Its not everyone's cup of tea but for a 3DS title it was pretty amazing, I was sad that it didn't sell that well so am very happy to get a sequel... I mean if you want a none turn based Monster Hunter Rise came out like last month.

Did you not play the first one? The second is the same. It's Pokemon with Monster Hunter monsteers. You explore an open world so you can capture/battle/breed monsters. I spent dozens of hours breeding the perfect Zinogre in the first one. You get to fuck with DNA to get them abilities.

No never played the first one.

That bit about breeding remind me of the nightmare that was breeding a fucking gold chocobo in ff7 :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

So if this one is like pokemon, i guess that it's gonna have a larger number of monster compared to a classic MH, right?!

The origenal had 49 if I remember, maybe a few more via updates. However compared to Pokemon these where extremely well animated, even beyond the level of the likes of Pokemon Collisiuem.

Shows off the animations and monsters available, you also still craft armour and weapons for your Rider using parts gained from battling monsters.
