Experience the events leading up to the decisive, final battle for the fate of mankind in the war against the machines. Terminator: Resistance is a first-person shooter, set during the ‘Future War’ scenario that was only glimpsed at in the iconic films, ‘The Terminator’ and ‘T2: Judgment Day’. Plus, enjoy a variety of enhancements for the PlayStation®5, including improved framerates and graphical fidelity, faster load times, and the new hardware features of the DualSense controller.

important info for PS4 owners of Terminator: Resistance - it is possible that the free PS4 to PS5 upgrade of TERMINATOR: RESISTANCE ENHANCED could arrive later than planned, and may not be available for the release of the title on PS5.

Seems a bit strange that the don't have a date for a nextgen update.
But on the other hand neither Witcher 3's update has a date.

This will definitely be a buy for me and the only reason I didn't get it for PS4 was the 30fps. I can't stand fps games that has less than 60fps.

The only improvement I can see (aside the Dual Sense) are the loading times. I got like 2 seconds initial loading time on my PC, when it came out, and Playstation 5 loads it in ~1 second. Not bad.

So is this actually, you know... good?

It doesn't look too good based off that video.
it’s some weird cult like status.
Supposed to be really fun for fans of the movies!

i still want to give this game a go one day

Hopefully the May PS+ free game rumor turns out to be true.
That was my guess as well. Since Sony gave us Control UE, they may drop some decent PS5 stuff. To be honest, Control UE was the only PS+ game on PS5 I played so far. Tried Maneater but dropped it like 2hours in the game. Same goes for Bugsnax.

It's basically a cheap Borderlands (central hub + interconnected areas). Graphics are fine (Terminators are VERY detailed) and gameplay is fun. I enjoyed it.

My only complain is that the game is way too easy, even on the highest difficulty.

Looks shite to me. I’ve only ever enjoyed one Terminator game and that was Future Shock in the 90’s - Bethesda if I remember rightly.

I thought this bombed on last gen. Would give it another go if it's on ps plus. Video didnt seem that different to what I played on ps4 tbh

Is the game any good? I got it for super cheap on one of those PC Keys sites and just installed it and never booted it up

Between Nier and Returnal I might need a silly shooter to play lol

It's a flawed game but it's a great Terminator experience. If you like the first two films and have even a passing interest in the game you owe it to yourself to give it a shot. I was really pleasantly surprised. They nailed the terminators and there are some tense sections up there with alien isolation.

The M16 in that looks like a straight rip from one of the MW titles on the 360/PS3.

I think this game runs at 900p on all Xboxes. Considering it came out in 2019, two years after the One X hit the market, that's pretty lazy of the developers.
However, it occurs to me that this game would be an excellent opportunity to test out AMD's Super Resolution functionality on Series X (PS5, too, but it doesn't need it since it's getting a custom enhancement).

If you like/love the Terminator series, it is great. Really nails the feeling of living in a world post Judgment Day. The sound effects and Terminator models really immerse you in the world.

The gunplay is a bit janky and the graphics are meh, but it wasn't hard to look past that and enjoy the experience as the gameplay is fun for the most part.

And this may sway you one way or another, but you somewhat randomly get to have sex, twice!

Jank game. Best thing to happen to the Terminator franchise since T2. Short platinum unless you don't know that no hope trophy requirement.

Would recommend to a fan of the series. Short enough game, and would platinum the ps5 version should it have separate trophies

This game confuses me. It doesn't look great visually and the movement seems junky... but there's a reason it is getting an upgrade, I just don't know what it is

So i think ps5 only becouse they don't have the money

I couldn't get past the Steven Seagal running arms animation, almost tears in my eyes from laughing.

Why do they go with walking style simulators and lite RPG cutscenes in these sorts of games? Is it content filler or do they think they're upping the tension or atmosphere/immersion? It's boring to play after 2 mins of that. The premise of the game and PS increased loading times look good but that gameplay sure doesn't.

They'll censor this of of it's partial nudity during a one minute long sex scene, but TLOU2 can keep it's nudity?
No thanks, I don't support censorship, self or other wise.

Haven't actually seen this game before; I made it about 8 mins into the video before all interest was killed. The "run for 15 seconds to enter another cutscene" rinse and repeat was doing my head in too much, let alone the super stiff movement.

Once the game gets going it's pretty good. You get some decent sized open areas populated with terminators who you are unable to kill unless you have a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range of course. You have to sneak around and complete your objectives while they patrol. It's nothing groundbreaking in the slightest but the fact that it's terminators and the scenery from the future war makes it really atmospheric. Great sound track too. It's basically the future war film I wanted to see after seeing T2 when I was about 10.

There's a good mix between horror and action, just like the first couple of films.

4 hours in, really enjoying it so far. Its pure fanservice while also expanding on the lore (i.e. skynet's experimentation of human subjects in their camps)

They really nailed this for a low budget game.

As for ps5, the trigger feels good & the load times are stupid fast.
