Almost 80k people have signed a petition demanding Sony 'approves' Days Gone 2

All they need is another 5.92m signups and they should start to get in that range where Sony would think a second game would surely need to happen.

I doubt Sony will change their mind because 80k people have poor taste.
Have poor taste bet you never played the game

Theres never been any zombie game like this ( dropping insane amount of horde at once )

80K people doesnt mean theres only 80K people buying the game

Not many people visit that website

The first game was quite a commercial succes so i dont understand why Jim Ryan axed the sequel

10.000.000 already showed poor taste while buying and hyping "Horizon Zero Dawn" which was a boring festival 30 minutes into the game on highest difficulty.

Same goes for the almost 10.000.000 copies of Breath of the Wild. People love bad Zelda games. It felt good at first but died due to shitty copy & pase content but people seem to love shitty weapon breaking systems out of the early gaming times. The people just love it thanks to the "Physics" that makes them waste useless time on stupid things.

I guess we have around 10.000.000 people with poor taste and 80.000 people with actual good taste in videogames

Yes

Yes. Demanding a game to be made is pathetic behaviour. Like a toddler demanding a new toy. Sorry you can't see that but whatever.
Days Gone 2 was already planned but for some unknown reason Jim Ryan axed the project notice the difference

I enjoyed Days Gone a lot more than those two games.
That just makes you an outlier considering the review scores and overall sales of each game. Hell I don't like Zelda much but even I can admit when a game is objectively loved and adored by millions vs a game which was good for my taste but overall mediocre. Days Gone 2 will only happen if there's a great pitch, I think even Sony now realises that they cannot make only generic open-world games this generation anymore.

Just saying that Zelda, aside from the Physics was just a bad zelda game and an average open world game. But people love stuff like this.

Days Gone kept me entertained from start to beginning on "Survival" mode.

It did what it did way better than "Horizon Zero Dawn" for example which i could hardly finish on higher diffculties due to how boring it was

Hell its even better than the fallout 4 crap and even they solud around 9 million to 10 million copies. I quit Fallout 4 after a few hours because it couldnt impress me and it was boring as fuck.

That are literally three examples about games that sold around 10.000.000 that just shows that most people seem to have a really bad taste in gaming or they just love boring games.

Now let me ask you

Do you find satisfaction in humiliating people speaking up for game they like
I find satisfaction in humiliating people who childishly demand a video game is made for them.

Do you agree with grown adults acting like babies demanding video games be made?

Why are you taking offense on those people making petition for Days Gone 2 ?

Just curious here

I think I've explained why already, several times. Start a petition demanding I get booted off GAF if you like.
I hope you understand theres nothing wrong for that ( petition for days gone 2)

I mean the entire sites was specifically built for that purposes

I'm sure Days Gone 2 will come out eventually. They just didn't announce their plans yet (as usual with Sony). Relax.

Almost 2 million people signed for Game Of Thrones petition and...... NOTHING.
Less than 2 million signed for Dark Souls PC

Less than 2 million signed for Red Dead Redemption 2 PC

Less than 2 million signed for GTAV PC

Less than 2 million signed for Horizon Zero Dawn PC

( Ok this is probably more than 2 million ) signed for Justice League Snyder Cut

Yet all suceed

Idiots... a forced game and without Garvin ? cmon.
The game is not that good. Certainly not sequel worthy.
It is for sure BETTER than sum of it's mostly mediocre parts... And Garvin is responsible for the "feel" part of it mostly.

I havent played a Zelda game since dabbling with a rental copy of the SNES game. But I played Zelda 1 and Link on NES a lot and pretty sure I beat them.

I never knew till the internet age of people posting opinions and game mag recaps that gamers and reviewers didn't link Adventure of Link much.

I guess I'm different. Out of those 3 games I played, I thought Link was the best game.

Hulst was the one that didn't greenlight the project, it was never planned it was just pitched and not approved. I loved the first one, pre-ordered it and liked it a lot once it came out, I would love a sequel and I even signed that petition although I don't think it'll go anywhere. I don't like the way "demanding" sounds, it just sounds so entitled but that's the world we live in these days I guess.....unfortunately.

I mean, it's a nice gesture. But I'd kinda demand that one dick of a developer get removed from the project in trade for the funding. That ain't the attitude to bring into development.

The petitions generally do jack shit, but with GoT it's also a matter of pride for HBO. You don't rewrite the final season of one of the biggest shows in history, even if it was legitimately bad and rushed.

A signature is meaningless because there is nothing at stake. This is why things like Kickstarter and GoFundMe came into existence. If you want to show that you really care about something, put your money where your mouth is. If someone goes back to those 80,000 people and say their signature will be removed unless they pay $20, I bet you that 80,000 goes down to 10,000 easy.

Or you know make a better game that people want to play and sells a ton more to validate a sequal.

Even though I believe this won't change a thing, its nice of fans showing their support of the game.

Shame seeing people downplaying the game, considering most of you ports begging almost in their daily routine. Seems like people never like or has any interest in those games at all.

Obviously the game didn't sell enough to warrant further investment. Some of you guys are so stupid.

Outside Justice League, I highly doubt the games releases you mentioned is tied to any petition lol.

I would play another one, however its not some great injustice that it got canned unless it was already in active development , doesnt sound like it was. Still id rather have a days gone 2 then another remaster of a 7 year old game

You conveniently left out the word "demanding", the whole point of my post. That's two of you who don't have a clue. 79,998 more of you somewhere...

I thought the game sucked when it came out....then about a year or so later after all the updates and fixes I gave it another shot and it became one of my favorite games in a while. I would buy a sequel in a heart beat. But the issue from many was that it had a lot of issues at launch/near launch time frame. It was not that typical polished Sony 1st party game that many have become accustomed too. It did become that after a lot of updates. I hope Sony reconsiders and green lights the sequel.

Here's a tip for the ex-Sony guy:

Make a good game and people will buy it at full price day one.

Make a crap game and people avoid it or wait for bargains.

He should know better, but he's got to put the PR hat on to put on a brave face. Many of the other Sony first party games sell way more copies. There's a reason for that, and why DG sold much less and has a 70 MC rating.

Asking, demanding, requesting etc. it doesn't matter. People want things they like and there is no harm in asking for what they want. Whether they will get it or not is a different thing. The only person you are humiliating by making posts like these is yourself. You also seem like a fanboy/console warrior as you always show up in threads to bash sony, ps, ps games or ps players in some way like how you tried to do here. So continue doing what you do and keep making a fool of yourself. Sooner or later you will be banned just like how the many other console warriors/fanboys have been.

He‘s not wrong though. I bought it around launch and am glad I did.

It’s why I will be buying Returnal at full price at launch. I want to support it.
Or you know make a better game that people want to play and sells a ton more to validate a sequal.
It was a good game. Game yournalists with an axe to grind hurt its hype and it wasn’t marketed well. Word of mouth got it the current sales, which I would guess are pretty good now.

It was a good game. PR people are liars. I’d much rather hear difficult truth than feel-good lies.

doubt petition will convince anything

in the end making game still part of bussiness. it cost money and there is risk.

rather than petition, better to support next month pc release and give good rating on metacritic. only this would convince sony higher up for sequel.

80K people have to get used to remakes and forget about intriguing new IP. 🤭
Days Gone was an average game at best and didn't really do anything new outside of buggy zombie hordes. People are delusional thinking this deserves a 2nd game IMHO.
