Hitman III |OT| I bet Agent 47 is making a Killing

Berlin club level, wow. The atmosphere and music is perfect. The only sort of negative which I'd say Dartmoor also had is that basic SA completion is so straightforward. Target routes are so simple and it makes them easy kills. Kind of plays itself if you just explore normally.

After 3 levels I think I can safely say if you're not going for the challenges this game would feel like a let down. Where are the Sapienza, Paris or Miami tier designs?

Or maybe it's partially because a lot of us have become better at playing Hitman over the last few years? I mean sure, it would be nice if Hitman 3 upped the difficulty level, but I don't think it's easier than previous games.

I haven't played 3 yet, but SASO can be pretty tough if you're not looking at guides. Even when SA can be pretty easy. The challenges are one of the reasons I much preferred the episodic release of the first one. If you're forced to, you end up spending more time doing challenges and having fun experiencing everything. At least that was the case for me. Can't imagine just playing through each level once. Would feel like such a waste.

It's not necessarily a ease of difficulty thing (although it might be a bit for me) but I guess more about the intricacy of the mission. Berlin oozes with style and has a great concept with killing bad guys in a nightclub but the execution of it is a little lackluster. 1 target at the start is a freebie, 1 on the roof is a sitting duck, and the other 3 conveniently walk past isolated areas with crates. Love the level but seeing how it unfolded was a little anticlimactic.

But maybe it's unfair to want everything to be as good as the best levels in the series. Just felt like a wasted opportunity.

Really bummed that they arent adding any levels. Going back to the older missions from Hitman 2 and 2016 I kinda feel like the Hitman 3 levels are fairly limited in scope by comparison. Not that they are bad by any stretch, just not as expansive and filled with opportunities as much as the older ones.

Someone please enlighten me...

Why the fuck story mission guide exists?

I get why officially, those mission stories are at times pretty tricky to figure out so u need to replay level many times n learn inner logic of the game systems, learn how to follow the clues to do that... BUT ISN'T IT THE WHOLE IDEA OF THIS DAMN GAME?

It is like adding easy mode to Dark Souls.

Like they made this monumental achievement of a game that everyone should scream everywhere about n then turned on autoplay by default.

Why are you trying to hide from people you made the best stealth game of the past generation IOI... just why?

They added it to give a more guided and focused experience to those who may have no history with a Hitman game. It helps show them how the systems of the game work and also pushes beginners in the right direction. You can turn it off. Why are more options a bad thing?

HITMAN 3 RESOLVED ISSUES (Year 2 Patch: 3.100)

PS5hhhhhhhh
We’ve resolved an issue where audio could abruptly cut out or become muted during gameplay. This issue was especially prominent on PlayStation 5.

Xbox Access
We’ve resolved an issue where some Xbox players could intermittently lose access to content. After an investigation, we’ve identified that players who owned a lot of different Hitman content on the same console were most likely to be affected.

Improved Stability
We’ve made back-end changes to ensure a smoother online experience and reduce the number of ‘disconnection’ issues encountered by players.

Epic Achievements
We’ve added support for Epic Achievements and Avatars. More details can be found on the Epic Games Blog.

Windows PC Support
In addition to Epic Games Store and Steam, HITMAN 3 and HITMAN Trilogy are now available on Windows PC (Microsoft). Players on this platform (including PC Game Pass players) will have access to their existing HITMAN 3 progression that was earned playing HITMAN 3 on any Xbox console. That progression will also be synchronised between Xbox consoles and the Windows PC (Microsoft) versions of the game. Also, any Contracts created on this PC platform will be shared with Xbox console players and vice versa. These features are possible because Xbox Live is the central service that brings the two platforms together.

Shoulder Swap Controller
We’ve implemented a permanent fix for the ‘Shoulder Swap’ option, so that it’s now available when playing in Offline Mode with a controller.

Target Down Dialogue
We’ve implemented richer NPC dialogue that triggers when certain NPCs discover a target or VIP has been pacified, eliminated, or otherwise hurt. They will refer to them by name in several ways, such as when reporting their knowledge to a guard.

Lens Flare Reduction
We’ve resolved a handful of issues that could result in an excessively strong lens flare when certain light sources met reflective surfaces.

2 Easy 2 Silent
We’ve tweaked the unlock conditions for the ‘Silent Assassin’ trophy so that it unlocks more consistently according to the requirements.

Challenge Display
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause the menu UI to incorrectly display the mission that a challenge could be completed on. Now, the game will be more accurate when displaying what mission is best suited to complete a given challenge.

Glass Smash
We’ve resolved an issue where several glass panes were missing SFX when being smashed.

HUD Flash
We’ve resolved an issue where some HUD icons and messages would repeatedly flash during gameplay, depending on specific player actions.

We Use This To Fix
We’ve resolved an issue where the Versatile Assassin challenge on ‘The Author’ (H1 Patient Zero campaign mission) did not unlock, despite completing all the requirements. To ensure that the challenges are completed and tracked accurately, we recommend players complete all objectives and end the mission.

Dubai: Deadly Elevator
We’ve resolved an issue where NPCs that were attacked and thrown down an elevator shaft in Dubai would be pacified rather than killed. Now, only death awaits.

Dartmoor: Outdoors, Indoors
We’ve resolved an issue where 47 could see through a specific wall from outside the mansion in Dartmoor.

Chongqing: You’re Dead to Me
We’ve made changes to several areas in the Chongqing, so that any NPCs that find themselves outside of the playable area are classified as ‘killed’ and the bodies are ‘hidden’.

Chongqing: Table, No Table
We’ve tweaked the properties of an ‘invisible table’ in the Gluttony Gobble Escalation. Basically, it’s gone.

Mendoza: No Soup For You
We’ve resolved an issue where Agent 47 would be unable to move without being spotted, when starting as the Asado Chef.

Mendoza: Overly Persistent Prompt
We’ve removed a ‘prompt’ icon from near one of the persistent shortcuts in Mendoza.

Mendoza: Rich Harvest
We’ve made the Rich Harvest trophy/achievement slightly easier to unlock by not requiring the completion of a ‘hidden’ mission story on Mendoza. This should remove confusion amongst players who appeared to have fulfilled the requirements but did not receive the trophy/achievement.

Mendoza: Diana Dialogue
We’ve resolved an issue that could cause Diana’s dialogue not to trigger at the start of the Mendoza campaign mission.

Bangkok: Unusual Identity
We’ve resolved several issues where NPC names and images did not match up with the actual NPC in Bangkok.

Credit Where It’s Due, 3.100
We’ve updated the in-game credits where needed to reflect work done since the last patch, including new members of the team that have joined.

So I came back to Hitman after more than 5 years (played 47 when it came out, then the X360 game). Did the Paris mission in a super messy way, killed a few guys, dropped the chandelier on Victor. Incredible attention to detail and great game, I guess I will continue with it over the next year.

Is the trilogy edition online only? Can’t find it boxed.

Players can also go head to head with: The Twin, The Politician and The Black Hat in The Illusory Elusive Target Arcade. Be mindful of who you pacify because in this batch – pacifications are limited.
When you complete one of the two new Arcades you’ll unlock: The Neon Ninja Suit. September 8 Featured Contracts: Visit Ambrose

It’s time to go island hopping in this upcoming batch of Featured Contracts. The theme is Visit Ambrose, and takes players back to the newest location in HITMAN 3. Visit Ambrose can be a tricky theme if you don’t want to use the new location. But that being said, if you can find a sneaky way to frame it around Visit Ambrose without use of the location – it still counts.
How to get your Contract Featured: It can be based on a super creative briefing, a cool idea or just a plain fun contract. But bear in mind: They have to be inspired by the theme Visit Ambrose to be taken into consideration.
Up for a challenge? Click the link hitmanforum and get your submission in before Monday September 5.

Nvidia announced today that Hitman 3(opens in new tab) and Marvel's Midnight Suns(opens in new tab) are getting some extra frame rate-boosting love in the form of DLSS 3 support on January 26th for systems equipped with RTX 40-series graphics cards. The timing works out because both games have some pretty neat DLC launching on the same day.
