It Takes Two | Review Thread

This looks like a decent little co-op experience. Reviews are looking great. This kind of came out of nowhere for me, I don't even think I've ever seen a trailer for this game.

Game looks interesting, but not really my cup of tea. I'm more interested in how many people will try to claim the $1,000 the dev so boldly offered to anyone who becomes bored with the game. :pie_thinking:

We got our review copy today, played it for 5 to 6 hours so far with one of my staff members. So far an incredible experience. Very surprised at how good and creative the game is. While the story is nothing too crazy, the voice acting and the cheeky humor is fantastic. Music is really fitting as well. It reminds me of a old-school pixar short CG films but in a video game format. One of the best co-op games I've played in a very long time. Say what you want about EA but EA Originals and Hazelight is sure kicking ass with this specific game.

We are playing it on the PS5.

I just bought this based on the reviews.

The trailer sold me last year, but I was going to wait for EA Access.

Now to wait for it to download on both the Series X so we can play.

Hopefully we aren't fighting and divorced by morning like Overcooked almost did.

Great game. Me and my friend played about 4 hours so far and enjoying it a lot. We enjoyed A Way Out too so we knew this game was gonna be great.

Here is a picture that says it all.

How have you solved the storage problem? It’s worse on PS5 of course, can’t see myself buy a PS5 until they increase the SSD size or solve it with external storage somehow. But even on XSX it’s a problem. I think I’m at about 150 games total but I had still filled up my internal 1TB and 1TB expansion card the first night. After that I was ”Now what?”. I wish they had like 3TB expansion cards. It’s a constant struggle to decide if a game is important enough to sit on the new storage to get faster loading.

I realize you’re not asking me but
I bought a 5TB external HDD for cold storage for now.
I, too, would purchase a 3TB expansion card, given the chance.

It's a Xbox One X with 1TB internal, In addition to that I have 2x4TB and 1X5TB usb harddrives connected - as I use eneloops I never use the front USB port so I also hooked a Harddrive to it and solved all the storage problems.

Yeah I don’t care what they cost, I just don’t want to juggle game installs, it’s annoying. They could’ve at least had the expansion slot on the front so I could easier swap between different cards. Sort games by genre on different cards or something. It’s made for that, you can hot swap them, and it would work okay enough. But they hid the slot on the back as if nobody would use it. Odd.

Anyone else playing on series X and Hdr not kicking in?

I thought maybe I bumped something on the TV but all other games HDR activates. I may have to Uninstaller and reinstall.

This game is great and a massive step up from A Way Out. I only wish the split screen view was optional and for sections where you need it, was split Top/Bottom instead of Left/Right

Friend Pass not working on Steam.

Downloaded it. started it. Origin starts and tells me I have to activate product code for "unidentifed game" --> theres no code.
Also theres no FAQ or help section giving answers how to fix this.

Why can't EA/Origin just finally take that gun into its mouth and pull that fucking trigger.

Ok, didn't expect this, but this shit is seriously impressive.

Not only are the production values through the roof, but the gameplay is brilliant with a breakneck pace and there's so much of it.

Didn't know a game like this is even possible in the current gaming climate. This is a goddam classic already

GF and I only beat the first boss last night,
the vacuum
and it already so frantic, I can’t imagine how much more it can get.

Great game, I just wish we could disappear the split screen when playing on different systems.(Though it did help with some of the teamwork to see what your partner was doing)

I'm more of a single player person for the most part. This was always on my radar. If I play this, I'd like to be able to play with the same person and not someone picking up where the other player in co-op left off...since I'd have to search for someone online to play with. Maybe it doesn't matter but I'm curious on that part.

You can make your room private and only play with that one person you want to play with.

You just can’t play it without them.

I don’t get it?
He promotes idea that married couples with children that are in crisis should first try and reconcile their problems before getting divorced. For the sake of children. You know, just being normal and reasonable. But that’s a big NO for modern leftists that want to nuke nuclear family. Just hear screeching from Reeee and Eurogamer. Sick, miserable people.

People are complaining about this game?

Finished the game. They just beat Nintendo in their own game, sorry but there's no way something more impressive is gonna come out any time soon, not even Elden Ring i reckon.

This is absolutely going down in gaming history as one of the best games ever made imho.

The fact that hardly anybody's talking about it just shows how backwards everything in the gaming industry is.

Wife and I have sunk a bunch of time into this game. This is literally one of the best games I've ever played and we are having a blast. Its great time spent for our relationship as well. Cannot recommend it emphatically enough

Serious question: Do you think the game is appropriate for kids? Or are the themes a bit too mature? I know it tackles stuff like divorce, bad relationships, etc.
