I am sure there will be one day . But Unless he mentioned a timeframe as to when we see them or specifically named a specific IP impacted then I think he is blowing smoke to appease the masses. I don't think MS is going to waste the time and resources Bethesda has already spent on any existing development ( which is far along) . They will want to recoup that cost. Thats why I think any true exclusivity is years off.

Anyone with a bit of a head would understand that going to pay for the penalties of already signed contracts would not be worth it especially when it comes only to times exclusives like Deathloop and Tokyo w. The same goes for games so advanced in development that trashing Bethesda's money and work would be a waste and insult to newly acquired developers. In the period of the e3 I'm sure they will already talk about some exclusive. Count on it

Everyone already knows games like Deathloop and Ghostwire aren't exclusive. The fact that we all know that and Microsoft is still being vague means there are more games that won't be exclusive either. They could've said "all games past this year will be exclusive" or one of many other ways they could've written that press release. The Xbox fans are just making excuses right now because they are hoping they're right about the big games only being on their platform. For months it's been "Just wait until they own them then they'll clarify." Now it's "Just wait for them to talk about any game that hasn't been announced for PS5, then you'll see." It's quite laughable.

They are obviously a lot less reliant on gaming than their competitors, but I think the point you're missing is that a lot of money has been invested into the Xbox division and shareholders demand a return now, and now there's another $7.5bn hole to cover - why do you think wanted to double Live costs?

You'd need an angry mob for that. Exclusivity will never cause that kind of a stir outside the group that is being blocked from the content. Xbots get all the content, that's a given.

You may have a few really fringe people that attain some kind of great joy from something being only available on one platform, but outside that the masses don't care much. As a business tactic, I would have dropped the hammer and really tried to maximize things, but it looks like MS is trying to safeguard Bethesda numbers, which is fine too. Maybe that is best for GP in the short-term as they build that stream up.

They only said "some" as some are obligated by contract, they can't say all. 99.9% chance that all the best new games from Zenimax that aren't already committed, are coming exclusively to the Xbox and PC only. Wasn't the platforms unified for awhile now even before this gen started ?, I still don't think even with pc+Xbox numbers so far equal ps total users ... Steam is it's own beast and are the benchmark but completely unrelated to ms and should be the target for any company wanting to dominate the pc market .

If Starfield ends up being on PlayStation 5, im done with Microsoft and Xbox because Phil Spencer never puts his fan base first, front and center. We still have XGS games that already released on PC and are not going to release on XB or are releasing way later on the XB.
I thought XB was MS's dedicated gaming platform. Absolutely ridiculous that MS treats XB customers like 2nd rate clients.
Free XBL for PC gamers while XB gamers subsidize it for them by paying $60 a year.
Less XGS games releasing on XB than PC.
It just seems like MS will always treat their XB customers like 2nd rate clients.
Now PS5 and PC will get even more XGS timed exclusives while XB MS's 2nd rate clients have to wait a year for them.
