I thought the same. Works for DFFOO since makes people happy and at the same time makes people pull more overall. The free pull makes more money for Square.
Not sure it would work for GI though, the mechanism around the gambling is different. They'd need some sort of redesign of the pulling and pity system.
In any case, with content so slow and gacha resources so thin and rare, they need to throw a bone every now and then or risk losing players very quickly. Wasn't there a chart that showed pulls have more than halved since Klee?

Wouldn't surprise me if it has. I haven't really been playing since I'm waiting for Rosaria. I'm sure others are waiting for some of the other datamined characters. And content each patch is steamrolled through rather easily. It takes you like a day to get through everything each patch. Sometimes really only an hour or 2. All they reall have is dailies and Abyss which I little incentive to go into since it forces multiple team comps and only resets the hardest content instead of all floors.

I find funny how every patch they go like "Please, play at abysm challenge" at the event page, when monsters there are changed so they don't match their level and have different attack effects. I remember a member saying "just go overleved and beat all", which actually is true and tells me how they didn't really put any though on those challenges. I'm still trying to get 9 stars at the 8/7 level, but it seems that the challenge wants me to "explode" dealing 999999 of damage in all enemies so I can get at time. Ain't got time for this shit.

So Hu Tao banner is on March 2nd, with Xingqiu/Xianglign/Chonyun. They really like putting Xingqiu on banners lately, I feel like he's always there, ruining your 4* joy. I was really hoping we'd see a Lisa/Amber/Kaeya 4* list this time, but no dice.
This game needs more than a new 5* character every 2 weeks, I hope they have some content planned soon. I'm hoping Chasm is 1.4, but I guess we'll see.

Yeah, but when she released how you gonna level up her without playing and farming some resources in advance? Event rewards are nowhere near enough for leveling even one character. For now I'm just finishing leveling Mona(all is left is a water boss items) and after that I'm gonna go and farm different talent books for quite some time. Oh, and I also have a lot of fragile resins to burn through during the artifacts runs. I'm busy like a freaking bee xD

The game gave me Xingqiu when I was risking the weapon banner for sacrificial greatsword. Ironically, Xiao banner gave me the greatsword in my first attempt after that.
I think the problem is that they aint repeating the 5 star exclusive banners. They should do that.

Not only does the game lack content, the way the devs release stuff during an update period is really unbalanced. The last 2 weeks of this 1.3 update look super dry in terms of content, even worse than 1.2. We still have the geovishap hunting thing, but I think that's it. Maybe they have something to surprise us, but I'm not counting on it.

At this point, after all the banners he has been on, I think I have a 17 constellation Xinqiu (water boy). I would take almost (not you Diona) anyone else on the banner.

[People asking for 2 new heroes every two weeks while I'm barely leveled up 2 and don't have a single 4x artifact set with Crits]

I hope to god I'm not just buying into the hype, but I'm starting to think that Hu Tao is the perfect compliment to Childe for my main team. They both appear as selfish DPS on the surface, but Hu Tao actually has a surprisingly nice synergy with Childe. Start the fight out as her, pop her skill to lose HP and imbue fire/plant fire seeds on enemies. Fight until you can pop your Burst, heal up, swap out to Childe, hit his Burst, huge Vaporize proc to any enemies in a large AoE. Also, after her fire imbue ends, the whole party (except her) gets a crit % buff. Sounds perfect for Childe to come in for cleanup duty.
The only thing I don't really like about it is that it basically relegates him to backup DPS status. We'll see how fun she is to play in the trial I guess, but I might actually go for her.

What's up with all the Liyue characters when literally everyone's been given the chance to get one for free just a few days ago? Doesn't make much sense to me.
I'm considering getting some Blackcliff weapons. I could give the sword to Keqing and the catalyst to Klee. Not sure if that's better than what I got though. These resources are kinda limited so I don't want to waste them.

Generally speaking Widsith (gacha 4*) is the most accessible best book for Klee, especially if you have a few refines on it. Keqing's best non 5* is the BP sword. Otherwise I think it's that one that increases damage against enemies with Pyro or Electro gacha sword. If you don't have any of those, Blackcliff might be good for you.
I'm eyeing the bow for Amber, since weak spot shots always crit, it could give her a nice boost in damage.

I don't have Widsith or Lion's Roar unfortunately. For Klee I'm currently using Eye of Perception with 1 refinement. Keqing has Prototype Rancour with 1 refinement. I have not been lucky when it comes to gacha weapons. I'm entirely F2P as well, so no BP weapons and I don't really want to use my limited resources on the weapon banner.
The Blackcliff weapons seem like a decent choice, and if I get something better down the line I can always give them to new characters. It's just that I don't know if my damage will actually improve with these weapons on those two characters.

Mihoyo went ahead and changed Rosaria artwork to look like she does after the nerf. Honestly i'm not sure why companies does this type of decision, i'm a woman and Rosaria chest never bothered me. Unfortunately this means that we will be stick with the same generic loli, teenager and tall women character models.

No one was bothered by it. We still don't know why or how it's all happened. Some say it's self censorship, some say that it was a regulatory decision from Chinese govt, some insist on GI engine being shit, some say that MiHo is just lazy and don't want to bother with modeling new body type. I have no idea what's true, but I know for a fact that I'm not bothering with her. 4☆ for life and I ain't gotta time for her.
