Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Trailer

Ok I was loving the trailer, until that fucking guy at the very end. He looked VERY Nomura in design, which has me worried. I really don't want them going down the wrong path. They finally got the look and feel of FFVII right with FFVII:R. Please don't fucking ruin it with overly edgy, overly designed characters like that.

(Yes I know he's a character from Dirge of Cerberus. That really doesn't make it any better.)

WEISS from DoC? LOL at "REMAKE", they really make a sequel with all compilation bullshit.
I hope WEISS can turn become OMEGA weapon cause why just stop with the human form only.

I mean sure, since he's just a secret boss they should go all the way.

This is great! New combat additions make me really hyped for the potential teamwork attacks in Part 2!

The GOAT Nomura feeding us good, man. ❤️

Very excited, 60 FPS is something that is dearly needed. Game felt way below 30fps for me on ps4 pro. Give me all the secret bosses, also looking forward to the yuffie episode, give her some more character development rather than just being found in a forest.

All three of Square's most recent mainline FFs (XIII, XV, VIIR) have been disasters, and arguably each has been a bigger disaster than the last. VIIR might be a better game on its own merits than XIII or XV, but when you consider that it could have been one of the best games of all time if all they'd done was leave the original fucking story the hell alone. . .
Oh here I was thinking I was on crazy pills because I always find everyone (including back at the other forum) dunking on me for daring to question its quality. Nice.

It's still baffling to me that some of the best scenes in the game are optional to make way for more Leslie nonsense and Not Noctis adventures.

"lol you guys wanted that Tifa chapter? Surprise it's all Yuffies" And I won't even get into how the re-framing of Wutai makes no sense in this version.

But like I said, Normal mode allowing me to not "SMASH THE SQUARE BUTTON" even if it's just auto attacking like Xenoblade titles will make me feel better, because imo FF7R is just a dumbed down Xenoblade system of cooldown mechanics with Tales of Positionals, made to look better with shiny particle effects versus real depth, including but not limited to gimping your materia levelling and limiting your "all" materia options. -___-

Looks nice, kind of irked that the Yuffie dlc is PS5 only. I honestly hope they do something in that dlc that makes it something problematic for the PS4/PS4 Pro to handle.

But I have to wonder if they are going the FFXV route with dlc, wondering if each future character will get their own chapter dlc (Vincent, Cid, etc) and honestly since they are in the habit of adding new characters, we will probably get more party members, like that guy with Yuffie(I can’t be the only one bummed that Biggs, Wedge and Jessie weren’t playable)

YYEEEEESSSSSSSS

I love video games so fucking much.
Yuffie looks absolutely perfect and the upgrade looks great.

People say Square is milking FF77
BUT THEY ARE WRONG.
Square is milking ME, specifically. And I LOVE the SUCC.

FF77? Yeah I’d call it milking the franchise dry and only thing coming out is bits of powder and the faint last, whimpering of a fan base if it reaches FF77.

It already is. The graphical quality and models can't be done on the PS4. Go look at some of the high quality media they released. Plus I'm sure this is not going to be streaming limited as was the ps4 version. Will feature much more open areas, etc.

Graphical quality can always change before the actual game/dlc launches but I hope it keeps that quality and I would love bigger areas and maybe we will get a glimpse or/and a limited playable area of the world outside of Midgar.

not suprise if the Yuffie DLC is exclusive to PS5 is due to the devs effort in process of learning or get familiarize of the new console architecture. lets hope the knowhow they learn during developing this episode will benefit next part with bigger scope.

Kitase talked about this a good while ago. They aimed to release stuff in between the wait period of installments. I don't think they will release another Character DLC till after the 2nd game since the mobile games take up the other content.

About the Nomura thing, it's not that drastic of a change. It's pretty much the same role he has on Kingdom Hearts games where he's only involved in the design, scenario and other creative portions. Otherwise he is approving or rejecting Director/Co-Director proposals. It's also no different from what they were doing with the first FFVII compilation.

also i believe in that team for senior staff especially like nomura, kitase and toriyama, the position name they hold might be just a name. each of them surely has their own influence. for example kitase role is just only a producer but he actively involved in creating level design. from what i see, what happened there merely they promoting younger talent (hamauguchi) which is in long term prospect, good decision.

not to mention the team already has 2 co-director. this might be also improve the team structure where before they has 1 director with 2 co-director, now it been 'fixed' by having 1 director, 1 creative director and 1 co-director.

Yeah agreed. Plus Hamaguchi was basically the Game Design Director and Manager in the first place, so it makes sense to promote him given he was already handling the day-to-day stuff like Tai Yasue does for KH.

Does the retail PS5 version include the Yuffie episode? They weren't very clear on that.

Can I play the new episode featuring Yuffie on PlayStation 5 without purchasing Final Fantasy VII Remake or Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade?

The new episode featuring Yuffie can only be played by either purchasing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on PlayStation 5, or by purchasing it separately after completing the free PlayStation 5 enhancement upgrade.

Free upgrade is awesome!
I've been waiting for replaying the game on hard with 60 fps.

Yuffie's design is great, but those Dirge of Cerberus bad designed shitty characters don't excite me at all. (Genesis will be added..)

Also we are going to have to wait for FF7R Part 2 for a long time.

I guess Yuffie DLC will be a test-ground for SE with PS5. Probably checking how well the assets can scale on new gen since it's still in Midgar, her companion looks like Cid-beta (animation could be re-used for Cid). I like the idea - they need to see what works and what not. I hope the level design would be better now without retarded squeez-through.

Also - still waiting for 4k trailer to see on TV but I think Yuffie DLC looks better than FF7R PS5 version - some effects like smoke looks way better in that DLC. Just hope PART 2 will come in 2022.

Funnily enough, they already incorporated some of the things they were planning to for the sequel that they mentioned in the Ultimania. The team attacks were one of them.

I don't expect we'll see FF16 until perhaps Summer then.
Probably not till that Digital E3 Event, which makes sense as it would lead right into Gamescom & TGS.

I think 2023. XVI will likely be 2022 and I don't think they'd release two "mainline" FF's the same year.

Selling fanfic and OC's Do Not Steal as DLC when they haven't even made it past the first 3 hours of the first game is definitely a Square Enix move if I've ever seen one.

At this point I've given up fighting the wave as everyone loves Remake and I think it's a piece of shit in a lot of ways (while good in others) and basically loses sight of any/all good qualities the original story had. But at least the textures won't look like ass and Classic Mode won't be relegated to baby mode this go around.
I agree and find it shocking that they put douchebike guy in the trailer, does it mean people actually liked him?? I thought he was ridiculous, completely unnecessary other then being filler and killed the already weak plot.

And now we have Silver the hedgehog on top of it and people seem excited?

Oh you are right... Damn, such a long break between parts. I still can't believe that next mainline FF is so close...

They probably want FF16 to hit 2021 Fiscal Year and FFVIIR-2 for next. It would line up for FF7R-2 since it's been in development since sometime in 2019 and that's a decent 3-4 year gap.

It would be glorious if we could get FF16 in 2021 and FF7R-2 in 2022.

Did they give some additional information about the new difficulty mode (classic normal)? The real-time battle mode never really clicked for me.
