Fire Emblem Heroes CYL5 Voting Results

Are there any people here who play FEH other than me? If so, the CYL5 results just came out about 2 hours ago, and here they are:

Against all odds, the 3H Gatekeeper managed to get the 2nd highest CYL vote tally ever (just shy of Edelgard's 74k votes last year), which means he'll get the so-coveted Brave PRF skill. Marth got bumped into 2nd place, which will be disappointing for those hoping he'd keep the lead we saw at the interim results. Regarding the ladies, Marianne managed to both kick F!Byleth out of the top 2 and take Eirika's 1st place from her! She'll get the other Brave PRF skill for beating all of the other contestants from the women's division.

You can check the rest of the results here, and you should really check today's FEH Channel because there's tons of amazing stuff coming starting in a few hours for the game's 4th anniversary.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Marianne and I was so happy to see Gatekeeper shithouse his way up to the top of the ballot, so I'm really enjoying these results! I can't wait to see what their Brave forms look like in August!

Gatekeeper winning and by as much as he did is insane.

I mean I like the guy as well but I didnt think he'd dominate like this.
Aye, that surprised me as well, especially considering how unpopular he was amongst the Japanese playerbase (or at least that's what I noted after the interim results came out).

Still, I think having him and Marianne vs having yet another pair of Chrom and Byleth alts will make for a very exciting Brave banner. This is the kind of stuff I love to see in this game!

The winning characters get a special form then? What does it mean that Gatekeeper shithoused his way to the top? He does look like the definition of generic so it does seem surprising from the outside.
Aye. Basically, every year they pit all Fire Emblem characters together into a website (except those who have won the competition before) where people with a Nintendo Account can vote for their favorites 7 times. Then, they give the top 2 male and female characters a "special form" which end up becoming some of the best units in the game. The fact that an NPC ended up winning against the mascot of the series (Marth, who has a history of being "robbed" of a top 2 place for years now due to the how the voting used to work) has taken the community by surprise, to put it lightly.
