King's Canyon is basically a new map at this point right? sure a few POIs are still as they were at the beginning, but damn, that map had changed so damn much it's crazy.
the new weapon is looking like fun, Fuse looks like a lot of fun... gold mags will be interesting, but I don't believe they will be that crazy. maybe if you run 2 Spitfires? lol

There's the same amount of ammo in gold mags than in purple mags, the difference is that gold mags reload automatically when holstered (though it's not instant, there's a sound that lets you know when the holstered weapon has been reloaded.Yeah purple mag with spitfire already feels like it goes on forever, especially with Rampart. That golden one is just infinite ammo.

They're starting to piss me off with having the same characters get legendary skins in the battlepass. Both Lifeline and Bangalore have had legendaries in the battlepass before. At least try to complete a full cycle before doubling up on characters. Respawn complains that some characters are under-used but maybe if they would stop giving legendary shit for the favorites then people would check out other characters. My biggest gripe with the game is that it's catered far too much to the Apex Predator tournament meta which doesn't represent how 95% of the players play. That and the SMBB which is still far too lenient; I end up in the same matches as Apex predators far too often.

Kids won't buy the BP if their top 5 pick fav gets a costume. So no Wraith, Octane, Blood Hound, Reddit Bot = No Purchase.
It is fucking garbage I know but if the BP skins were for Gibraltar, Revenant, Crypto or Rampart no one is buying. I'd like to see someone on Reddit call them out for it.

Man i always get excited at these trailers until i play the game again and realize i still suck at it... for some reason i just don't do well in this game. I can usually hold my own in most FPS games but this one feels off to me i dunno

Apex is extremely movement based, in most shooters, like Call of Duty for example, it's enough to just aim and shoot someone as soon as you see them because time to kill is so fast that hitting your target fast is the most important thing.
in Apex it is as important to know how to move, where to move and when to attack whom as it is to actually hit yout target reliably

Yeah that's probably why I enjoy it so much. I suck at the FPS part and usually lose my encounters if it's pure 1:1 and based on shooting accuracy (also why I hate teammates that want to jump into the heat of a battle from the very beginning, with no weapon, armor or available ultimate).
But I think I'm quite good at finding the best strategy when using the environment and character abilities to get the upper hand on opponents. Hence why I got much more victories with Crypto and Caustic, compared to Wraith or Bloodhound.

Having a squad that works together is a huge difference, there is massive interplay within the characters and squad dynamics too.
Really like that new trailer, the 80s take on it sells that character so well.
Also here's a little fun thing we heard about and got working after a few attempts, can confirm it works in game too.
Skip to 40s for the working version of Octane + Caustic + Pathfinder. Drop a canister, place a jump pad underneath/skew of canister and have Pathfinder grapple the barrel.

I'd fucking kill for a Halo 2 BR style scope where there is very little screen geo and zero when you zoom. I hate ADS, just blocks vision of the game. I want gameplay over guns in my face all game taking valuable screen real estate during engagements. I'd pay a full price game for that scope in Apex and every other FPS I play.

I never use any scope larger than the 2x/4x anyways. preferably I use the 3x. I can snipe better with those than with actual sniper scopes since I used the 3x enough to know the bullet drop for each weapon intuitively now.
I use the 3x because it gives you enough of a zoom to easily spot far away targets, but not too much of a zoom to make it useless in close to mid range.
the 2x/4x is a bit more versatile objectively speaking as it has 2x which is good for closer ranges and 4x which is good for far ranges. the issue for me is that I hate adjustable scopes, I want my scope to be 1 thing and always that 1 thing so I don't have to think about which setting I currently have it set to and stuff.
so the 3x is not too much not too little zoom, and it works really well with snipers/DMRs for me.
so that 3x will be my main scope for the 30-30

I'm loving it so far. It's like crack. It feels great and I love the verticality. It's exactly what my brain needs right now because I'm actually starting to crave it.
While it's new and I'm getting used to team shooters again, you can definitely tell I used to play competitively (team based, not solo) compared to the rando teammates I keep getting matched up with. Just used to more of a plan and knowing each others playstyles and such. Quite a few people have mics but I don't know why since they barely use them lol. Kinda hard to learn the lingo and callouts when no one calls anything out haha.

Just make sure you play with a headset, it makes all the difference in the world. You can hear teams moving in on you from much further away and know the direction they're coming from. Not only that but you can know exactly who they have as you will start to recognize the footsteps of each character which are pretty distinct for the most part. You can also hear stuff like traps being layed down, people healing themselves or going for the res. You will barely pick up any of all that without a headset.
