People also overhype everything Xbox so... its balanced?
Sounds like something someone who downplays anything Xbox would say. You're talking about Neogaf here? LOL

In general, NeoGaf is just one website... and how crazy it is that there are more PS players than Xbox players... WOW LOL.Sounds like something someone who downplays anything Xbox would say. You're talking about Neogaf here? LOL

Sounds like something someone who downplays anything PS would say. (It's easy, isn't it? have a good day)Link me to the site where Xbox is overhyped. I just saw a thread about this being the GOAT month for PS+ because of Control. Now that's hype!

I was waiting for the PS5 patch to buy it so that's sweet for me but of course they can't compete with From Softwares Games, I agree with you but its personal opinions.Nah, just a PS fan that thinks Dark Souls, Demon's Souls etc were much better months than a Control month. But it's just a matter of opinion so I was mostly joking hence the tongue emoji.
Maybe misterxmedia forum? IGN said that with XSS you can get a faster CPU at half the price compared to PS5?Link me to the site where Xbox is overhyped. I just saw a thread about this being the GOAT month for PS+ because of Control. Now that's hype!
Casuals?I know people who were still paying month to month for Gold at $10. Add $5 to that for Gold AND GP and it's a no-brainer. Again, casuals will pay it without batting an eye and not cancel. There are people who barely use Netflix and keep paying. Planet Fitness also uses the same formula. Make it so cheap that people don't feel like canceling. We are never going to agree, you guys give too much credit to the casual market that makes up the vast majority of console gamers. $15b in revenue and you all think most if not all people did the $1 conversion. Whatever.
Oh you're wrong,. They all have high.end PC's to go along with their Playstations. It is known. So many strange people upset about a service they have no intention of using on a machine they have no intention of buying. Why spend hours writing utter tripe about it when you have no interest in it?
Oh you're wrong,. They all have high.end PC's to go along with their Playstations. It is known.
Casuals?
They don't know what Gamepass is.
18 million is inflated and kinda low if we include all the devices it's on.Yep, 18 of the 50 million Xbox owners are HARDCORE. My ass. You're 100% right if you're talking about PS Now, even the hardcore barely know what it is.
18 million is inflated and kinda low if we include all the devices it's on.
If casuals supported it the numbers would be higher.
PSnow has nothing to do with this gamepass discussion.
It's in the wording go back a page or two and see what MS actually said.So I hear it's actually illegal to inflate those numbers because it was info that investors use. So it's more than 18 million, actually. So yeah, wrong again man. You're not having a discussion, you just troll Xbox threads and anyone who doesn't join you.
It's in the wording go back a page or two and see what MS actually said.
As I stated even 18 million is kinda low considering all the devices It's on.
You said casuals a few times but the market gp is available on is hardcore which the numbers reflect.
To actually get casuals on board they would need to have gp on the more casual friendly consoles.
18(inflated) million out of 50 million? I thought xbo sold more? You think they would be deceiving in their wording to investors? You think Xbox One isn't casual for a console? What is then? 18 out of 50 million. That's a huge percentage of "hardcore" gamers. Eh, the term casuals can come down to opinion so there is no right or wrong. My definition is console owners who don't post on forums and only buy the "big hitter" games, and/or sports games. So what is considered a casual console to you?
$1 divided by 36 months. It’s less but I rounded up.
how or where are they inflating gamepass numbers?18(inflated) million out of 50 million? I thought xbo sold more?
We also have the millions on the PC and a few million on XSX/S.
Hardcore not casual numbers bro.
No I don't think Xbox is casual friendly They left after the 360 but the hardcore like us stick around just some like me don't support rental gaming services.
If what you wrote is true he is hardly spreading lies. The three years of Gold would have been paid for regardless in most cases for those who upgrade (but not likely at once of course), so you would be getting the GP sweetener for 3 years for an extra buck. That said, MS would be also entirely justified in saying they sold 3 years of GP (at normal 15 tier) for 181 since it would have included Gold anyway, and I really doubt many people would have subscribed to Gold for 3 years without intending to upgrade it. So in a way both of you are right, and just seeing things from a different point of view. That's not lying. What? This is a joke right?
You CANNOT get three years of Gamepass Ultimate for one dollar. The best you can do is buy three years of Gold ($180) then convert it to GPU.
So it's $181 not including tax. You're just spreading flat out lies.
So, $181-$180= $1 I just got GP for $1What? This is a joke right?

I this equation wrong? Because that .027 cents a month.
You proved my statement and so can I.
now. 18 million GP subscribers right?
How many are paying one of the 5 or 6 $1 deals that are constantly being offered?
There’s no answer. We don’t know.
Now who’s spreading it? Me or Msoft?
Because as far as I can see you’re defending them for making you frontload 3 years of a service that’s all markup(and is all but a necessity at this point) to subsidize another service that they’re in desperate need to make work. Then they’re yelling “10 million, 15 million 18 million!”
And you’re clapping like they won a championship but you’re accusing me of half truths.

I never said every single sub is on it. But you’re the one calling it a trick. The truth is, there’s plenty of $1 deals out there. Is that what Msoft values their service at? Maybe that’s why they doubled gold price? If you want to pay $15 while a bunch are paying $5 good for you, I guess.Sony fanboy logic; I´m stingy, trained in ps1 piracy and pc torrent, so 18 million xbox game pass users use the same trick avoiding to pay.
Subscription services success is measured by retention. The new sub numbers are for press releases. Especially when you’re enticing customers with these $1 deals. That’s the question. The breakdown of the 18 million is more important than the number 18 million. At the end of the day though, they have 18 million subscribers. It doesn't matter how they got them or get them.
They need to keep it growing for it to survive. Right now nothing else matters.

It takes 3 years to know gamepass?1$ is promotion for people to know gamepass, and to achieve new subscribers.
this should be their new marketing sloganpeople get stuck in their service and money arrives.
That’s for pee tests and taking harassment complaints. That´s the marketing tactic of Xbox; you can try and apply to Microsoft human resources and teach them how to make more money
It takes the time for Microsoft to be the third biggest company of earth, and to know hoy to make money. It takes 3 years to know gamepass?

Which gamepass? One of the $1 gamepass options the $10 gamepass or the $15 gamepass? On the other hand, it takes 1 day to understand the value of gamepass.
The gamepass that makes Microsoft rich, and the gamepass that makes its consumers happy.Which gamepass? One of the $1 gamepass options the $10 gamepass or the $15 gamepass?
Then why isn’t it one price? I’m starting to think you’re one of the people paying triple for gpu and you need to rationalize. The gamepass that makes Microsoft rich, and the gamepass that makes its consumers happy.
10$ game pass, 15$ game pass ultimate (with gold)A

Ok Andy dufresne. But that’s exactly what you’re getting. 3 years of gamepass for $1. Not 3 years of gpu for $1. I never said that. I said gamepass is $1You are being purposefully obtuse. You are framing it as you can get three years of GPU for one dollar. That is a completely disingenuous argument because you literally can't.
That is like telling someone "I'll sell you the Gillette razors for $1, oh and by the way that's just the handle. The razors will cost you $30"
Point is you just can't tell someone "Hey, you can get three years of GPU for $1!!" And then forget to tell them you have to fork over $180 upfront.
They have 100 million active live users.
How many are gold?
There are no gold subscription numbers. That’s one of my points. Why? Why are they so proudly volunteering GP numbers but not gold numbers?
Everyone is getting gold anyway you’re just paying it upfront.
The gamepass that makes Microsoft rich,
You are. Because you’re quoting me out of context. Go back and read because there’s more to that post and what I was responding to. I don’t know how many gold subs they have. In the context of GPU, everyone is getting gold anyway, right? So why pay $540 over 3 years when you can pay $180 up front? Do you want gamepass without gold? Are you planning on playing any of those games online? Because if you’re not, the value of gamepass decreases substantially.I'm confused.
MS gets a butt load of cash no matter how you cut it.
At the end of the day though, they have 18 million subscribers. It doesn't matter how they got them or get them.

Then why did you quote the entire post? Sounds like you missed out on the loophole and you’re maybe trying to justify paying $15 a month while there’s potentially millions that are getting EVERYTHING you’re getting for $5 a month. This isn’t like waiting for a price drop on a game, you’re paying 3 times the price at the same time. Or...or...are you paying $1 for gamepass for 3 years? It most definitely was not out of context, you knew what you were writing & what you were inferring. You just let your guard down.
Keep digging that hole.

18 million consumers paying 120$ a year means 2160.000.000 $. Besides, xbox sells more games than ever, increasing 51% this year. that´s a lot of money to shareWell, surely they paying developers more money than they earning "buttload of cash" from Gamepass

See? Gamepass $1. You brought up GPU and my “framing” this post above clarifies it for you. You’re making some ridiculous analogy about shaving. Is this post above right or wrong? Am I paying $1 for gamepass? Yes. Nice try though. Listen man, enjoy your gamepass. How much are you paying by the way? $15 a month or $5 or $10...I can see where it gets confusing.Ok Andy dufresne.
