I already have more games than I can realistically play. I don't find value in these services where you pay to increase your backlog. I'd just feel obliged to rush through things if I'm paying monthly, I'd rather take my time. Some months I may not even finish a single game, why keep paying?

Think he was just lazily baiting for bites.
No. jshackles jshackles said most people would use a sony gamepass if all their first party titles are on there. All the usual suspects are saying no which is why I made that comment lol. Not surprised you guys saw it as bait

But seriously you have to admit that if you choose the third option your saying that you hate gamepass like services. Where's the option for those of us that are OK with it existing but won't subscribe to it.

My only issue is if it becomes the only option or if it impacts the quality of the games.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Not an option for me in poll but I’d sub. I don’t sub to all game subs (ea, ubi, ect can take a hike) and I don’t prefer PS games.

No option for me either. I am most definitely in favor of services like Game Pass but not interested in PS5 or Sony games. I'd consider something like GP for Switch.

Preferring physical is good but not liking gamepass for the sake of existing is weird asf. The few AAA titles MS made that launched on gamepass the quality has not deteriorated, have they?
Forza Horizon 4 is arguably the best open world racing game ever, Gears 5 is better than Gears 4.

Flight sim is... not really a game but it is an AAA production.

I would rather wait for shovelware to go be given away through PSplus and wait for discounts on games I’m actually interested.

At the end of 7 years, Gamepass bill will run up to what? 800$? I would have to be out of my mind.

Isn't this essentially what PS Now is with the exception of any PC games or any games appearing on the day of release?

You know that PS Now exists for 5+ years and it is 2-3x cheaper than GamePass? You live under a rock all this time?
Wasn’t it streaming only for most of its life and only started offering downloads in Sept 2018 after Gamepass started taking off?

Also it was much more expensive until it had Gamepass as a competitor.

People are kidding themselves if they think a subscription model won't influence how games are made and delivered to us. If it becomes the standard, it will surely impact how games are made and delivered to us. Hopefully, and I really want to emphasize the hope part here, is that we still have the flexibility of purchasing as we have right now but even that I question, like, what will that be like? Are paying for full single player experiences?

Don't get me wrong. It can certainly influence things into a positive direction but there is no guarantee.

Yes, it was added in 2018. PS Now still was cheaper than GamePass even before price cut. But anyway, OP live under a rock.

Yep I was subbed to PSNOW for 6 months. Let it lapse recently because I played everything I would want. So until a bunch of new content comes out I'm done.

You can be uninterested in any type of gaming rental subscription model, but not be against it. The third option should read “uninterested.”

Yes. They are fucking stupid to have overpriced exclusives on the PS5 and not just offer the inevitable Monthly/Yearly pass to play the games they develop or moneyhat on PC/Console via a subscription.

I'm a member of Gamepass and it's not all it's cracked up to be. If you're an obsessive gamer then I suppose it's worth it, but buying the big games you wanna play in the first month of release and all others at deep discounts later on is definitely the best route for most people. A PlayStation Gamepass would be tempting though with how many great legacy franchises it has.

So why leave out a simple no answer?

Basically a not for me but I'm ok with it existing type answer.

But instead you put a no plus I hate it type answer?

That's kind of weird.

Whats so good about gamepass, 90% of good games on there, i have already played, rest are junk, im not paying $15 a month to play 3 games a year, can ms really make any profit on this, i have my doubts.

Isn’t that exactly the same price you’d pay if you bought those 3 games at full price during the year?

It would only be worth it if all their third-party games were on there, aswell as a good proportion of new third-party games but I can see it happening.

Plus I have too many subscription services as it is.

Fuck yeah!!!

I'm not a collector nor do I replay games so if I could get Sony's exclusives for a $10-$20 monthly rental, I would do it in a heartbeat. For Xbox Series X, I currently have Game Pass Ultimate through April 30th since it was included in the Xbox Series X bundle I bought from GameStop back in December but once that expires, my plan is simple, sign up when there's an exclusive or third party game that I want to play day one for a $10 monthly rental and then cancel. Would do the same for Sony's exclusives and whatever third party games were available day one on PlayStation Pass.

No. It’s just not how I care to play. I want to own games and play at my own pace.

I still buy movies and shows on iTunes and watch them when I want without worrying what’s on a service or getting removed.

Nope.

I never had interest in PS Now too.

More like PS Now.

Ack that's what I meant. I subscribe to both so I get them mixed up. they're both good but if I had to choose one it would be Plus since I'm playing offline way less and would rather financially support a service that could expand its library even further.
