When that game first came out it felt like it was Ubisoft lite.

Have we ever seen an 83 metascore game get this many gotys?

Really like his reviews, some of the best on the internet. Thought he was a bit harsh on the TLOU 2 regardless of the needless woke stuff 😁, but I think he said it's not his type of his game.

I didnt like how he chose 3 games instead of ranking them from 3 to 1. But other than that solid video. Did he play Half Life Alyx? Its weird to see it missing his top 10 considering he just said he values innovation more than execution.

I like Skill Up,he's a good reviewer....I'm still surprised by his opinions on TLoU2 though.
He always seems to see the quality in a game and TLoU2 had a lot of that....weird.

He disliked the story mainly and the average combat couldn't make up for it. He already he didn't enjoy TLOU1 that much except for mainly the story and characters.

He did a second video on 2020 in gaming and he noted how good death stranding was received on PC, but I think it was his 2019 GOTY so he didn't want to repeat it

Death Stranding getting GotYs didn't shock me though as critics either loved it or hated it. It did grab a lot of 10's

Ghost seemed to be the opposite. Lot's of 7,8,9 scores, very few 10's.

It is really good, but I didn’t find it particularly amazing or unique. It still uses the open-world template. The “here’s some new shit you’ve never seen or played” game was Death Stranding. Too new and unique, it seems.

That’s not to take away from the game Sucker Punch made, it’s a huge undertaking to do what they did, for a studio that’s been known for superhero games to veer off onto a new path and on top of it, be an American studio making a game set in Japan’s history. The pressure was probably immense. They did a great job. The combat system was pretty good and the visuals were incredible. Jin Sakai is a character I won’t forget.

Nice to see Risk of Rain 2 get representation on a best of the year list. That game is crazy addicting. I've put over 300 hours into it on PC. Best roguelike I've played (although I've heard that Hades game is pretty good).
