No it's because some twitter guy said they were

The cus are very different compared to rdna 1. That rumor makes no sense

Point is that that rumor is still today more credible than all the BS that was thrown the PS5 way. Honestly, a number of people have been hammering like madmen on
  • Tflop difference, which means nothing by itself;
  • on the bs of overclocking, which never was true given that the design has always been in terms of high frequencies like all RDNA2 GPUs;
  • on the bs of raytracing being software based, which isn't just false, but as of today we have better RT performance on PS5 than XSX, with Spencer back paddling away from RT;
  • on heat, while we know that the XSX is more cramped;
  • on ssd speeds being the same, while they are not and XSX using an off the shelf 2.4G/s kit;
  • on data compression being the same, while they are not;
  • on PS5 being "RDNA1.5", which was just slanderous;
  • on noise, while the console is damn quiet
Then we get to the launch date and we find out that, like the most credible sources had been saying all the time, multiplats run just the same of both systems, maybe a bit better on the PS5 but by a hair.

You know what? I don't care at this point: I declare the RDNA 1 CUs on the XSX rumor to be true and be done with that. After all it's all the same since no one has any interest to understand that the two systems have very different design architectures: one is designed to be fast and narrow, while the other is designed to be slow and wide. End result is that games run on both system perfectly fine and the real difference will be what you can play, not what it looks like. As always.

Stop pollution this topic. So stupid to post such screenshot, when it is obvious that the lights are on also on series X as we can see the reflections on the car, and that the differences are due to bad HDR capture... (Just see the lightning difference few secondes after outside).

NXGamer is honestly careless

Stop getting so defensive. You will enjoy your ps5 more. Ms mentions out specific features added to the cu in patents. Believe what you want, but the constant over defensive posture some of you take, is truly telling.

I can make a list of bs people said about xbox s/x that is twice as a long, with some being current made up bs. However im not taking a defensive position because of some perceived persecution of sony. I play games on my console and enjoy what ive seen. That is more important then some list trying to prove something was said about my console of choice, and i didnt like it. Im not gonna make something up about the competing system out of spite.

You get it wrong: I am not defensive, I am just amused that as soon as the whole "XSX most powerful console" narrative was shut down by the actual games we, Sony platform owners, became the bullies.

Oh well, I have games to play, at least.

Lights are reflecting with no lights on lol.

It's just a rushed game that no one should be claiming ownage on in the first place

I wish I had one. Then I wouldn't be posting here so often and would be enjoying games like Demon Souls on it.

Anyways Bo

Oh Behave Austin Powers GIF

Hope you get yours! I've never used Rest Mode at all, and my PS5 is dead silent and working 100% perfect. So yes, I would rather never touch rest mode because I can download new games within 7-25 minutes. Started playing Immortal Fenyx Rising after 7 minutes and fully installed within 17 minutes, so if you have a good internet connection don't use rest mode. My Pulse 3D lasts for 12 hours and wired is near-identical to wireless, couldn't notice a difference in quality or volume. I recharge my controller and Pulse 3D with my many USB-C cellphone chargers that I already own while sleeping.

My Charging Station failed, probably a fuse but to lazy to change the fuse and I have plenty of chargers that do the same job. I got 2 controllers as well. So saying I will use rest mode to recharge my headset/controller is a lame excuse, honestly. Only use it if you have bad internet speeds, like I used to do before on PS4 before upgrading to fiber.

Rumor has it the word BO is next to be banned from twitch after being being banned on Gaf a dozen times over thr last year

Last ban was a misunderstanding though, but let's put that behind. :messenger_winking_tongue:

I never use rest mode either.

If I know I will be gaming fairly soon I boot up either system and let it do its thing before sitting down.

Are you that busy? Lol. Starting a game never been an issue, but loading screens are annoying.

The only time I haven’t used rest mode was when I was playing Miles Morales. Haven’t had any issues using rest mode every day since.

Good to hear that! Just wanted to be clear as some accusing me of lying for saying that my PS5 is silent! Seems like I need another video of my PS5 like I did with my silent PS4 Pro.

Nice. Another cherry picked PS fan pic debunked.

After being spoiled with Ghosts I have left this in my backlog as I just know it wont compare favourably especially in combat, will probably start Fenyx next. I cant stop playing legends mode though.....yikes.

Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Teases Things He’s “Incredibly Excited About” For 3 to 10 Years in The Future

Speaking more in general, he mentioned that he sees what is coming in the next year as “Horizon 0,” while things coming between two and three years in the future are “Horizon 1.” Finally, there is “Horizon 2,” representing things that may come three to ten years out. Most of those may not work, but some do. Backward compatibility was one of them.

Among those there are some things he’s “incredibly excited about” and they will be talked about in the next year or two. According to Spencer, those may get people as excited as xCloud or Game Pass are doing today.

While the team is in the moment, they’re also thinking about things that have the potential to be real changers, but are also risky.

There are some cool things on the horizon there as well. It’s just an incredibly exciting time for the teams right now.

I ended up getting a brand new Series X really cheap because a guy wanted to buy a lot of things for his new year party, I watched him publish it a lot of times on marketplace and was trying to scalp it, guess no one bought it at those prices and since Christmas time was over he had to sell it at a lost, so now I have a digital PS5 and a Series X I can use for 4K blu rays.
