Having now played through (fully) CP 2077, I think 7 is a fair score. Graphically, on the right hardware, its an astonishing world to look at and explore but the rough edges, and there are so,so many, are impossible to ignore.

It does have the potential though for a 'No Mans Sky' type rebirth over the years if CDPR put the effort in.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
Cyberpunk 2077 was supposed to be big and it’s the most talked about game of all time.

Surprised to see such a high score for Call of the Sea.
Looked fine in trailers but it was super disappointing in my opinion, it’s like it tried to be Myst or The Witness or something but failed miserably, it was just slow and plain boring.

Agree with this. I played it last night for an hour and uninstalled it after. Everything about it was just really boring.

Edge focus on innovation as key point for their scores.
Cybepunk 2077 has like no innovation at all.

7 seems fine.

I was expecting a 6 due the issues... they were not harsh this time.

What game has innovated this past gen? A handful of games at best. Cyberpunk most certainly has innovated in cutscene direction, dialogue flow, quest design and other rpg related aspects.

Are you saying that if it was a PS4 game instead the hate wouldn't existed? Or that it's all fanboy stuff?

Just joking.

Just joking.

Here:

Oh I see. I didn't know this was a thing. Wow. Funny enough I don't think what the writer did was all that bad. But I guess it's about the hypocrisy of it all that matters.

Cyberpunk 2077 copies these all and tried to make them works well together.
They did not archive that die rushed AI and complex quest design.

Others RPGs and action/adventure did all that and better before CP2077.

CDPR has a lot of overhaul to do to delivery the game they wanted.

A 7 for Cyberpunk sounds about right. I will never understand those early 100s scores, not even on PC.
A lot of "industry persuasion" went on, plus promises of bug fixes coming in the illustrious day 1 patch. Even Sony and MS fell for that one.

Well Crysis was a PC showcase but never a great game... gameplay was very lacking like all others CryTek games.
I do love it for the image presentation... nothing else.

the gameplay in crysis is actually quite good...

This is laughably wrong. The original Crysis is a brilliant piece of sandbox combat design. It plays incredibly well.
