My wife and I have been ON this shit almost every day with no luck. It's not that important I get one, I mean I WANT one, but at this point she's taken it as a personal affront that it is hard to acquire and now must succeed in purchasing one.

On Saturday we got 16 but upper management decided we couldn’t sell them until 5 (they had gotten off the truck around 4-4:30-ish)

it was fucking nuts. They were gone in like ten minutes

I was turned away from Walmart because they said "Sony insisted on using Online ONLY" to sell the things. Dunno how accurate that is, but I was like.. OK? And walked off. Not much else I could do. Maybe rage and break a bunch of TVs out of frustration? Lol.

I secured mine on Monday evening from Walmart walk in here in central FL after months of failing to get a pre order or anything... happened to at the dentist and a wal mart was a mile away.

No stock on brickseek when I went in to dentist, stock when I left... just swooped in waited an hour and got one. Actually walked in morning of nov 10 and got a series x from the same wal mart on launch day too. Wal mart has been good this gem.

I got the Xbox Series X. Walked into the same walmart I camped out and got nothing a day later and got the last one they had in the back at 5pm. :messenger_unamused:

Gamestop's have PS5s and XSX bundles right now. You have to go in the store and order it, and it will ship. Each store might have 3 PS5s it sounds like. My store still had 3.

That’s better organized than my Walmart. Like 60 people in line, yet no one would confirm how many consoles they had in stock so most of those people in line were probably there for nothing. Wouldn’t you want to tell the exact number of units in stock so you could reduce the line and avoid added frustration?

WM is changing back to online only console sales lol. Guess there has been too much harassment of employees and people waiting in store every morning.

The tweets are a little slower than the live broadcast updates, that was the difference for me because I was close to giving into a scalper.

If that is the case, they will have to deal with delivery companies potentially stealing more units and Walmart having to issue out refunds for lost consoles and giving even more gift cards to frustrated customers.

FYI about WalMart in Store sales..... Online only now (at least ariund here) and that's after removibg the PS5 sku from Brickseek (thank fucking goodness)


There has been a beating and stabbing around here lately for them.. Thinknof it this way, scalpers are making more money off reselling PS5s than selling heroin, coke, meth, etc......

Nah, you can ask, if they say no then it’s a no. They don’t need to manually scan any barcode just because a customer doesn’t believe them 😆

Irrelevant anyway, they aren’t selling them in store anymore.

Nah, it’s not about not believing them, it’s just that you’ve heard through the grapevine and they might not have put them out yet. Why would they say no? That makes no sense.

“Hi, sorry to be a pain but I heard you guys might’ve had a recent delivery of PS5’s but there’s non out on the shelves. Could you scan the barcode to check to see if they’re in the warehouse?”

“Absolutely not, I have the right to say no.”

That’s not going to happen is it. Ask politely and they’ll surely be happy to oblige unless they’re emotionally unstable.

What a weird train of thought...

That’s not how it goes down though, that’s why they got Brickseek to remove the listings, that’s why popfinder had to literally put up a banner for people to stop being rude to employees (Target I guess) and why WM went back to online only.

But hey feel free to ask to scan a barcode for an item they don’t sell in store all you want 👍

If you're waiting in que for Sony the best thing you can do is find the DIRECT link to the PS5 you want, most likely the disc model, clear your browser cache/history/cookies and then reload your browser. After reopening paste the link, press the ESC key repeatedly and from then on you have a limited amount of time till the cue catches what you're doing (1-2 minutes, have your browser save your login) and puts you back in line. But you if you manage too add it to your cart and checkout, congrats, you've secured a PS5 directly from Sony.

Oh people are definitely rude about it.

One thing I’ve learned from working at Walmart for five years: people refuse to hear “no” for an answer whether it’s a straight up no or a “sorry, but we’re out”

Best Buy seems to be doing store by store... North Hills, PA had add to cart for PS5 at 9am. Nothing else around in the surrounding area. Weirdly, best buy changed my home store to that store when it went to add to cart.

To be fair, it is literally the only store that said that and it was only for the playstation 5. And, it still has the add to cart. Switch your location to it right now if you wish to see it.

That said, I couldn't order one due to (High demand and we have an extra step now) messages anyways.

changed to that location and still says coming soon. Maybe it was a glitch?

When you got it for the first time - did it initially show coming soon and then switch to add to cart while you were on the page? Or was it after a refresh?

It said coming soon then refreshed at 9am to add to cart. I tried to add it for like 15 minutes but kept getting 1 of 2 error messages. Then I switched to Century 3 which is closer to me. Coming soon. Back to North Hills. Add to cart. Tried all various areas around me. Back to it. Tried adding repeatedly again... error messages. I have been going back and forth to North Hills here and there and it has been add to cart.

It went to coming soon while trying to figure out how to screenshot it after your posts. (Print screen apparently doesn't work?). Then, I switched off to century 3. Switched back to North Hills and Add to cart again.

So, idk.
