Spider-Man Miles Morales is a great example of how you evolve a great predecessor.

WOW this game was great, maybe it could've been cheaper due to it's relatively short length but the game we got within that 8 hour story? Immense!

Every single aspect of the game is massively improved upon from Spider-Man 2018, the swinging somehow feels even more fluid with animation tweaks, a wider range of tricks to pull off and the newfound venom traversal abilities that greatly boost the enjoyment of swinging around the city to levels I didn't think were possible.

The fighting mechanics and stealth systems have been tweaked to feel much more satisfying to partake in and more immersive, be it the wider enemy variety, addition of new venom powers or the inclusion of ever so slightly more advanced stealth systems. It all improves the experience and delivers a great time to be had.

The pacing of the game is phenomenal, each mission improves on the previous one and the bosses were all enjoyable, I feel like the variety of things to do in the main quests were good, and the lack of boring sections like the MJ stealth missions in 2018's game really helped to keep you engaged at all times.

The narrative albeit great did suffer from not landing the emotional blows as much as 2018's game due to the lack of time to really flesh out relationships between characters and the individual characters themselves, but the overall story worked well enough and was a big improvement over the post launch Spider-Man DLC that really missed the mark for me personally.

And lastly, the city feels so alive compared to 2018, not that the previous game felt empty, not at all, it was a great cityscape to play around in, but the limits of the hardware show when comparing it to MM on the PS5. The inclusion of a great raytracing mode alongside a much needed 60fps option really add so much more to the experience.

I won't spoil anything, but the ending really makes me excited for the next entry in the series, and I have my whole trust in Insomniac to further improve on there already amazing systems and mechanics, to deliver yet another masterpiece.

GO PLAY MILES MORALES!

This game is a perfect example of how “diversity” can be done properly if it’s well written instead of the usual shoehorned “and your neighbor is very obviously a disabled trans person just because we needed diversity points. You will be reminded of this constantly.” The game is just great and the storyline is every bit as good as the first Spider-Man, cannot recommend enough.

I agree, was so expertly handled, just like most aspects of the game, well worth the price of admission in my eyes!

I liked 2018 story by far, also lol at
having the same exact Venom tease. He's being treated as Thanos in the mcu

Probably only 2 hours in to it but I'm really loving it. I found the original had some really boring mission but this has been non-stop action.
I think the fact the story is streamlined helps. It’s hard to make a 15-20 hour adrenaline rush action packed story or else everyone would do it.

It seriously looks absolutely splendid to play. I will never complain about these types of games. Precisely why I played the hell out of Uncharted Lost Legacy. Tighter game experience which felt new but with the controls and mechanics I liked from the previous game. All you can get from a Spidey game is New York so there's no use in people complaining that only snow is the visual difference to the world. Because that's what you'll get in Spider Man 2. It's the characters, story and gameplay foundations that's what proves it's worth of being a larger fun "expansion"

I want to play OP’s game that has a 8h story, because the Miles game sure as hell has no 8h story. I‘d be hard pressed to call this a 5h game, because that‘s how long it took me to finish all quests it has to offer without fast traveling or skipping cutscenes.

Overall Miles’ introduction into the Marvel universe has been well done. Peter doesn’t have to die for Miles to exist, miles has his own problems that he has contend with and his own personality. Goes through his own hero’s journey.

I'm so excited to start this, maybe tonight even but I'm sure I'll be drawn back into Astro's.

Thanks Kanye, Than-ye.

Sorry pal, I know it varies a lot when you don't like looking at shit. I stare at everything usually so double any predicted playtimes for me. They said 4 hours for Astro and I've spent like 8 hours so far on 75% of the content.

You just have to stop and stare at everything and smoke tons of grass, I will show you the way of the "stone-gamer", come with me to my Palace of Weed.

I took my time getting 100% and then went for the Platinum with a quick 2nd NG+ playthrough. One of the quickest plats I got, even some Telltale games took longer to plat.

Them selling this as a full price game is an insult, it doesn‘t hold a candle to The Lost Legacy in terms of story content. It‘s literally a copy paste of the first game. The only saving grace this game offers is native mission replay without savegame hopping.

Don‘t get me wrong, I love Spidey games and this game was fun. Just not 59/79€ fun.

I don‘t smoke, but thanks for the offer anyways.
