basically mean no plan yet. people just need to be ready when later in future they increase the price. even netflix did that all not without a reason.

no way cost are only stagnant.

No shit just like 69.99 dollar games. Inflation things go up in price. I can buy it on sales now and be protected for 2-3 years out.

It's so sustainable they already increased PC Gamepass monthly price recently from $1 to around $4 or $5 in Europe iirc.

The gamepass model is hardly compatible with big AAA studios and high budget AAA games, that's the problem. Some of the studios they now have like Bethesda (if it goes through) will demand high costs including wages every month. It's pretty hard to make it in the green when you give away $70 games for free day one in the pass. Either the price goes up like Netflix or Spotify did, or the quality and daily costs must go down. Or you have to sell biggest games on other platforms too.

The other problem I see is we're more time constrained in gaming than money constrained. Our gaming time is restricted by our daily lives (job, wife, children...) more than by money. It means a "cheap" option like gamepass isn't that interesting when we could simply buy the best games you want instead (best PS5 exclusives, best PC games...) Why would we choose to play other games in our time than the ones we want to play ? It doesn't cost that much anyway. On the other hand, our time is precious and limited.

The Sony concern trolls are fucking obnoxious. Then again, I wouldn't expect a group of morons that pay for strong armed mediocre plus subscriptions to understand what an actual service looks like and how it works. Will prices go up eventually? Probably yes, even at 15 or 20 dollars a month though, it's still the best value in gaming and easy to justify if you're someone who is, you know, actually in it for the games and not to give out handjobs to your favorite corporation.

I honestly can't understand why you are so offended given you don't give out "hand jobs" to "your favorite" corporation. Stop being dismissive of people's opinions with broad generalizations. People discussing all applicable scenarios does not mean they are trolling.

I guess some just wonder if you don't like a system and you don't like a service what concerns would you have in the first place? Are you concerned for other players money? Why would you care?

Well, the fact that they are sharing their opinion on the matter should be indication enough that they are interested and isn't it assuming that people don't like a system and/or service? I mean, it doesn't really matter how the statements are dressed up; ultimately, people are talking about the service and what interests them or doesn't interest them. So, discussing possible scenarios where the price could go up or may not go up. Saying all that does not mean it is trolling.

I think it could be one of three:
1. They wanted the attention of people to claim "4 da gamerz!!" by announcing that way the f2p free online gaming

2. They tested the waters for price increase with the lower risk service

3. Both of them
