Yeah same. It was weird to me they updated it with what it already was. I still haven't been charged. This shit is annoying. I wish they would've just kept the authorization charge.

I agree. Just want it over with lol. I guess they're still trying to confirm allocations before it's fully drawn out.

Had Walmart.ca put a "pending" transaction on my account Thursday. I assume this is a hold? Expected arrival date is still Nov 18th but I'm hopeful that it'll change to the 12th seeing as they've charged me so far ahead.

Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
At first I felt kinda sad I did not get a chance to secure one. Then again, the up side is if there are any major early console problems I can dodge a bullet.

It annoys me that retailers don’t just hang on to your order and let you know it’ll come later like Apple does. It drives me crazy. Some people just want to place their order and have no problem waiting.

It might be easier for the stores to just cancel the orders all together. That might be why they go that route.

These consoles could be more limited then we think, the stores might not even have an idea of when they will get more batches to cover all the orders.

Apple has the best order system around. Never out of stock just pushes the date back (and usally end up shipping far sooner then they estimate). I get why retail stores don’t do it but if you buy directly from Sony or MS no reason they can’t do it as well.

Yeah, I'm definitely in that category. I really only care if I have it before Thanksgiving.

So far for guys without preorders, we know that:

B&H isn’t doing pre orders, so that bundle should go live sometime on the 12th

target is doing in store pickup only, with somewhere from 10-30 consoles available. this is probably best shot for us message board guys since we got the heads up. Average joes will probably get burnt camping outside for no reason.

amazon has been very weird. They had that backdoor wario64 link... and that’s it?

I hope all of you who pre-ordered don't get either console. I want you all to feel the anger I felt from not getting through on a single website despite constantly trying for many hours for XSX and PS5 pre-orders. ANd then finally seemingly getting one through on Costco.com and then get an email cancellation an hour later.

I hate you all. Truly hate you all.
Im being a little sarcastic.
You could be me. Two preorders cancelled because I got laid off last week.

So I haven't been keeping up with the PS5 stock, so can anyone give me a quick over/under on the situation?

What is the possibility for some of us plebs who don't want to camp outside Walmarts/Targets for days or continuously referesh pages online to simply walk into a store and grab a console on release, or sometime this year? Is this going to be even possible?

I checked a few big retailers online a couple times like Amazon/Target and the console has never been available for pre-order. I'm not too fussed about getting it on release, or even this year if I can't, but if it's available for purchase without needing to sacrifice my soul, I'd probably pick it up.

I honestly say true we be a nearly the same as any console launch but expect delays due to Corona.

1. The stock will vary by store per chain, for instance GameStop says some of stores will get some and some won’t. My advice? Google “GameStop prestige store” and see if there’s a listing in your area for one. Why? In order to be a Prestige store, that location has hit their sale’s goals and corporate has a reason to give them more product.

2. Target confirmed most if not all stores will receive extra stock but you’ll have to order online for pickup the day of at specific stores but they haven’t confirmed when those consoles will go for sale on the 12th

3. You can DM me for Antonlines social media number. They sold me a bundle but know this; they will call you at their convenience and you agree pay in full ahead of time, you have 48hrs after they create the PayPal invoice to pay. They’re going through orders and canceling bot order’s to clear up stock.

4. If you know anyone who has access to the military exchange they pop up here and there.

5. Expect there to be a trickling of stock for that weekend but come Black Friday when every Best Buy, Walmart and Target have pallets of them available for sale don’t be shocked.

6. Get crafty with Python and have an auto purchase script for Amazon as orders get cancelled everyday and people just have it running till they get the order confirmed confirmation.

This is where I’m at, prefer not to be but I can’t complain.

Word on the street is stock all reserved through to 2022. Personally it sounds unrealistic frankly.

Just download the distill web monitor extension and customize the alarm and frequency. No need to write a Python check out script.

Target hasn't made their lot available yet? Or are you saying there's going to be 10-30 on release day?

Has anyone who pre-ordered their PS5 from Amazon had their shipping estimate change? Mine is still listed as "We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date."

I'm beginning to think I might not get it at launch. :messenger_crying:

I think most of us in the US still have it saying that on Amazon. I am in the various stages of grief that I will not have it at release at this point.

I think (hope) we are good with our amazon preorders. You can’t preorder the PS5 on amazon right now so I think those of us who already have pre orders are “in” to the extent that amazon is expecting to have a PS5 for us. They are probably covering themselves on the off chance it doesn’t get enough by November 12th.

I wouldn't worry about it. I pre-ordered the Pulse 3D Headset through Amazon and have the same message. It probably won't change until it ships.

Just got this from Sony today!

The following items in your order have shipped:

Order Number: XXXXXXXXXXX

Details
Qty.
DualSense™ Charging Station
1

To check the status of your shipment
Still nothing on my end. I'm glad they serve as a testing bed for whether payments will process, because lord knows I can find peripherals down the road if needed but would like the confidence of knowing my payment details won't cause me to lose my console pre-order.

I preordered an iPhone 12 pro and my ship date was displayed when I placed my order and I’m actually getting it 3 days ahead of why they said.

And Apple is selling 75 million of these things this year while this hot mess is happening with less than 10 million PS5 systems. It is amazing how far behind virtually everyone is (MS, Nvidia) while also operating at a much lower scale.

Nope. Amazon does whatever they want. They release things when they want and they dont really have to provide good customers service anymore. I wouldnt worry too much, I expect it to update next week

I have that message for my PS5, Spider-Man, and Assassin's Creed. So I'm not too worried about it....yet.

It's kinda werid that Amazon hasn't updated any shipping info on PS5 accessories. Target and the Sony store are both sending some for the 30th, but Amazon still seems to think they have to wait?

Looks like I get PS5 on release day from Bestbuy. Target controller and charger Oct 29th. No update from Amazon on my PS5 and controller.

So Target is a camp spot. We hear anything from Walmart yet?
Curious in how this will work when you can also order online for curbside pickup or is Target going to intentional make units only available for in store pick up. Kinda disappointing if this turns out to be true.

Yesterday, Target said my headset was going to ship today. This morning it says it's on backorder now.

Yeah I have one ordered at Amazon and one at Target. Whichever one gets here first is mine, the 2nd one can go to my brother or my nephew.

I was really hoping to get it before launch or at least by launch day. I just want to be playing Demon's Souls and COD with the new headset right away.

Hi everyone. I've never pre-ordered a console before, so I was wondering if it's normal for Best Buy to offer an appointment time for instore pickups? Is this a specific thing that happens every new console generation or something? I've preordered games and such before from Best Buy, but this is the first time I've ever gotten an email about scheduling an appointment for a pickup. Usually I just walk in and line up at the pickup counter. I can't make any of the times they're offering (they're all during really early work hours for some reason) so I'll have to do what I usually do anyway. The only reason I am concerned is that they say it's "To ensure your safety and limit your wait time"...like what exactly do they expect is going to happen with this launch? I didn't partake in the PS4 launch, so should I be expecting to wait crazy hours at the store? And to ensure safety from what? I'm assuming they mean covid, but could it be that they are afraid people might get mugged outside of the store or something?

I preordered that starter bundle from Gamestop, and they just charged my credit card for the extra controller and PS Plus subscription. Is this a good sign?

I didn’t preorder from BB but it sounds like they are trying to avoid having people line up or forming a crowd early before they open for Covid reasons. You shouldn’t have to wait at all if you pick up during the day. They just don’t want that long line at opening.
