Skillup said theirs: good game but average story. Still enjoyable.

Personally I believe the graphic is very very nice with RT on.

Yeah, what a horrible message. I mean, out of all the things you could want to say...
I know. And it is never really all are equal, it is all are valuable and deserve a common minimum, but hey, if you can't argue legitimately that something is bad you might as well twist it to some extreme version so you can and then cry about it every time someone mentions it as if they are invading your world or something.

Anyway, I am excited to play my free game on my 3080. I hope it looks nice while I waste hours doing sidequests before dropping it for something else. It's a shame the story is meh. Why can't they nail that? Are all the good writers working TV?

How cucked is the game politically? It's sounding pretty gay to me
What do you think?

I expected this.

Everyone should come into this game from the perspective of: Open sandbox, do what you want.

and not: This will have a great story.

Depending on what you like and expect from this game, it will sway your opinion. I wanted this game anyway to just mess around with friends, getting it free with my 3080 is just a bonus. I'm still excited.

I'm just excited for something new and innovative. It might not end up being perfect in any sense but I think there will be a lot of little things that bring this game the extra mile for me.

I don't know what regional outlets are counted in the metacritic/opencritic score. Like IGN Italy and stuff.

edit: Looking at other games usually all of them eventually.

Still on the fence about this on PS5 Release. Lucky there is ~3 weeks to hold off and dig in a bit more as the reviews all seem a bit mixed. Watched a bit on Twitch Yesterday, and It looked fun, yet another stream about an hour later and It looked anything but. Piss combat and Dumb AI stood out more then the positives but "Hit and Miss" seems like a phrase just made for the Watch Dogs series.

Mixed feelings on this. CohhCarnage seemed to really like it, and Delrith (used to be part of the Angry Joe Show) loved it, and he has a pretty big agenda against Ubisoft.
I really want to give the game a good go. Unlike many on here, Ubisoft have made some of my fave games this gen, but WatchDogs was the one that hasnt really clicked with me yet.
Plus after seeing a stubbled obviously male construction woker called 'Gwyneth', and all the partly shaved, danger haired 'females', and the fact that most people you recruit seem to have foreign accents lol, its kind of putting me off lol.
I'll probably wait for a sale, which i think wont be that long to be honest. WatchDogs 2 underperformed (compared to the first game), and buzz for this game seems almost none existent (could change now though after Cyberpunk fiasco).

The dialogue is horrific as well, UK actors trying to sound hard/gangsta/street is one of the most cringe things on planet earth

Funny thing is that fake London accent, doesn't even exist, its all just an act, so if you hear someone with that accent IRL, they're putting it on, therefore an utter bellend

Ya git me fam

Also stormzy.........gtfo lol

I included all the big name reviews that are currently out and some from different regions (big or not).

That's all for now.

Personally, I'm excited to see how this came together. I'll probably be playing on permadeath.

Oh look, it's turning into another "Help I'm being exposed to ideas that conflict with my previously held beliefs and I feel the need to whine about it rather than ignoring it and putting my energy elsewhere" Thread.
After watching 2 seperate streams of the game now, its actually pretty hard to ignore it.

Ok, I already expect the game is somewhat around that score region. I do hope the mechanics will be expanded in the next iteration.

Thanks for the review thread OP. Looks like it's a Ubisoft game! Competent, but nothing earth shattering or GOTY worthy, as usual.

I hope Clint Hocking will be allowed to do another Splinter Cell now..

It's a game about a fascist police state. How could any of you possibly think they weren't going to take the opportunity to compare it to current political happenings.

It's ok, as expected.

Will wait for a sale like I do with all Ubisoft open world games.

The idea and premise of the game was very unique and extremely interesting, but the execution simply wasn't there. I am not sure if it was simply due to the developers or if the game was simply too ambitious at this point and time, they clearly had to "innovate" on some aspect like the AI speech.

As the IGN review mentioned they could have introduced more fleshed out rogue like elements when it came to skills and abilities of the NPC's you could recruit to create a more diverse give-take system when it comes to the variety of play style one could experiment.

I will definitely still give it a try, just at a later time when it is cheaper as I have played the prior 2 games which I enjoyed, but also felt could have pushed much further than what they delivered.

No, no. The 7/10s are a mark of sheer quality!
There are many reasons that it could score that way and none of them have to be the ones you mentioned which seems to be the case with the reviews.

If you watch videos and don't like what you see, fine.
