Demon's Souls isn't on any other console. And while MM is, it seems to utilize the PS5 in a much more obviously next gen way than Gears does on XSX.

Demons Souls was on PS3 and can be emulated on PC. Was asking about Gears 5 DLC (Hivebuster). If the DLC utilizes next gen power, how do they differ (Hivebuster and MM), other than length?

This Demon's Souls isn't on any other platform. It's not like the Dark Souls remaster for PS4, this is a full remake.

I don't know anything about that Gears DLC, I'm talking about the main game that MS keeps using as an XSX showcase.

I understand. I was just appreciating the irony of his/her statement about wanting new games. I don't disagree that MS is using an old game to showcase the X, but it doesn't mean they don't have games coming out at launch. Why they don't show more of them? Who knows....

Gears 5 was awful and it just looked like an X1 game in that showcase.

I'm thinking of this Xbox almost as a PC upgrade. Nothing better than logging into steam on a new build and checking out how good your old games look and run. That said, the new games will come and I'll be ready.

Honestly, I originally thought it was more to do with they haven’t much to show off themselves that’s yet to be released so they went down this route.

We already seen Valhalla in action and WG is under review embargo, you will see soon.

Cyberpunk will get seriesX enhancements next year. So you will see just One X version running on seriesX right now

I tuned out halfway through the video. As for the launch lineup, it does not excite me at all, objectively speaking.

Fortunately, I am more than excited to pick up the series X on launch day because I am one of the, apparently few, souls that loves seeing my old favorite games get upgraded and brought into the future. I'm going to play the Halo series for the first time since 360 with my friend who has a PC and go through Ninja Gaiden Black and Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3 in their most pristine format, before delving into a high end version of Cyberpunk 2077.

The launch lineup is poor, but there is plenty to love for someone like me.

This is only true at this point for Microsoft and the Xbox. And this is what they have been saying and this is intentional on their end. Xbox Series X/S is essentially the same as the Xbox One X in that they are iterations of the Xbox platform.

However, this is NOT true with the PS5. Sure there are some cross-gen games coming around launch but the system is a complete overhaul of nearly every aspect relative to PS4. The architecture, I/O, SSD, Audio, Controller, UI, services etc are all being changed for the new generation. This will enable developers to create fundamentally new and different experiences than what was possible on PS4. This is NOT the case with Xbox as everything about the Series was designed for consistency with the previous generation (same UI, same controller, no exclusive games etc).

Let's make sure we are clear on this...Sony and Microsoft are NOT approaching next gen in the same way!

I recall the Dirt series pushing graphics pretty well in its previous entries.

What are you even in about? I never said the graphics were awful, I said it looked like an Xbox One game, which it does.

Yea, Gears 5 looked awesome on Xbox One but I don't see a huge upgrade there, it's not something that gets me excited for XSX either in terms of the updated graphics or the quality of the game itself.

And I'm not an Xbox hater, as I said, I wish MS well but they need to do better on the exclusives front. Gears 4 was one of my most played MP games this gen. I have an XSX pre-ordered.
