What PS360 generation games would you like to see ported to PC or modern hardware?

I think I managed to include most of the big names that are stuck on older hardware here. Many of these are available through Xbox BC I assume, but none are available on PC or PS4 natively. This is already a meaty topic so I didn't list handheld games for now.

I would welcome PC ports of Ninja Gaiden II, Viva Pinata 1 / 2, Nuts & Bolts and Shadows of the Damned. I’d also try out the Resistance games, Folklore, Motorstorm and MGS4 if I had the chance. For Wii, Trauma Center, Mario Galaxy 2, Sin & Punishment, Punch Out and I’ve heard good things about Pandora’s Tower.

The PS3 game M.A.G. (Massive Action Game). I know its a terrible title, but the game had 128 vs 128 person multiplayer that would occasionally end up with most of those people in the center of the map.

To this date I've never played another game thats managed to gamify teamwork and leadership in a compelling way. I literally got into management in my professional life because this game introduced me to team leading. It was amazing and it is dead as a doornail with shuttered servers.

Dead rising , Lost odyssey, Blue dragoon , folklore, N3, yakuza dead souls, virtua fighter 5 FS, lollipop chainsaw and condemned.

The darkstalkers collection too but I don’t know if that’s ok because it was already a ré-ré-release of older games.

Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw, Silent Hill Downpour. For Xbox 360 arcade games, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (a pipe dream ik but still would snag it if available!), Resident Evil Code Veronica X HD.

Gears 2 and 3 are massive on my list for games I want ported since we have the rest of the mainline games. It just feels incomplete as it stands.

From the PlayStation side of things I'd be interested to see how Killzone 2 looks and plays at high FPS, Keyboard and Mouse and 4K. Would be cool to see online also.

Finally I just need Warhawk, but the correct answer is everything.

Can’t Git Gud
The Darkness (omg so much)
Gears of war trilogy (port 1 again since the port is shit and ultimate is shittier)
EDF 2017
Saint's Row 1
Shadows of the Damned

I'm not sure, I was really hoping the PS5 would have full PS3 backwards compat, and the XSX would get total 360 backwards compat, but I guess not. I'd love to see an upgraded version of Sonic Unleashed, or maybe a Modnation Racers port. Hell why not just make Modnation Racers 2 lol that game kicked ass, I loved the heavier car controls.

Alan Wake. Just finished up Control, so longing to finish Alan Wake. 360 got RROD and I never replaced it.
...Alan Wake is on PC, as is American Nightmare.

For me it would be Lollipop Chainsaw, Tekken 6, Tekken Tag 2, Gears 2 & 3, a Rock Band game (one of the very few reasons my 360 still gets used), and a bucket load of delisted games like Marvel Vs Capcom 2 HD, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, X-Men Arcade, The Simpsons Arcade, etc.

Every game should be ported to pc just for preservation but most of all

RED DEAD REDEMPTION.

I'll never understand why rockstar lazy fucks don't have a pc port available. Motherfuckers even ported LA noire to VR and switch this generation.

I don't buy the spaghetti code excuse. Just put in manhours. a couple of days of GTA online revenue should suffice to cover cost for the port.

It's worth noting a bunch of these do run on modern hardware, like Skate, Crackdown, Gears, Kameo, Lost Odyssey, Viva Pinata, Too Human (lol), RDR, Dante's Inferno, etc. Some of them even run at 4K on a One X, so...

I don't understand why Sony ditched the game, to this day. It was phenomenal and an amazing showcase of PS3 tech as good as anything else. Especially since this gen came and went without a strong multiplayer title from them. That game and Warhawk - no excuses!

From what I recall it started off with strong numbers but a vocal minority of the player base wanted it to play more like COD basically. The more patches they put out that changed the way the game felt in the beginning the fewer and fewer people were playing until none of the modes could start matches.

Tony Hawk's Project 8.

Super sad that these games are stuck on old hardware, especially SSX, I would really love to be able to play it online on pc with 60 fps.

I always wanted a 3DS, but life gets crazy...i never even saw the 3D gimmick :(

also missed out on all wii titles, so yeah, anything good between gamecube and switch :p

  • MGS4;
  • Metal Gear Rising;
  • Batman: Arkham Origins;
  • God of War: Ascension;
  • Dead Space Trilogy;
  • Resistance Trilogy;
  • Killzone 2;
  • Mass Effect Trilogy -- Although it already seems it's coming and the first game actually needs a full remake, just a remaster won't cut it. It aged horribly despite how great it is;
  • Assassin's Creed (the very first one) -- In hindsight it was actually more of a concept / tech demo and, like ME1, it has aged terribly. A full on remake with new cutscenes, dialogue, updated mechanics, design, new missions, bigger, denser and more detailed map(s) and environments would be required to be worth it.

An FPS like MAG would be a treat. I was kinda hoping we'd be at 256 player counts across the genre by now but we still stuck around 64 - 100 for the most part :messenger_expressionless:

Fragile Dreams seriously needs a remake, a hidden gem for the Wii that'll likely stay hidden.

I think to a large degree that's because most online games these days use peer to peer servers. They are sort of limited in player counts for probably latency reasons.

I would kill for a Lost Odyssey remake / remaster. That game never got the credit it deserved, IMO.

I mostly agree with this except GT. Won't GT7 have what those had and more? Why Sony sent Puppeteer out there to die at the end of a gen instead of putting it on PS4 in the first year is beyond me. What a charming little game. MAG was truly ahead of its time with that player count

The first 2 Ninja Gaiden Black games is all I need. I prefer those but would even accept the Sigma ports.

With Super Mario Galaxy the Switch has shown that it can replicate the Wii's motion controls very well. Wii games aren't the prettiest games to play on modern HD TVs, even with component cables, so I would love to see some more Wii games ported to the Switch and running at 1080p with Joy Con motion controls. These are some Wii games I'd like on Switch:

  • Dead Space Extraction
  • Sin & Punishment
  • The Conduit 1 & 2
  • Goldeneye
  • The Metroid Prime Trilogy
  • Super Mario Galaxy 2
  • Zelda Skyward Sword
  • Punchout
  • Metroid Other M
  • Red Steel 2

Muramasa is one of the few games I can think of that I believe is actually underrated (most of the time the word's used to describe titles that are very well liked in small circles but not known much outside of that, iow 'underappreciated'). Most of the time I see people talk about it they describe the hack and slash action as 'pretty good' and maybe touch on how attractive the visuals are (of course), but that shit always sells this game short.

Push the boundaries of the combat to the limit by playing on the 1 HP difficulty mode and learn how flexible the combat system can be when the only thing between you and death sometimes is your sword not breaking. And dynamic too, since the progression elements force you to switch up weapons too to remain strong enough to progress. Yeah, the game looks great -it's Vanillaware - but it sounds great too. Sakimoto never disappoints, and Seasonal Beauties and Road to Heaven are bangers. The DLC content is good too (although varies a little on quality - the farmer one is pretty weak imo, and the difficulty at the start of most of them is usually too high) although like most of the improvements from the Wii version like the higher resolution and improved localization they're all on the Vita which had a smaller audience. :(
