Did I mention that 3D World is also the GOAT OST?
That Big Band direction they went in was pure fire. Such an incredible soundtrack. As much as I love Galaxy’s orchestral tunes, this was something so much bolder and they pulled it off without even breaking a sweat.

Honestly each of these is brilliant, the latter 2 tied to utterly wonderful moments in the game. Honestly I'd happily listen to those in the car (and indeed I do, much to the wife's bemusement).

Yeah they nailed it in Odyssey too and incorporated so many different styles. They are masters of their trade.

One thing that really shook me with Odyssey was the two songs with lyrics. I was NEVER expecting that from Nintendo and both songs in the game, particularly the Bowser escape section one, are masterpieces.
Shout out to Steam Gardens. This one is sublime.

Live a Live stream this weekend. With the trademark renewal maybe it is finally coming to the west?
That would be cool. It's a fun RPG, if not a bit short.

Wonder if they actually want to revive it, or if they're just bringing a port forward. If it's the latter, that would be cool. If it's the former, they're gonna be disappointed by how few people actually know or care about this game.

As a completionist the only thing that holds back 3D World for me (from what I remember playing it several years back) is getting the 5 shiny stars. It is just tedious to do with one player. If you didn't have to clear every level with every character maybe my experience with the game would be different. But alas, the compulsion to clear everything is too strong for me. Galaxy 1&2 and Odyssey are my favorites. Odyssey is #1 for me as it had more smile-inducing moments than any other Mario game I've ever played.

I would love to see this addressed in the Switch version. They’re already going in and messing with moves and speed, so it’s clearly on the table. It stole a bit of joy from the endgame, which is rather well built for completionism, to have to literally play it that many times consecutively.

Klonoa 2 is honestly even better and it hasn't had a remake or re-release on anything. I need it before my PS2 disc rots away. But I'll settle for both, yeah. That'll happen.

Klonoa 2 is so goddamn good, I replayed it last year and it still holds up. The Wii one is good, but both the original and the sequel are better.

If we get Klonoa then glorious Sakurai deserves canonization.

Another good bet is ULTIMATE FAP MATERIAL Ryza.

I'm not ashamed to say I would buy that.

In person. Wearing a Nintendo shirt.

Can't Agree with you there. I loved playing through every level with each character. Once I did that, I ran through the entire game again using only mini Mario. And I did it all in one sitting.
not really.
