Because clearly every game that has existed should have a free upgrade /s

It's not like Spiderman just came out, this is a two year old game that they had to put work into for the PS5, not including the entire new Miles Morales game/experience.

Everybody around here these days is just extra angry at everything lately. It's real annoying
because xbox offers free upgrades like Horizon 4 and Gears 5

its only logical that Sony fans want to be treated well too

Whats the FULL rrp, 20 bucks on top of miles morales? Unlike most of you, I piss 20 bucks. Maybe trump needs to send his welfare cheques out again.
What that dickhead does with the welfare cheques is fuck all to me lad. in the UK this game as base is £49.99... the ultimate version is £69.99... id rather pay £49.99 for a Spiderman ps5 version than DLC, Sony are greedy as fuck. but clowns like you lap it up so it'll never change.

Ah yes, anyone who suggests they do it because the game has already sold a ton and it's a way to say thank you to existing customers is "entitled". If you didn't know, a little bit of goodwill goes a long way to making sure people buy your next product no questions asked. It's how CDPR have been able to be so successful over the years, I throw money at them not because have to, but because I want to.

Hope you like your $70 “remasters".

... at the end of the day you just want something for free when there is zero history of Sony ever giving away stuff like this for free. Just because CDPR is giving stuff away doesn't mean everyone else has to.

I never understand why people get so outraged at the idea of paying for a remaster like this. That's why we hardly get any, because publishers know they'll have a hell of a time selling them.

I don't get it. This takes time and money for the devs to do, I value the improvements, therefore I'm happy to pay. Why wouldn't I? It's weird.

$10-20 seems perfectly reasonable for an update like this.

How good does it look in comparison? Quite the endorsement. I assume you are the only one to have seen the game on here?

Well it's 4k 60fps which for me is definitely worth $10.

If the other improvements put it into Miles Morales territory, which doesn't seem unlikely, then that, for me, is worth the other $10.

4k/60 is fantastic. But also requires no work. $0 upgrade.

The rest, needs to be seen.

Even if it required zero work I'd still be happy to pay $10, because it's worth at least that to me. But I doubt that's literally true because we'd see a multitude of those sorts of updates offered for free, because the PR benefit would be worth it.

For me it's really annoying that people have this attitude, because I'd LOVE to be able to have paid $5 say for updates to games like Driveclub, Uncharted, Bloodborne etc for the PS4 Pro.

I think the truth is probably that it IS some amount of work, and developers figured that if they're gonna get shit for charging then it's not worth their time. And I think that's a real shame.

Whats was the story like? What were the awesome powers? Ohhhhh right you dont know because you dont have nor played the game, shush

Platted the original and completed everything. The new features are welcome but I don't think I'd want to play the same game again for another 30 hours. I'd be more interested if I didn't have a backlog. Still, day one for the Miles game though.

Agreed.

Would have gladly paid for PS4 Pro 60fps patches for games stuck at 30. Gaming would be so much better off if entitled crybabies would just unclench and learn to speak with their dollars.

I been playing this game for the first time and im honestly shocked at how fun it is and how good it looks for such a massive open world, im not much of a Spider Man fanboy, but this game is 👌

Its quickly competing with Breath of the Wild for my favorite open world game, despite both having different strenght and weakness (Spider Man world is nowhere near as fun to explore and no Zelda towns or puzzles, but its main story is awesome, writting and cutscenes are fun and insanely crafted) but i think if they were to compete in the poll i would give the edge to Spider Man because it actually has fun combat. Pretty exited for the new expansion now

Anything about a physical release?
Yup. At least work for the money Sony. Put all the dlc and the updates on disc. As far as I know we never got a complete edition release. They really are trying hard to shit on the good will they clawed back last gen.

The most important thing is, will my savegame carry over to the ps5 version? I haven't finished the game yet so I'd like to continue were I left on PS4

They did release a complete edition, but the DLCs are not on the disc.:messenger_expressionless:

No, but Microsoft optimize a lot of old games for free and they are doing again with xbox one x.
One thing is to enable or disable graphical settings from the PC version.

Another very different thing is to make a full remastered version with new aseets, features and content plus new important visual upgrades that the original game didn't have at all.

When Microsoft made remasters or remakes they didn't gave them away for free.

Paid remasters....it’s the reason why they don’t give a shit about bc
99% of the PS5 games support PS4 BC, which features a boost mode. One of these supported games is the original Spiderman PS4 game that you'll be able to play for free on PS5 (not remastered, but sounds like using Boost mode) if you own it on PS4.
