Nintendo better not do this. A LoZ show?

There’s been rumors of a Legend of Zelda show for years.

PS5 and Xbox struggling with ray-traced reflections. Pfft.

Nice try, Sony and Microsoft, but you can't top the power of the

They did an outstanding job, those visuals look top notch

The only thing I wish, is that this title had been released at the very start of summer, June 20th that would have been some extremely thoughtful marketing, but it would have never worked out well given the pandemic even if Nintendo was ready to release Super Mario 3D All Stars

Has anyone ever surpassed the water in Sunshine??

If they have, I'm sure it's an off-the-shelf thing you can buy and insert into your <insert-engine> game.
You should see the water in Paper Mario: The Origami King during this one particular area. They decided to go all out, it seriously is the best looking water in all of gaming that I have witnessed. It’s only shown for one cutscene I think but I was just like WTF?!!??! and I don’t even care about realistic graphics. You’re talking to someone who was playing N64 all day and barely had a single thought about the PS3 during its entire lifespan lol. Idk why Nintendo decided to flex in that instance, but it was impressive. If they ever improve their systems to PS5 or XSX level they’ll probably start dominating the market like never before

Are they any good?

I love Revelations 1. It’s a fantastic mix of old-school horror RE and action RE, with great pacing that kept me interested and having a great time throughout. Before the RE2 Remake, it was the only thing good about Resident Evil for a long time there.

2, I’m not sure about. Really enjoyed what I played, and it looked absolutely great, but it seemed less immediately appealing.

I thought they were very entertaining. But I also go a little overboard with Resident Evil games

I thought they were a nice change up in the series, they went in a different direction with both and are very unique. They’re not classics, they’re not incredible games, but they are a very entertaining in their own ways. I’m also an unconventional Resident Evil fan though, I saw beauty in Resident Evil 6 (widely the most hated game in the series) despite all its many, many shortcomings, and flaws. I. fact, I completed all 4 campaign stories twice lol

Which Resident Evil games have you played @hariseldon

There’s a better instance, the one I’m talking about happened (I think...) underground sort of near the beginning of the adventure? Or maybe it was a temple?

There was whirlpool like motions of water flowing into an area in which Mario needed it to, and it looked stunning. Even more so than that vid you found. It was something Nintendo never does so I was surprised to see them outclassing even something you could expect Sony Playstation games to have at their best. But it was only like one small area during a cutscene lol. Still very impressive, what was shown

I wonder if I have to insert the cart for my 2nd copy of 3D Allstars to get a 2nd set of pins. I only have 3 different Nintendo accounts for US, Europe, and Asia. Trying to use the eshop to buy Super Robot Wars dlc was fun.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Ready to jump in to Monster Hunter for the first time. Rise looks great.
Nice that the Switch is getting it's own version as I've heard mixed things about World. Generations, on the other hand, was universally praised.

It is time. :messenger_fistbump:

Yes, 100% into that. The Switch getting its own version of stuff is soooo much more compelling to me than ports.

Yeah, you're goddamn right. Having played Doom 2016 and Wolfenstein II on PC recently, I kind feel like the Switch versions are pointless. Yeah it's great to have these games portable, but they are garbage compared to a competent PC version, and a barely stable 30fps is just a crime for both of these games. As good as Panic Button are, I'd much rather have an experience catered specifically to the Switch, even if that makes a change in art-style or a less realistic graphical style.

This was a good direct. Granted there wasn't much for me personally, but it felt big and the announcements were good. This is what Nintendo needs to do with these partner directs. Don't treat them as a "hey, look at this third party guff coming up this month", give us some big games and a surprise or two. WWE Battlegrounds, keep away.
Surprised we saw no THPS 1+2 or anything from EA. Guess that's coming in October's Direct :messenger_winking:

From April:

As the de facto handheld of the next generation, where is Monster Hunter and its clones? I'm not knocking on World, which transitioned to a console market flawlessly, but a handheld MH would still be nice. Nintendo needs to at least be putting out clones / knockoffs to serve that market. If Nintendo doesn't broker some deal with CAPCOM to at least get a Monster Hunter Stories 2 and a standalone Monster Hunter Portable, then I'm going to dump this soy in the ocean.

Safe for now:

I'm guessing the Switch version of Hades doesn't have anything exclusive to it? Definitely want to play the game, but I'll just get it on PC if that's the case.

I'm still getting Mario 35 tomorrow, while the graphics don't bother me the lack of gamecube controller support for Sunshine is the one thing that really bothers me.

Yeah, it's so weird. Hopefully the game gets the same treatment as the recent Doom 1/2 ports and Nintendo fixes some of the smaller issues and adds some basic functionality.

Do we think this game will unlock tongiht?

*Watches Ninja Gaiden footage and gets nostalgic* Man Soulsborne and Sekiro blocking/parrying is for fucking casuals. Watching that gameplay makes me wonder how the fuck did I even beat Ninja Gaiden sixteen years ago.

I farmed bats. Lots and lots of fucking bats. Play Nioh/Nioh 2 if you haven't. Those games are instant classics.

Ninja Gaiden really isn't that difficult in the grand scheme of things. It's nowhere nearly as difficult as Dark Souls-style games. It is a lot better, though.
