Paper launch. They probbaly had 20 cards per site. Bots took a majority of them. I just had the NVIDIA Store update and by the time I go to checkout it loaded for a few seconds and then it sold out.

Doesn't even seem like it. I saw the PNY version but thye pulled it pretty quick when it went OOS. And then, amazon.de has EVGA listings which is also OOS. I don't see anything for NA/US.

They announce a product for a specific day, get a bunch of hype, but only release a tiny amount of stock into the wild. Technically, they launched, but basically no one had a chance of actually buying one. I think the "paper" is supposed to refer to the press release that goes out on launch day.

I believe Nvidia has done this many times in the past.

I guess US customers have it the hardest, not enough stock for all interested. But over here in Germany it wasn't easy so catch one, either. Casekings poor little nginx got hammered real bad. I got lucky and got myself an ASUS ROG Strix 3080 OC. Wish you all the best of luck who're still trying!
